Just Shagging Grads thread No.13 for upduffed viroids!

Nessalina · 06/10/2014 07:46

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 13th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed! Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 29th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy! Grin

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

Confused I thought I was reading the wrong thread with all the gaming talk, tetris is as good as I get!

Good advice on the mattress protection, hadn't thought of how to change sheets quick in the night.

Today I bought a Ewan the sheep, off to bed soon to test it on myself & see if it really does have magical sleeping powers!

laurenamium · 11/10/2014 20:04

Oh let me know about those sheep furry I had never heard of them before this thread!

DP is being lovely tonight, made me a gorgeous tea and just being generally nice...I could get used to this! Smile

splodge77 · 11/10/2014 20:10

Hi all, ugh I thought the sickies were slowly subsiding but I feel really awful again today. Wah, I'm so fed up. Someone gimme some hope that it'll pass soon? I'm 11 weeks.

wilmabedrock · 11/10/2014 20:15

It will Splodge, you've nearly made it to end of first trimester. Try some ginger biscuits? Thanks

littleluna89 · 11/10/2014 22:04

zyla you say that, I popped on for a free week a few months back and... I didn't resub... I could almost not remember what I loved so much about it, and I had been so so so addicted to it before. It made me quite sad. Though perhaps it was a sign I needed a new guild, an new server and a new set of raf bonus... Perhaps I'll look again next summer when my sister's back on.

I forgot how screwed and excessive hormones are during pregnancy! I cried at lunch because the cafeteria only had cheese and tomato toasties and I wanted cheese and ham. and I almost bludgeoned the new(ish) woman on my department to death with a glitter glue pot at the end of the day because she wound me up by being slow and incredibly whiny and incapable at clearing up glitter glue at even a tenth of the pace I was managing I'm still so cross (almost two hours later) that I want to drink wine just to calm down :S

on mattress protectors Alex has had a few accidents (mostly due to cloth or removing her dispo >.>) and we discovered the hard way that the protectors have a side that works and a side that doesn't, we had to dry her mattress out during the day :(

JuniDD · 11/10/2014 22:15

Were you at work luna, what do you do?!

LOADS of Toni Braxtons here tonight, freaking MrJ right out. Of course, I just remembered to "breathe again" and got through them. Can't see how I'll manage if I get to do the real thing without an epidural though!

laurenamium · 11/10/2014 22:18

Luna Grin at the glitter glue rage!

Splodge I've just hit 12 weeks and my sickness has really died down. In fact I haven't been sick at all today now I think about it! It seems to have coincided in the over night small bump that's appeared and is making my trousers look like I have a muffin top Hmm

TheBooMonster · 11/10/2014 22:20

Yes juni I was. Luckily she walked away from the whole situation before I had a chance to get out of control but I suspect she had no idea how much she'd pissed me off. It was pretty much the tip of the iceberg because I'd found her to be frustrating most of the day :/

Also I've had to change my username, it was brought to my attention that using the same handle I use on the rest of the universe was perhaps unwise I am littleluna89 no more!

KatoPotato · 11/10/2014 22:39

I'm not being sick, just 5pm hits and I'm exhausted and feel so queasy and rotten bit like a hangover?. Officially 9 weeks today (tiny yay!)

teejayem · 11/10/2014 23:30

Ah, thank you min & wilma the letter I got has a fact sheet which talks about pre screening...... it says...between 6&10 weeks I will receive an apt for booking (guessing that's my one of the 4th, so right on the money there) and then routine blood and urine tests. It then goes on to say 'ultrasound scan to date pregnacy at 11+4 -13+6 weeks combined with nuchal translucency if requested.

Looks like I am right in the end of the scale. The midwife rang me today funnily enough while Mr Tee and I were battling saturday shoppers, so I might just ask her when I ring her back Monday. I'm not being precious, I'd just prefer to not have to worry those additional 2 weeks. I'm only 6 weeks right now.... i had in my head another 6 weeks, and mentally it seems more manageable, than 8, which I know sounds bonkers. Do you think they might push it forward if I raise it? This is all such new territory..

I picked up two massive bras today and they are absolute BLISS. For anyome that was dipping into the JSing thread and remembers me wailing just before my BFP, my boobs literally felt like they were exploding.....well.... They still do, I've gained a cup size and had to go up in the chest as well .. Mr tee is very happy..
I also had a poke about in john Lewis pram dept but we are not getting carried away with that kind of thing yet, no siree

wilmabedrock · 11/10/2014 23:44

No harm in asking Tee. I suspect it just depends how busy they are. Our appointments seem fairly well organised up here and you can usually get in quite quickly.

It's v bad that I'm still awake, will regret in the morning.

gaggiagirl · 11/10/2014 23:45

Exploding boobs here too tee mine look positively vulgar!

kato yaaaaaay to being 9 weeks! Thats flown by. I bet it hasn't for you though. I just want the first trimester over with.

Nessalina · 11/10/2014 23:54

Definitely ask Tee, they're not very joined up when it comes to scan appointments, if you draw their attention to the fact that it puts you outside the dates for NF test, they'll just bring it forward Smile

We need to make an appointment to see the consultant about the breech situation. I'm hoping they won't try and pressure us about the ECV thing - the very thought makes me queasy. Baby's been squirming like mad the last couple of days so really really hoping that he's already made the big switch!

That sounds a bit scary Juni - how do you know that it's the Toni Braxtons and not the real deal?! Shock

Go informed Ness and stick to your guns. Good luck.

Aargh another night of 2 1/2 hours sleep. I don't things were this bad even with a newborn.

laurenamium · 12/10/2014 07:33

Oh no wil how come the sleepless night? Miniwil poorly? Sad

wilmabedrock · 12/10/2014 07:49

Combination of being pg, MrWil going to airport at stupid o'clock and MiniWil's cough. Sooo tired.

JuniDD · 12/10/2014 09:09

Morning, pretty crap night's sleep here too although I feel a lot more cheerful than I did yesterday.

I don't find that Toni Braxtons actually hurt that much, tbh. I did get some proper periody type pains when I went to bed. Lots of odd sensations last night, as if I could feel the baby's head going down and boing...ouchy! Read some really positive posterior birth stories last night so feeling a bit less despondent!

ness just remember it's your body and no one can force you do anything. This list of assertive phrases around pregnancy/labour may be handy?

wil, hope you can do parenting from the sofa today, hope you're not feeling too rubbish

RPopz · 12/10/2014 09:27

Thanks for the mattress knowledge ladies! Will Def check out that website Horace ta.

I didn't sleep so well either. Did some more painting in the nursery yesterday and now can barely move! Oops. Mr P is going to build the furniture today Grin

Tee - you can have the NT test right up until 14+1. (I work out the downs risks as part of my job). I can understand you'd want your scan earlier rather than later though so definitely worth giving them a ring.

Went out with the MIL last night for first time since all her weirdness. She's turned into turbo grandparent suddenly... Even weirder. Also keeps demanding to know what she can buy us, which is oddly stressful. We have most things already. She doesn't want to just give us money for the stuff we've already bought. But I don't want to fill the house with non essential bumf and just for the sake of her buying something... House is tiny and trying to keep STUFF to a minimum Confused We have same thing last weekend with my Mum who wants everything brand new... and FIL and his wife who are treating our preg like an opportunity for a house clearance... Confused

(Sorry, sound like a privileged arse Hmm )

Hopefully your efforts haven't gone to waste Ness and he's shuffling as we speak. Def be firm with consultant. Easier said than done I know.

Thoroughly recommend M&S maternity bras - whoever mentioned bras! Best Purchase Ever. Grin

wilmabedrock · 12/10/2014 09:40

Can you set up a bank account for baby and tell them you don't need anything just now but you'll use it when you do? Or offer to let them pay for something like hand print keepsake, professional photos or baby classes?

wilmabedrock · 12/10/2014 09:44

Or some nice artwork for nursery?

RPopz · 12/10/2014 09:52

I did make the savings account suggestion last night Wil and was roundly ignored.... Hmm

I've got mega cramps! Toni Braxtons or too much curry?? Confused

Nessalina · 12/10/2014 10:25

I think I may have actually had some TBs last night! Shock Didn't hurt, but bump was v.hard for quite a while and when I consulted Dr Goofle he said that's what it might be!

I really think baby might have moved to transverse Hmm Although that's at least 90 degrees in the right direction! I can feel poking in the zone of my right hip, and bump feels firm all across the middle....

Baby swimming lessons is a good one Popz! They're not cheap, so ask the inlaws to pay for a course. Alternatively just ask them for something you already have and return the one you bought? Grin

wilmabedrock · 12/10/2014 10:48

I love that they're called the Toni Braxtons. Yeah that'll be them Ness. I felt they were like tightenings and not painful like real contractions, although uncomfortable, if that makes sense. Oh it must be uncomfy having a transverse baby at your stage Ness. Fx he makes it the rest of the way round soon. You're obviously doing something right to make him turn.

teejayem · 12/10/2014 12:52

ah, thankspopz - I'm going to call tomorrow and see if they'd consider moving...
Speaking of inlaws, we are telling Mr Tees mum today. eeeeek. She is an... Interesting.... Lady.
I got Marks and Sparks booby hammocks and I love them.

RPopz · 12/10/2014 12:59

Haha. Hope it goes well Tee! My MIL was less than enthusiastic when we told her... She's suddenly turned into turbo grandparent though Hmm.
