I would agree re cramps.... If anything starts to feel regularly sore I would definitely phone...

peace your neighbours sound hellish! I take it asking them nicely has fallen on deaf ears? :(?

Loving the poo chat! Can I add that for me, the first poo post delivery was nearly as traumatic as birth! :)

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 28/10/2014 07:32

Hi all. Peace, well done on your neighbours. They were taking the piss. Are they doing it up to rent out or live in? The house next to me is being done up and is on the rental market for a load more than it should be. owner is a douche who keeps trying to get me to do unnecessary things like replace non broken fence panels because they dont match the new one in colour (they fade) anf his latest is to grumble about the state of my front garden. Told him that its not been a priority this year with a difficult pregnancy, working full time, dp doing two jobs and kids at the weekend. My priority is the inside of my house not the bloody garden. if he wants to do it hes welcome. Angry Angry

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 28/10/2014 07:33

Rooner, Ive put some lactulose in my hospital bag for this very reason....

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 28/10/2014 07:43

I don't know actually. I'm presuming they're doing it to move in because they seem in a rush to get it done by Christmas.
I cried last night because I feel like we're trapped here now; moving will be a nightmare with a tiny baby, and we've not even been here six months yet. It's a lovely house and we were really happy here before all this started. I just hope they stfu if/when they live there. Perhaps furniture would muffle their sounds a bit.

I woke up in the night thinking I'd wet myself Confused then I thought, oh god, that's what waters breaking feels like Confused luckily it was neither but ugh. So uncomfortable.

I am child free this morning (due to drs appointment later on) but thought I'd get some studying done in peace and quiet. I have an assignment due in early December, so I really need to have it finished before the baby comes, but I just can't be bothered at the moment. Starting off an essay is always hardest and I can see it's just not going to happen today.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 28/10/2014 13:38

I saw the nice midwife today, yay! She's very pleased with me and baby Grin going to discuss birth plan next time, eek!

OP posts:
BigHairyLeggedSpider · 28/10/2014 15:32

Thats great news Peace. These birth plan things are scary. I keep meaning to write mine but everytime I sit down to do it, I panic!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 28/10/2014 15:43

Have you discussed yours yet BHLS?
Just peeled off the cotton wool from where she took blood and there's an inch-long blood blister Hmm thanks for that!

My friend described the post birth first poo as like shitting a hedgehog. That's fairly accurate ime.

CatFaceCrayola · 28/10/2014 21:06

"Like shitting a hedgehog" quote of the day :)

Been to first antenatal class. It was a bit odd and awkward. And very very full...people there due in bloody February! Seems a bit daft to me. DH was a proper know it all too!

Midwife tomorrow

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 28/10/2014 21:12

Haha my DH was a swot at our first antenatal too! We'll be ostracised now.

OP posts:
BigHairyLeggedSpider · 28/10/2014 21:38

Not yet. As I am being induced I am limited to what I can do. I don't want pethidine and i want to try and avoid an epidural. I also dont want to be left too long if the baby is in distress bwfore a c section.

Shitting a hedgehog. Grin The joy never ends.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 28/10/2014 21:40

Mine was interestinly clueless considering he's got two kids! However he said that ten years ago classes were not offered at the hospital they were with plus a lot of.stuff has changed since then

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 28/10/2014 21:41

Yeah I have a couple of things I would like but am resigned to not having, a couple of things I want but will do without in an emergency, and a couple of things I don't want whatsoever, unless I'm at death's door. But I don't know how much actual choice I will be given.

CatFaceCrayola · 28/10/2014 23:27

Will the midwife actually go through birth plan with me or am I responsible for printing it off and sorting it myself?

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 28/10/2014 23:52

Mine said we'd go through it at my 34 week appointment but said I should think about it myself beforehand. There's a page all about it in the notes but don't remember the page number!

CatFaceCrayola · 29/10/2014 00:25

I'll enquire tomorrow.

Also....I think mumsnet has been sabotaged. Sometimes when I touch thread to scroll I get taken to some porn site

Chipandspuds · 29/10/2014 06:18

I did my birth plan with my midwife at yesterday's 36 week appointment. It's nice to have it written down and I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

DS was born in 5.5 hours, so my midwife told me as soon as I feel things starting to contact the midwife led unit and tell them I'm on the way and to start running the birthing pool! I really hope this baby is quicker as I've got so many expectations of this being a speedy birth now!

I've put all the baby's things together for the hospital bag, I'm going to go to the supermarket today during my lunch hour and buy some miniature toiletries for myself and then get my things together for the hospital bag.

Just 2 days left at work now! I'm excited and a bit nervous about it. Definitely need the rest though!

CallingAllEngels · 29/10/2014 06:19

Shock catface !

Morning all! Counting down now. 4 weeks and 1 day till ML starts...still so much to do at school to handover.

Nursery pretty much done though which has made me calmer.

The clock change is really knackering me out in the evenings though. It's all I can do not to go to bed at quarter past 7!

31+3

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 29/10/2014 07:51

Got my 36 week appointment today.

I also hope for a speedy-ish time of it chips. From feeling the first twinge to ds being born was 11 hours, from 5am in the morning to birth just before 4pm. I didn't need to wake dh up until 8am as I was fine on my own until then and only felt it the pain was "too much" at midday when I insisted we go to the hospital.

Planning a home birth this time and hoping to shave a bit of time of the length of labour too! Wink

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 29/10/2014 08:44

Catface it's a Thing that's been going on for a few days. The app doesn't seem to be affected, just mobile and desktop browsing. There's a few threads about it in Site Stuff. It's not your device so don't worry.

OP posts:
CatFaceCrayola · 29/10/2014 11:00

No more porn sites today :)

Had 34 week mw app this morning. Another midwife I've not seen before. She irritated me by making assumptions about where/how I would be giving birth.

asked her about Birth Plans and her answer was "do it yourself and stick it in your notes" :/

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 29/10/2014 14:48

Oh that's very fucking helpful Catface :( did she offer any sort of guidance at all?

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 29/10/2014 17:45

Very nice lady at the council phoned me this morning to explain about the noise complaint. They're going to write to the neighbours to warn them to STFU and send me some diary sheets to document any further noise. Hopefully this puts the wind up them sufficiently. I am really nervous about repercussions, though. Wish I'd never watched any of those "Neighbours From Hell" type programmes now!!

So much pain. Had a lovely day off today and my sister took me out for lunch. NCT tonight but I really hope it's a sitting down/non physical activity type session! I'm starting to lose my mind over it tbh. Heat and codeine had no effect last night :(

How's everyone else?

And how are the new babies? Any updates on FB?
