Don't want to go into details but my SIL had PE. Best thing really for sll is for baby to be out, regardless of the method, so hope that happens soon. Thinking of you.

kusmile · 17/11/2014 17:39

Good luck with the induction omama, fingers crossed it all goes super smoothly so you don't need to hang around in hospital too long. Try to keep your spirits up in the mean time, you'll soon have a gorgeous little girl to take home Flowers

And congratulations to Brian Grin

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 17/11/2014 19:04

Just to let you all know... My waters broke about an hour ago and things appear to be starting...

Eeek!!!!!!!!!

kusmile · 17/11/2014 19:15

OMG, good luck pourquoi Grin

This thread has got really exciting recently - so much happening!

Meanwhile I've been in bed for hours feeling too huge to move. Pffft, roll on December.

Chipandspuds · 17/11/2014 19:48

Eek! Good luck Pourquoi!!

Lucy90 · 17/11/2014 20:14

Good luck!!!!

Roonerspism · 17/11/2014 20:16

Oh goodness - lots happening!

Best of luck pourquoi!!!

omama really hope that little pessary does its job

omama · 17/11/2014 23:02

Ooh Good luck pourquoi!!!

Kept me waiting 12hrs for the examination - cervix soft but closed so they have decided that if the bp meds stabilise me overnight I can go home tomorrow but will have to come back friday to be induced.

AziziRose · 18/11/2014 03:44

Hoping that your BP settles omama and you get a restful couple of days at home.

Sorry to hear things aren't going to plan, naughty babies like us to know who rules the roost hey! Sending hugs x

espa · 18/11/2014 05:54

Can't sleep. Been awake for hours feeling sick and with a really sore tummy. Sad Tiredness not helping nor is the fact baby is a wriggly monster. Now DH up for work so another hour of no sleep beckons.

Frustrating as I have a busy social life today including a massage!

CatFaceCrayola · 18/11/2014 08:16

Sounds similar to here espa. Managed about 2.5 hours sleep but otherwise been awake with belly ache and an overactive Bubble!

Chipandspuds · 18/11/2014 08:22

Not that it helps but I'm glad I'm not the only one who's had a rubbish nights sleep Grin DS was up quite a few times with his cough. DH still has a cough/cold and is totally grumpy with lack of sleep. I don't know why DH doesn't just take a day off work and stay in bed, I'm sure he'd get better faster!

Hope your blood pressure is okay today omama?

omama · 18/11/2014 10:50

Its sky high again chips Sad so not sure I'll be allowed home. Waiting for dr to do his round & give me the verdict.

Any news from pourquoi?

espa & catface is your bellyache BH? Or just general feeling huge & uncomfiness? I've had a sore belly right near my belly button, cant decide if its my section scar stretching or if its stretch marks developing but its bloody sore!

Sorry for the moany post but feeling a bit sorry for myself today. Sad

mythical · 18/11/2014 10:53

Serious slacker here! Still pregnant! Edd in 10 days!mdecided a couple of days ago to go for a home birth. MW due today for home assessment. A bit nervous, hope you're all well x

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 18/11/2014 11:30

We're going to need a postnatal thread soon if you lot keep popping out babies at this rate! Grin

I'm hoping to last at least another three weeks, though I wouldn't like to go over five.

JL are sending us out a new bolt for the cot, so hopefully that'll arrive this week. No mention of apologetic vouchers, though, much to DH's disgust Grin

This is my first day of maternity leave where I'd usually be at work, if that makes sense, and it felt really odd last night not thinking, "I'd better go to bed else I'll not get up in the morning". I slept until 11am instead!!

Good luck to everyone imminently giving birth/being induced etc. Omama I hope it's not too uncomfortable for you and they sort you out ASAP. PE is really horrible :(

Midwife tomorrow and then epic journey over the sea on Thursday! What am I doing?! Ha.

omama I'm not really sure what BH feels like. I'd say this is more than just being uncomfy, it was quite painful but I always thought BH wasn't meant to be painful? I guess it feels like pretty bad period cramps but not low down rather on my whole bump. Accompanied by nausea.

Part of me secretly hopes baby wants to come soon (35w today) but I have things to do this week, my bag isn't packed and we are having a bathroom installed next week. So maybe hold off another couple of weeks if so!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 18/11/2014 12:46

I read that BH should just be tightening and not painful, but I've had cramps/contractions on and off since about 20 weeks that must be BH (ie they're not labour!) and they feel just as painful as early labour contractions. So I don't believe all this, "BH shouldn't be painful" stuff. I do think that if you can talk and sleep and get yourself through the pain, then they're BH rather than labour, though!

Porqouis had a baby girl at home in a water. pool last night. Straightforward birth, both doing fine.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 18/11/2014 12:55

Squee!

Roonerspism · 18/11/2014 13:05

My BH are painful too, peace. I don't believe all that painless stuff either!

On days when my BH are bad, it's exactly like early labour and it's only if I lie down that they lessen and I realise it's not. They are always worst when I over do it, and am lifting too much and am shattered.

I'm still working and beginning to struggle. It's so busy here but there is absolutely no slack cut by boss (sod). I'll be full steam right up to when I finish next week at 38 weeks. Grrrrrrrrr.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 18/11/2014 13:26

Count down the days, Rooner. You can do it!

Cuppachaplz · 18/11/2014 16:24

Hi everyone, not posted on here in a while
Been on a bit of a rollercoaster the last few weeks.
Being monitored daily, and hoping to stave off pre term labour or early ELCS for a bit longer in order to get tests done if pos (and ideally results).
Loving reading the jingle baby news
Huge hugs and congrats to whats, Brian and porquoi, and good luck omama
Hoping not to queue jump just yet... :/
34+4

espa · 18/11/2014 16:26

I possibly overdid it a bit yesterday so maybe that's why but still been quite sore today. And not really on and off either, quite constant.

So jealous of all these babies arriving, I want mine!

MrsDutchie · 18/11/2014 16:29

Hello! I'm 35w today and like others here also really uncomfortable. I finish work next week. They've been amazing and let me work 4 days a week in Oct and 3 days a week in Nov.

Anybody else getting really bad abdominal pain when they need to ahem use the bathroom????

Lucy90 · 18/11/2014 16:31

Dutchie im 35+1 and been getting pains when i need to go! And then baby likes wriggling round while im on the loo!
Been having braxton hicks which dont seem too painful (yet!) but my stomach goes rock hard!
