Welcome mammy :)

Is the FB group for this thread or the general April one?

TinyTear · 13/11/2014 10:19

it's for both. As long as you are in MN and in one of these threads you are welcome

Fortunately the temperature is still low - which is good as she has had a febrile convulsion before so now I panic if it goes high. 'Just a virus' is dr speak for I don't know Grin. Although I don't really know what is wrong with her - she just isn't right today.

lila35 · 13/11/2014 12:04

And we have a boy!!! No more calling him an it!!!! So relieved, all is looking well, we have a well behaved little fella in there!

TinyTear · 13/11/2014 12:06

Yay Lila!! Now you can start thinking of names...

I can give you our boys names as we won't be using them now!

Angry The NHS must be the most convuluted system known to mankind.

After being pestered by my ex consultant for months on end I now have the ex community midwives involving themselves too! I made it clear when I first told my GP I was pregnant that under no circumstances will I ever have anything to do with these people.
Their treatment of me in both pregnancies was dreadful and I feel they contributed to DD death due to poor care. It was so bad the hospital midwives called them to make it clear once I was discharged they were to stay away from me.

Due to their involvement my asprin prescription has been cancelled WTF that was ordered by my consultant what gives a midwife the right to over ride such a thing especially one that isn't part of my care and never met me!

I called my hospital I am defintely part of their team the reason I haven't had appointments is because the fetal medicine team forgot to pass my file through this will be sorted out on Monday.
My GP is also calling me tomorrow to work out what happened.

DH is furious too and is currently calling them trying to find out on who's authority they were given access to my file and why they are making descions about my care.
I wouldn't be half as pissed if it hadn't been for a data breach in my last pregnancy with them that resulted in someone accessing my file and all my personal details calling pretending to be my mother and cancelling an my appointment an the EPU to determine if I had a MC.
Not a single other person outside my marriage knew I was pregnant.

I'm starting to think our original plan of having no medical care was the better plan.

LittleBairn · 13/11/2014 14:01

Needless to say the local authority that the ex hospital and midwife team are part of have the highest rate in fetal, neo-natal and infant mortality rate in the country.

TinyTear · 13/11/2014 14:08

That is absolutely appaling, I didn't know midwives could cancel prescriptions!

And what happened before, just beyond belief. who would do that and why???

I hope you get to the bottom of it and from Monday things finally start looking up a lot more.

You are a week behind me, right? about 17+5 ish? (I am 18+5)

OP posts:
LittleBairn · 13/11/2014 14:34

Tiny neither did I, in fact I bet they can't. I think the GP has cancelled it due to her medling. So I'm pretty cross with them too.

Trust me the mystery of that caller will trouble me forever more. They were really unhelpful about my complaint really obstructive and being pregnant at the time I just didn't want the extra stress. They didn't seem to understand the law had been broken.
Oh and apparently it wasn't malicious because when it was cancelled the caller said I had a scan elsewhere and the baby was fine.
Hmm I don't know on who's planet that cancelling a neccessarily EPU appointment is considered as non-malicious.

Good memory yes I'm 17+5.

TinyTear · 13/11/2014 15:39

By the way this is really good to show what happens inside you and how SQUASHED the bladder is getting - and everything else

little That is appalling.

lila35 · 13/11/2014 17:15

As if you need more added stress Little!! Hopefully this matter gets resolved quickly.

I have spent the afternoon working and talking about this little one as a he and he finally feels like a real person, I really really think I am going to get a baby now!!! Fingers crossed! My sisters have gone into squeaky overdrive and my amazing Grandad is just over the moon, Just holding off calling my parents but they got a text earlier and the scan pics, my mum wanted a boy for some reason as we are quite girl heavy on this side of the family.

How on earth we are going to find a boys name we like I don't know....could take a while, all suggestions welcome Wink

LIG Glad DD temp is good febrile convulsions are scary. So true about Dr speak 'I have no idea'

Tiny Biscuit tin reaching is milestone up there with walking IMO.
Grin especially in the kids opinion!

Babies at least he let you back out! I do find they start using those cars for all sorts of trouble once they realise they can use them like a stepping stool.

I'm feeling rather zen like now, its DH and I wedding anniversary today.
DH went to chemist and yes the cancelled my prescription over a week ago, I'm actually late in picking it up luckily I have some extra.
DH is dealing with th midwives and making a formal complaint.
I will deal with the Dr.
Now I'm feeling like I just don't care worst case scenario my consultant has to write me a prescription on Monday.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 13/11/2014 20:24

Congratulations lila

LittleBairn · 13/11/2014 20:30

smiling I will be thinking about you tomorrow, I hope it all goes well.
It really is its almost become farcical. I'm so glad I went with my gut and moved my care.

MammySam · 13/11/2014 22:19

Flipping heck little that sounds awful. Hope you get to the bottom of it all and whoever is responsible gets it in the neck. Outrageous.

Hope everyone else is OK, and thank you for all my welcomes Grin
