Just Shagging Grads thread No.13 for upduffed viroids!

Nessalina · 06/10/2014 07:46

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 13th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed! Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 29th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy! Grin

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

Ok,so with regards to WoW I had to stop cos I can't play sensibly! It was full on or nothing, was in a world top 25 raiding guild Grin but stopped a couple of years ago as I had absolutely no life except raiding!

ZylaB · 11/10/2014 14:58

Found a lovely sticker set we're going to use for the nursery wall! Saving the mural idea until she's a little older, the stickers are woodland, tree and animals etc, is lovely :)

RPopz · 11/10/2014 15:04

Pics Zyla? Smile

Alright shaggers... COT MATTRESSES.... What should/ shouldn't I be getting?

ZylaB · 11/10/2014 15:13

linky to nursery wall thingy

This one, in the colours shown :). We love it and are having oak colour furniture so it should look nice!

RPopz · 11/10/2014 15:26

OMG I love that!! Etsy is amazing.

JuniDD · 11/10/2014 15:27

Oh, we're back, yay!

I have no idea about cot mattresses. They have a X-Section selection thing in my Mothercare which looks quite exciting.

I have actually started clearing up my bedroom...so better pop off again to complete. Going to try the bednest next to the bed, fingers crossed it fits or we'll be in trouble!

wilmabedrock · 11/10/2014 15:29

Cute Zyla.

God I can't remember about mattresses Popz. I think I got some hypoallergenic one with a removable cover for easy washing. Remember being advised to have a spare cover. This time round we bought a cot and mattress off a friend. I'm swithering whether to get a new one as am aware of advice about using a new one. But it's perfect condition and I know it's not been around smoke or pets and was only used for 3 or 4 months.

For crib mattress I got some natural fibre one where dust mites can't live.

JuniDD · 11/10/2014 15:33

Oh, I have a question. Is it likely the baby will wet through to the cot mattress? Should you use a protector or put a towel under the sheet?

zyla that wall thingy is lovely!

gaggiagirl · 11/10/2014 15:34

Afternoon viroids!
Glad were back.

Nessalina · 11/10/2014 17:01

Hello! Smile

Love the sticker thing Zyla! We've gone for something similar, I think they're fab!

Re: cot mattresses, the lady in John Lewis told me that if you have a cot bed it's worth splashing out on a sprung mattress that will last the life of the bed, rather than a foam one that will likely need replacing after a couple of years. Seemed sensible to me!

NCT sale was good, way more organised than I expected! I thought it'd be individual stalls, but they had everything categorised which was very useful. Found an adorable snowsuit in 0-3, only £3 Grin And a few other jumpers & cardis.

That's another Warcrafter! Shock Either there's way more women playing Warcraft than I think there is, or there's a trend for Warcrafters to also be of the Just Shagging persuasion! Grin

Ok, so..with the colours on the stickers, the other 3 walls, very pale yellow, very pale purple, or very pale orange? Going to get some tester pots but need advice/opinions please :)

ness out of the 25 core raiders in the guild I think 4 were females!

teejayem · 11/10/2014 17:19

Ahh! We're back!
zyla you're hardcore with the WoW!!

I got my booking in appt letter (nov 6th) and ultrasound (nov 24th!?) through today.
Is that kind of late or is it just the done thing? I will be 11ish and then 14ish weeks by then if my calculations are correct Confused
God this month is going to drag!

ZylaB · 11/10/2014 17:28

tee that's why I stopped just after start of mists, it was all or nothing, I've wanted to 'pop' on and have a little potter, but I honestly think I'd be sucked back in to every evening and all weekend, so I wont :)

laurenamium · 11/10/2014 18:04

Zyla that nursery etsy sticker is gorgeous!

Juni with DD when she was in a crib/ cot I layered up on her sheets in vase of accidents in the night/ sick. So I could just take the top sheet off and she would have another one underneath ready to save having to wake/ put lights on etc and make her bed up. I put a towel/ muslin in between each sheet too. I did about 3 layers. She's out of nappies now so she has a mattress protector and just 2 layers in case Smile comes in handy especially if you're on your own on a night or don't want to wake DP. It's one thing less to sort when you have a poonami or sicky child!

Me and DP actually went out last night Smile it was lovely and I stayed up past 12 and everything! Grin Tired now though Hmm

laurenamium · 11/10/2014 18:05

Am I the only one who's gaming experience consists of the sims original and super Mario?? Grin

wilmabedrock · 11/10/2014 18:06

Tee do they not do nuchal fold and combined blood tests in your area? If they do, you may want an earlier scan - not sure of the cut off dates for those. I know some areas aren't doing them at the moment though.

Re mattresses, yes we have a sprung one for cotbed. Just right for jumping on Envy . Juni it's not so much pee as sick although that may be helped by fact we use sleeping bags. We don't have anything underneath but great to have the removable washable cover. I guess it would be possible to have a nappy disaster that got through to the mattress but we haven't had one. We used to put a muslin under the sheet in the crib for sick incidents.

HungryHorace · 11/10/2014 18:08

For cot mattresses, try: www.babymattressesonline.co.uk (and get 10% off with code BABYSAVER).

They're really reasonable for mattresses and really quick too.

We got sprung, Coolmax, ones for the kids' cot beds.

wilmabedrock · 11/10/2014 18:11

No Lauren, mine too! Mario and Streetfighter! We went out last night too, a very rare occasion for us!

wilmabedrock · 11/10/2014 18:15

Apologies for overuse of exclamation marks. I think we may have a similar one to that Horace. Maybe got ours there too.

Zyla, I would maybe go for orange, although I'm not very good at all that stuff.

laurenamium · 11/10/2014 18:16

Did you go anywhere nice wil? Smile Street fighter! Ha I always played with my older brother so I was always made to be at the bottom on the split screen, or tails in sonic!

JuniDD · 11/10/2014 18:20

Thanks for the cot/sheet advice. As I'm currently sleeping on a mattress protector I wondered if the same applied for the baby!

My gaming experience is limited to Tetris on the original gameboy! Though MrJ plays things like Portal and Skyrim.

He's back in my good books as he's gone out and got an occasional table for me to eat my dinner off and useful storage things.

ZylaB · 11/10/2014 18:23

Off out for pizza with a mate and then Dracula film with Orlando bloom in it :)

wilmabedrock · 11/10/2014 18:28

Just to the cinema Lauren. My sister wasn't really into games so I got first choice. I'm quite glad MrWil isn't, we spend too much time sitting on our arses as it is.

Enjoy Dracula, give us a review afterwards.

gaggiagirl · 11/10/2014 18:43

I sent mr G out for a chocolate trifle. He returned with banana ice cream!
Might kill him.

minimooo · 11/10/2014 18:53

Ah kato me too - I loved Oblivion! I'm playing Skyrim at the moment. Not ever tried WOW but am now intrigued...might go and check it out.

Those stickers are beautiful Zyla. I'd vote for orange on walls. But then again, I'm not known for my interior design skills!

tee I've just checked the NHS screening timeline I was given by the midwives and it says that the nuchal fold scan thingy can be done 11wks to 14wks but I'd be inclined to call them and check just to make sure. 14wks does sound a bit on the late side. The booking appt sounds about right though - I had mine last week at 11wks.

Oh no gaggia! That is so annoying when it's all you want to eat. I asked dh to get me a Galaxy bar the other day and he bought me a Mars bar instead Hmm He said he just got confused in the shop and could only remember that it was space themed! I couldn't be angry because I was laughing so much Grin
