royal & piglet Congratulations on your scan news :) Really happy they went well. No bump for me yet, just bloat :(

Tits Yay :) This is also first day of 2nd tri - time has flown by since 12 week scan. I have the 16 week midwife's appointment in two weeks which just feels so unbelievable. I look back to my posts in August when every day was dragging and 16 week and 20 week milestones felt so, so far away!!

Lots of lovely milestones ahead too - halloween, bon fire night and Christmas to look forward to :)

Great news on scans :) xx

Royalsteph · 27/10/2014 15:38

My scan pic 12+1. I hope this works :-)

May 2015: Thread 3 - Let's do this :)
Fluffeh · 27/10/2014 16:05

Fab news on the scans and lovely scan pic Steph!
My scan is Thursday morning I'm so excited/nervous.
Sickness is back with a vengeance I cant eat or drink anything other than water without being sick. I'm hoping its a bug but it started Saturday after my curry and hasn't stopped yet :(.

KittyVonCatsington · 27/10/2014 17:02

What a great pic steph! I love seeing the outline of the leg and little feet Halloween Grin

Preparing now for a home visit from a Doula that I would like to have during the labour. She is coming in an hour. V. exciting!

I did get an Obstetrics appointment from the hospital through the post and panicked a little (after all, expecting blood test results for Downs likelihood etc.) but then check my notes and midwife did tick the Consultant Care box due to my previous slipped discs and request for an epidural birth. Things are ticking along nicely!

Royalsteph · 27/10/2014 17:07

it was kicking, waving it's arms and turned its back on us. cheeky little bean.
I hope your doula visit goes well Smile
time is flying quite quickly I think

jazzyjenbo · 27/10/2014 17:32

Finally got chance to get onto desktop site to see the scans, here are my gender guesses... Ru all going to find out?

Steph - girl
Lina - girl
Bean - boy
Wiggle - boy
Getthe - boy
Kitty - girl
Tits - girl

Thats as far as i've gone back... Absolutely fantastic to see all these health beans.. Still waiting for sum1 to come on and say they are having twins. The August thread i was on had 2 sets.

Royalsteph · 27/10/2014 17:44

definitely finding out (if bean doesn't wriggle too much) I'm too impatient not too. we told our Dc's about bean today and my DS (6) said is that why you've been erm getting big mummy haha

Titsalinabumsquash · 27/10/2014 17:49

We're finding out, I want to head off all the gender disappointment comments from family mil and friends if it's a boy, I don't want any child of mine coming into this world being labeled as wrong for its gender! Angry touchy subject DP and I have both honestly said we'd be thrilled with either sex and all we wish for is a health baby and healthy me at the end of it! Smile

jazzyjenbo · 27/10/2014 17:55

Ohh tits, i guessed girl aswell for you so lets see if you get ur brood of boys or you get a female influence (prob b tomboy if u have a house full of boys though ey?Grin)
I'm happy either way not even got my scan date yet and on my previous 2 dc's didnt hav a nub to guess from.

kittiker · 27/10/2014 18:10

Haven't posted for a while as I've been too knackered but I've been enjoying reading along and seeing everybody's lovely scan photos. I've got mine tomorrow and I'm very nervous. I had a scan privately at 9 weeks which was great but I'm still terrified something might have gone wrong. Roll on tomorrow.

BeanCalledPickle · 27/10/2014 18:16

Are you guessing based on photo or on what I said?! I can't see it either way!

jazzyjenbo · 27/10/2014 18:35

Just guessing from photo, i didnt re read the thread just scrolled back through to look at the photos so can't remember what everyone else guessed/commented at the time. Some didnt have nubs to guess from so just looked at the little faces.

bradders85 · 27/10/2014 18:41

If I can resist the temptation at 20 week scan I am not going to find out the gender, happy to guess though! DP would like to know but I think it would be nice to have a surprise Smile

Turquoisetamborine · 27/10/2014 18:56

Lovely scan pictures! Congratulations to everyone. So nice to have good news on the thread.
I'm not going to find out the gender although I've got a strong feeling it's another boy. I think it's more fun if you know what date you'll be giving birth with an elec section if you have some surprise. I'm not telling anyone other than my mam and dad when I'll be giving birth. I don't want loads of texts asking all the time.

KittyVonCatsington · 27/10/2014 20:22

Hee Hee! It will be fun to find out if all the guesses/predictions were right!

Doula was lovely, feel much happier about the birth now. Good luck with your scan kittiker!

WigglyWigglyWoo · 27/10/2014 20:52

That's interesting Jazzy. How are you making those guesses? We already know the sex because we found out on the harmony test results but we are keeping it a secret so its a surprise for everyone else Smile

Justyouwaitandsee · 27/10/2014 21:14

Hey everyone! Great to see lots more scans Smile I booked in for my 16 week appointment today on 12th Nov. Most people know now. Told great-grandparents to be at the weekend, cue lots of tears!

Have been meaning to ask if anyone else has a cough? I have had a really nasty hacking sounding cough since pretty much as soon as we found out. I think it's partly linked to the sickness but seems to be a permanent fixture even when I'm not feeling sick. Seems particularly bad in the morning and at night...

FeelingBlessed77 · 27/10/2014 21:39

Well after a dinner of pork pie, some cheese and ham. I am now in bed. exhausted again today.

Just - yes I have had really bad hacking cough, but mine makes me feel sick.

LinaDee · 27/10/2014 21:47

Good evening ladies, apologies in advance for the rant but I'm feeling utterly awful tonight!

Had a horrendous day at work with a particularly difficult pupil this afternoon and actually ended up in tears (SO not like me at work but some how this wee so n so got right under my skin)
I feel so bloated/fat and thrush is not easing at all - I think a trip to the doc is in order this week.

On the bright side DH got us a wee take away tonight and we caught up on some of the TV shows we watch. Bit of Mad Men/Luther.
However, I am now in bed upset again missing my DD. She stays with PIL on a Monday night so we don't have to ferry her back n forward two days. She loves it but tonight im missing her cheeky wee face, cuddles and kisses.

No idea why I'm on such a downer today but I hope the cloud goes away for tomorrow.
Thanks if you've read my self pity post all the way through.

Justyouwaitandsee · 27/10/2014 22:24

Aww hugs Lina! ThanksCake

aberjen · 28/10/2014 06:26

Morning all! So exciting reading all the lovely scan news and seeing your pics - congratulations ladies!

Lina Sorry you had such a rough day yesterday, hope you're feeling better this morning.

Been unintentionally keeping a low profile just through feeling sick and shattered a lot of the time but had a much better week last week, and feel like the end of first trimester roughness is properly in sight! Scan on Thursday afternoon... Also had my booking in appointment a couple of weeks ago. Made a point of booking in with a midwife a saw a lot postnatally who was absolutely brilliant - I had some awful anxiety issues in the days and weeks after DD was born, and she helped me so much. So it was lovely to see her and was a v relaxed, chatty appointment. Told her we're considering mixed feeding to take some of the pressure off and she's said she'll support me in that, which is also great. She's also referred me to consultant 'just in case' as technically I had a postpartum haemorrhage with DD (which I'd completely forgotten about!) but probably just down to forceps delivery and episiotomy (joy). So waiting to hear about that.

Good luck kittiker and madpixie, and anyone else with scans today!

acemay · 28/10/2014 06:42

Congratulations on all the recent scans!

I'd been hoping to hide my pregnancy until Christmas as I've only been working there a few months so not sure how it's going to go down, but one of the girls at work outright asked me yesterday if I'm pregnant so clearly my 13 week belly looks like more than a cake belly. My boss is off for a few weeks but I guess I'd better say something when he comes back. Not looking forward to that conversation at all! Has anyone told work yet?

Justyouwaitandsee · 28/10/2014 06:54

I've told work. Well I told my manager, and then another colleague outed me to our director by asking him if I was pregnant. He asked my manager, and she had to confirm I was. After that it just seemed easier to let everyone know - and at least I can say if I'm feeling rubbish, and don't have to be so selective over my choice of outfit!

WigglyWigglyWoo · 28/10/2014 07:09

I've told work too. Mainly because I'm so excited that I was finding it hard not to talk about it! It is nice knowing everyone knows now. Bump-wise I still have nothing so I don't think they would have guessed. Not sure what it will be like by Christmas though!

Are you ladies using a pregnancy phone app? I'm using Pregnancy + Health and parenting which is very good but just wondered whether anyone had any other recommendations.

Good luck to those having scans today- enjoy this exciting time Smile
