Baby Brian was born today weighing 7lb1, we were due 26/11 but induced because of reduced movements. I'd been in a couple of times for monitoring and felt like a right pain going in again but it's a good thing I did.

Induction was very very fast 3cm to giving birth under an hour but it worked and were both healthy and had a normal delivery though the end got a bit touch and go due to baby changing position and his heart rate going crap.

He's lovely, but still thinking oh god what do I so now and he's my 5th!

MrsW27 · 16/11/2014 01:13

Chipandspuds · 16/11/2014 07:16

That's very fast! Congratulations Flowers Glad you're both doing well!

I'm feeling much better this morning, DS slept through the night and DH went and slept on the settee from 12:30am so I've had a lovely 7 hours sleep with only my achey hips to wake me up!

I think DH has been waking me up when I've been asleep because he's a light sleeper and I know I've been doing the pregnancy snoring thing! Shame he can't sleep on the settee for the next week Wink

AziziRose · 16/11/2014 07:18

Congratulations! Hope you're both doing well and get home soon :) xx

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 16/11/2014 07:38

Congratulations Brian.

Sorry I've haven't been on the last couple of weeks, have been so busy. DH's grandad passed away 2 weeks ago, so have been round his nans and sorting things out. Thankfully, things seem to have quietened down a bit now and can relax a bit

Brilliant news Brian! And a fabulous quick induction.
Congratulations, mum of 5!!
Sorry about the reduced movments, it's a worry. X

Lotsa, sorry for the loss of Dh's grandad. Hope everything is sorted now & the family are adjusting 'ok' with their new 'normal' (rubbish with words but hope not offensive)!

36+1 today & enjoying my (potential!) last 3rd dc free weekend at best mates house (never slept better on someone's sofa!), had a lovely childfree day yesterday & back home in a few hours.

espa · 16/11/2014 08:49

And Lotsa sorry for the loss of dh's grandad

Am currently in hospital being monitored for signs of preeclampsia. Sad. Baby may be coming sooner than expected.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 17/11/2014 06:45

Oh no ohmamma. Hope you are ok? keep us posted xx

omama · 17/11/2014 07:11

I'm doing ok thanks BHLS. Admitted with v high BP, protein in urine & swelling on face hands & feet. BP has steadily dropped back down to a more normal level through the night, just waiting on some other test results before they decide what to do with me. Hardly slept, feel like death this morn! Sad On the plus side, baby is still perfectly happy in there. Smile

espa · 17/11/2014 09:45

hi omama. hope baby arrives soon - pre-eclampsia is very unpleasant. x

Chipandspuds · 17/11/2014 10:00

Hope you're doing a bit better now omama it's not easy being in hospital. Do you have much longer until your due date?

I'm trying very hard to be in a good mood today. DH was huffing and puffing in bed last night until 11:30pm as he's got a cold and every time I dozed off to sleep I apparently woke him up with my snoring. DH then decided to put DS in our bed to share with me and he slept in DS's bed. DS then proceeded to breathe heavily and roll around and kick me for the rest of the night. The baby also decided it was party time at around 3:00am as well. I may not get more sleep when the baby is here, but at least I'll be able to sleep in different positions, so very much looking forward to that!!

I'm having a nightmare with Parcelforce at the moment, I've ordered a fold up cube bed online and Parcelforce have just been absolutely useless, I was meant to have it last week and I am waiting for a call back to see if it's even put on the van for delivery today. Looks like a day indoors waiting! Note to self - just go to Argos next time and save the trouble.

DS and I have been making some Christmas cards this morning, I'm just waiting for the paint to dry first before we get the glue and glitter out! Much as I love Mumsnet, I've got lots of ideas from Netmums arts & crafts section Smile

Ladylel · 17/11/2014 10:25

Congrats imbrian :) babies are starting to add up.

Omama I feel your pain, I had preeclampsia and high blood pressure. You name the symptoms I had them. Was admitted to hospital 4 weeks before shit hit the fan - blood pressure was unable to be controlled plus twin 2 hadn't grown (Infact lost weight) so a decision was made for me to have a c section and babies were here by the late afternoon on 24th Oct at 34w +3d.
They kept me going a long time before that decision was made tho so you may have some time. Fx it all cools down for you x

Lucy90 · 17/11/2014 11:08

Hope everythings alright omama

omama · 17/11/2014 13:55

Thanks all. Am 37+3 today. Its def preeclampsia, have started meds to lower my BP & just waiting for examination to see if cervix is favourable for them to try to induce me. Because of my previous section they'll only try one pessary though, if that fails they may leave me til Friday when am 38 weeks & try again, or it'll be another section. Doc has said they won't leave me any longer than that as it won't get better til I deliver. Bit gutted as had really hoped for a natural delivery this time, though I know it just has to be whatever is safest for me & baby & that is to get her out soon. Feeling bit fed up just want to go home & be with dh & ds. Sad

Hope you are all doing ok too.

Ladylel - I didnt realise it was preeclampsia that led to your early delivery. How aee the twins doing now? And you?
