Definitely stay positive!

You will know if things are progressing the right way in 2 days. It will seem like the longest wait ever.

Do you know your lmp? How many weeks did you think you should be? And when did you get your BFP?

MrsKrios · 23/10/2014 19:42

I got a faint bfp 12 days ago, a much better one on a first response ten days ago.

No idea when my lmp was. In the first two weeks of September though (feel a bit silly for not knowing).

No idea what to think really but the good news is it's definitely not what happened to me last year.

TheDetective · 23/10/2014 19:47

I'd say your scan is probably right and everything is so far as it should be :) you are likely to be a similar gestation to me. I got my BFP 13 days ago at 10DPO. My lmp was 17th sept.

So I don't think you could be more than 6 weeks yet.

Looks like lots to be positive over :)

Chookford · 23/10/2014 19:58

mrsk sounds promising that you are just earlier than you thought you were, will keep everything crossed that sat your numbers have doubled.

mrsE hope your son had a lovely day, and hopefully the scan won't show two or more babies in there Grin

detective that just made me go and search for my 6 week scan pic of my dd, ahh lovely memories! And can I just say much respect for the 16hrs sleep! You are my hero! Grin

MrsKrios · 23/10/2014 20:05

Thank you all for being so lovely. I've been totally alone in this with DH being away and you've been lifesavers.

Thank goodness he is currently boarding his plane home! Grin

TheDetective · 23/10/2014 20:12

16 hours is just abnormal! I'm still tired. I think I'll be going back to bed soon!!

Eeeeek!

cuphat · 23/10/2014 20:37

Sorry to those who have had bad news.

Fingers crossed for you MrsK, it's sounding positive.

MrsExtraOrdinary · 23/10/2014 21:27

He did have a good day thanks chook and would you believe my exh texted me at exactly the time he was born to ask where the last 16 years has gone? Grin exh does drive me mad but glad we can still reminisce about the happy times. Got me all chocked!

Kyz · 23/10/2014 21:41

Evening ladies, I'm on my iPad tonight so can't edit the stats doc but will do it tomorrow :)

Awwww shucks msj don't worry! I'm staying put Grin

So sorry choccy and chaos Flowers

mrsk you've had some great advice tonight. Stay positive, it's all you can do. Your level is good but as you say it's all about what it does in 48 hours that's important. Done bubbas are slow starters. X

I feel so nauseous tonight. Made the mistake of having some chocolate cake and now I could quite happily throw it up to feel feel better again Sad Bluergh.

Got my blood tests forms today, so will make an appointment to get those done.

Zaccheryquack · 24/10/2014 05:42

Morning everyone. So sorry to Choccy and Chaos - have been thinking of you.

MrsK fingers crossed for you. by the sounds of it the test sounded positive so fingers crossed that ll ok when you get rechecked.

Detective feel a bit jealous of all the sleeping! Feel exhausted but waking up at 5 at the latest at the moment. Tiredness has hit me over the last couple of days so I have been useless in the evening. We have been in our house a year and it still needs A LOT of work. We are trying to do it in our evenings when DD asleep and DH is feeling the urgency now and working really hard. I on the other hand just want to sit down after I have got DD to bed. Feel really guilty as he is doing so much and I feel fairly useless.

On the plus side I had my early scan yesterday and we saw a little heartbeat. Slightly embarrassing as they had to do an internal scan because I was so gassy! According to the lady I am about 5 days less pregnant that I thought. Obviously came home and obsessively googled about whether that could mean anything is wrong but all seems ok. Also coincided with my first call from the midwife for my booking in appointment so all starting to feel a bit real now.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 24/10/2014 05:45

I am so sleep deprived. DD has been waking up for the day at 4am every morning for the last 3 weeks and dh has been away. Trying to juggle such a busy life on so little sleep even without being unduffed is virtually impossible.
Must find some matchsticks to keep my eyes open at work today.
Sorry for the moan. At least I'm not feeling too sick yet- just a lot of low level nausea but not too bad.

ots · 24/10/2014 07:30

Morning. Does anyone have any advice? If I wasn't pregnant my period would be due today. I've woken up with period type cramps (no blood though). Does anyone know if this is normal? I've got myself into a bit of a panic that I'm going to come on :(

Zaccheryquack · 24/10/2014 07:52

ots am sure someone with some experience of this will be on in a minute but just wanted to say don't worry too much. It is probably just things stretching a bit down there!

Guybrush - I feel bad for complaining now. I remember how it was when my dd thought 4am was the morning. It is exhausting. We have a much improved 5:45 alarm call now, which feels like a luxury. Can you remind me how old your little person is? Some people have no success with them at all but I firmly believe that the gro-clock we bought DD was a miracle worker! It did seem to buy us another hour or so sleep. Think DD was maybe about 20 months when we got it and I was desperate! Think you are great for coping on your own

Chookford · 24/10/2014 08:11

ots I know lots of ladies who had this throughout the whole pregnancy each month cramps when period was due, although it was worrying it's quite normal apparently! I'm sure someone who has experienced it will give better advice though

zach congrats on the scan, lovely news!

mrsE glad your son had a nice day and it's so much easier when your amicable with the ex isn't it!!

Hope everyone else is ok, happy Friday Grin

MrsExtraOrdinary · 24/10/2014 08:17

Chook he's in arse sometimes but exh is their dad and I wouldn't and haven't ever denied them that. But yes when it comes to special times it's lovely to share the memories.

Ots ive had quite unbearable cramps since my af due date. I'm 7 weeks tomorrow. I'd say unless it was more one side than the other or was teamed with blood loss then not really to worry. I've noticed the more pregnancies I've had the worse the cramping becomes that goes for during pregnancy and after pains after birth.

notsoold · 24/10/2014 08:39

Ots....I have seen this happening with relatives and close friends without any consequences. It is funny how your body seems to remember that af should be at certain date but please don't worry. It happens that is all.
MrsE same here!!! The contractions ( or shrinking of the womb) the first few days after birth were quite strong after dc3!!
Guybrush Brew for today and that is early eh??? Poor you

Morning to all. Today I am mostly stressed (have a scan later on) with a sprinkle of tiredness!!!Grin

MrsKrios · 24/10/2014 08:52

Morning all, good luck to all those having scans.

Today is going to be a loooong day

MrsExtraOrdinary · 24/10/2014 08:52

Hare to tell you this notsoold but they'll be worse this time! I think I'm just going to spend a week in bed like they did in the old days Wink I swear last time it was as painful as labour ESP when I was feeding. Ouch ouch ouch!

ots · 24/10/2014 08:53

Thanks for the reassurance :) . I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow, so now further than we got last time, that in itself feels like a little milestone and makes me feel more positive. I think I'll worry this whole pregnancy about every little hiccup though. Once we get past 12 weeks we've got the 'has baby moved enough today' worry. I won't relax until baby is here. Ha, who am I kidding... Then you have their whole life to worry about them!

HariboBrenshnio · 24/10/2014 09:09

ots it's a different kind of worry when to arrive though. Pregnancy worry is a whole different ball game! It's the complete lack of control where as once they are here, you can look at them and see if something is wrong. You have some control over what happens to them and you can comfort them. While pregnant, you just have to hope that your body does it's job properly and you read your baby's movement. I find the worry quite stressful, especially the kicking. I was relieved not to have that worry anymore when DS arrived.

notsoold I will be thinking of you today lovely xx

We're headed to London to stay with DP's mum. She's lovely but thy are a very smokey family so hopefully I can keep me and DS away from it!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 24/10/2014 09:22

Whohooo I've just realised I don't feel sick?! should I worry Confused

notsoold · 24/10/2014 10:01

haribo thank you and a lovely time. Just open their windows anytime someone goes near a cigarette Grin

ots yep..
Worries even when they are adultsGrinShock
MrsE I can see why they did that. Having said that my recovery time gets better each time so that is a plus!
MrsK a loooòng day indeed....

Chookford · 24/10/2014 10:45

Good that for the scan today notso
