Hi Ladies- been hanging around here for a while but not posted yet- I'm due Xmas day with number 3, but really hoping to either be 10 days early or 10 days late!! The kids don't trust Dads cooking skills!! Lovely to read all your posts. Smile

Cuppachaplz · 24/11/2014 07:11

Snap, kels

Best wishes for today bighairy

peace not nice Hmm, hoping you get some rest soon! like when ummmm.... Sad

In yesterday with tightenings, back pain, early labour type signs. Managed to convince them to let me home overnight, but uncomfortable and very little sleep, and DH waking me to check I was ok if I did drop off... Grrr Angry
Back up again in a bit. Want baby to cook a bit more, but would also quite like these constant early signs to stop...

Merry Monday ladies x

Up at silly o clock for a week of tradesmen at the house. I am soooo sleepy. Sad

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 24/11/2014 09:09

I took a co-codamol last night because my hips felt like they were splitting in half, and hey presto! I slept in blocks of two hours, three hours, four hours, two hours Grin still not perfect but much nicer than 45 minutes - one hour at a time!

That's good peace! My workers who should have been here at 9 not here yet. I could be sleeping!

Lucy90 · 24/11/2014 09:34

Is anyone else bored of being pregnant? I dont mean to sound ungrateful because i know our babies are little miracles, but im sick of aching in places i didnt know i could ache, of not being allowed a runny egg, of not being allowed a glass of wine, of taking 10 minutes to get up the stairs, of getting out of breath just because ive stood up, of not sleeping at night, of heart burn, of being tired all the bloody time, and most of all-people telling me 'not long now!!' Or 'oooo youre getting big!!' And me smiling back but secretly wanting to staple things to their head!
Sorry for the rant, feeling rather sorry for myself today :(
36 wks today

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 24/11/2014 10:46

Lucy fgs have egg and soldiers and a glass of wine for your dinner! You'll feel much better for it, I promise!
I'm bloody sick and tired of pregnancy too.

I am fed up too but just want a couple more weeks to get sorted out. Then baby has to come immediately!

Anyway, runny eggs are fine - it was official a couple of weeks ago I think. At this stage I'd have them anyway (and have done). Still saving myself for Christmas day pate though. Followed shortly after by haggis. Nommm.

espa · 24/11/2014 11:22

Just put on my first baby wash. I have 20 white muslins already - none bought myself! 9 are hand me downs but as good as new.

Lucy90 · 24/11/2014 11:50

Ive decided to have dippy egg and soldiers for breakfast on xmas day whether baby has arrived or not! And a glass of wine with lemonade.
What has my life become when im over excited for egg and soldiers...

carlene1987 · 24/11/2014 12:04

Hi all. Can I please join in?

My partner and I are expecting our first child (a boy) on 10/12/14 and waiting very impatiently! Every twinge has me guessing and I'm only 37+5.

I haven't had a chance to read through the entire thread as of yet but will soon, now that I have time since I started my maternity leave today Smile

How is everyone coping with being close to the finishing line (sort of speak!)?

Lucy90 · 24/11/2014 12:27

Welcome carlene!!
Im excited/nervous/impatient/emotional about the baby coming! Due 22/12

carlene1987 · 24/11/2014 12:44

Hi Lucy :) I second all of those feelings. It's a rather scary notion and seems to have came around so quickly but my goodness I'm ready for little one to make his entrance into the world. Sleep is a long and distant memory and my partner painted my toenails last night but I think my cat would have done a better job, haha! He's a gem for trying though.

I'm currently whizzing around trying to make sure everything is ready but flagging and being drawn to the sofa, tea and a nice book.

Have you started your maternity leave yet?

Has anyone on this thread had any issues around blood pressure during the latter part of their pregnancy? I've been perfectly normal all the way through my pregnancy with no issues but seem to have run into some minor preeclampsia symptoms over the last few weeks. My BP is running at about 130/90, I have a trace of protein in my urine at every appointment and I have a frontal headache with mild swelling in my right foot. My MW seems to think that this is OK for now as long as my BP doesn't get any higher and other symptoms remain mild, but I can't help but be nervous about it. Has anyone had any experience with this before?

espa · 24/11/2014 18:00

My baby is having a MASSIVE wriggle about, all sorts poking out my stomach. Hope he/she isn't getting any ideas about coming out! Probably just complaining about being hungry.
