Scan was amazing. Baby is head down and she gave us a little wave. It was incredibly detailed. She's measuring just above average and predicted to be 7 pounds 9 at 40 weeks. Hope she's not much bigger! It was at the place where they're researching fetal wellbeing and the benefit of extra scans so didn't feel like I was lining private doctors' pockets! They really should offer it on the NHS though.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 17/10/2014 20:33

Oh Hug I'm jealous! Was it a 3D or an ordinary scan?

My GP prescribed me antibiotics as I have had a cough for four weeks so hoping to feel better in time to start leave next Friday. I worked til 38 weeks last time but weeks 31-37 were the summer holidays (teacher) so it was cheating really! Very glad I am going earlier this time as I can spend some time with DD before vanishing into a sleep deprived fog when baby arrives Smile

It was just an ordinary scan but the picture was a lot clearer than at my local hospital. Apparently she's got lots of hair. Couldn't believe they could see that!
Finishing work at 36 weeks (and 1 day) so only 13 days left and only 8 of them in the office. Can't wait to finish and start nesting!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 17/10/2014 21:48

Excellent news Whats, glad he's stayed put for so long. I remember you just trying to get to twenty-something weeks!
I'm fine, just measuring a few weeks ahead and am shattered!

Jealous of those getting late scans, I'd love to see baby again.

One of my cats is V affectionate and loves to stand up with his paws on my bump to miaow at me. Except tonight he did it from scratching post and got his paws on my right boon, and his mega sharp claws have scratched my nipple through my pj top - owwww!

espa · 17/10/2014 22:52

Boob not boon!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 18/10/2014 08:08

More dry heaving this morning. It's definitely related to tiredness.

I couldn't sleep until 1am last night and was reading our first ever December thread from March. So sweet reading about everyone's BFPs again!

I was thinking about that this morning Peace, how far we've all come. I can honestly say that this group has been an absolute godsend. The support and reassurance I've had off here has been better than any I could have had from anywhere else. Grin

SassehMonsta · 18/10/2014 09:15

I love the group - but I'm hating MN and feeling awful that I don't get on as much. mobile site kills my phone and laptop is always being stolen by DH!

Feeling grotty yesterday and today. Think I caught a bug/cold off my dad at the beginning of the week. Couldn't sleep very well either last 2 nights, so irritable Sarah this week....!

32wk scan on Thurs while at diabetes clinic - last one at 28 weeks had baby measuring spot on at 2lb 9oz. I've been bad and forgotten to take blood sugars a couple of times this week, but just so tired I am asleep before its been an hour after food!

32 weeks exactly today. Eeeeek!

CallingAllEngels · 18/10/2014 11:35

peace I still take a sneaky look back at my an threads from when I was pg with ds as well! I want to make sure I copy all my posts as a record for myself...but who knows when I'll get round to that!

I don't have a rl an group since I'm abroad and with ds as well ax work I just don't have the time right now, but maybe I should try a few dutch language forums for some rl support. I always miss out on meet ups over here and was gutted not to head to bumpfest.

mn is enough for me right now..though not getting on as frequentlynow the fb group is up and running.

okay, need to tidy my house for ds's birthday shindig tomorrow while dh fixes a leak in our roof!

29+6

The MN app is dreadful and is even worse on iOS8, but I don't like the website either.

30 weeks today btw! Proper milestone that Smile

OP posts:
Peaceloveandbiscuits · 18/10/2014 12:37

I was going to take a bump pic earlier to mark 30 weeks, but it wasn't big enough. Now I've eaten enough sushi that it looks like I'm having twins Grin

Preparing for my mum to come for the weekend, going to show her round london then got a 4D bonding scan tomorrow eeeek!!
30+5 Grin

LotsaTuddles · 18/10/2014 13:32

I felt like that yesterday peace Grin

I forgot to take a bump pic, but we did get our picture taken at the dinner that we were at yesterday and bump is in it, so that'll have to do haha

CatFaceCrayola · 18/10/2014 13:38

30 weeks felt like a great milestone. Bump pics ahoy!

This group has been an absolute life saver over the past months. The FB group is much easier to use than MN though unfortunately.

Had yet another meltdown at DH about being fed up and in pain and not able to do anything. 7 weeks is really nothing in comparison to the 33 weeks I've already done. But 7 weeks of suffering feels like a very long time indeed! Really hoping Bubble turns up just a little bit early...if I end up overdue I think I will actually lose my mind!

Well that was my penultimate Saturday at work! Have to say, I will miss my lovely student volunteers; I wish I'd been as switched on and enthusiastic as they are when I was 14/15!
Going out to a friend's house for pizza tonight, then doing absolutely FUCK ALL tomorrow. Can't wait!

Suddenly I've got this very heavy, dragging sensation really low down, as if everything will fall out if I don't sit down. Help! What is this?

OP posts:
BigHairyLeggedSpider · 19/10/2014 14:13

baby shoving it's head right in your cervix maybe? You in any pain?

kusmile · 19/10/2014 14:20

I haven't looked at this thread for 3 days and it's about 3 pages longer... it's hard to keep up. All the best to the first baby!

So this documentary about stillbirth... I can't bring myself to watch it because I'm terrified of it happening. I haven't even mentioned being pregnant on Facebook so most people don't even know. So for those who've seen the documentary - are there any things I should know/be doing apart from counting movements?

Woke up this morning after a bad nights sleep thanks to my neighbours' impromptu party and my legs and hips were really aching. I'm not sure if it's a result of the whooping cough jab or just a pregnancy thing. All in all things are good though as I had a 32 week scan on Friday because the placenta was low, but now it's moved up, hooray. And the baby is a normal size, which is a relief after the midwife said my bump was a little small Smile

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 19/10/2014 14:20

No pain thankfully! Anyone else had this so early? I suddenly feel like I need to think very seriously about impending birth!

BHLS how long until you're induced?
