Any June mums to be yet?

I've seen the group for May or June, but are there any other definite Junes yet?
Been getting faint positive lines for a few days but today have got a definite line, giving me a due date of around 6th June :)

Trying to stay cautiously optimistic at the moment as we had an MMC in May at 8 weeks.

So, who else is out there? :)

Morning ladies. Been up since 5 with DS who had a bad dream about 'a naughty rabbit'. DH is taking him to MILs today so going to catch up on sleep then!

Hope everyone feels OK and glad that it's the weekend. Happy Saturday everyone Smile

5 weeks today, and less than 2 weeks to go until my midwife appointment. Don't think that will be my booking in though. When I was pregnant last time I saw her at about 6 weeks just to get 'in the system' then I had an appointment in the post for my booking in (which turned out to be the day after I found out about my MMC Hmm)

But... Positive thoughts all round this time! Today I am pregnant :)

Hey all,

Welcome to all the newbies and congrats. Smile

To those that are worrying about things going wrong Sad you poor things. I worry but I have tried my hardest to put it out of my mind. This ttc thing is all about waiting! Waiting for the fertile window, the tww, waiting for a BFP and then the massively long wait until a scan. Hence me getting a private scan at 8 weeks.

I will not wait until 12! Confused

I had the day at ascot yesterday and it was actually very nice. Quite fancy so not very me but got picked up at 9am and didn't get back until 9pm so a long day but we were in a box so I had a chair all day and lots of food, although seafood, pate, soft cheeses etc were all there!!! Hmm

I'm 5+3 today. Exhaustion is a little better now thank god.

How's everyone else feeling?

Morning all, nice to see more ladies hopping onto this thread.

Thanks for the stats kyz, i live a gud spreadsheet! My dc's are ds 4 and dd 2... I have a scan on 14th oct.

Forty ... You do not need to contact the hospital, when you have your midwife booking in at go (at approx 8 weeks) they will ask you which hospital you want to book into (if you have more than 1 in the area)... Ask around amongst your friends to see where they went or have a think about the type of birth you would like in an ideal world as for example if you are wanting midwife lead then book in where the birth centre is based. The other think is until you start having hospital appointments you will not know if you are deemed as high or low risk as many factors will decide the best place you can have the baby including weight, medical history, and of cause any possible issues with baby (position/placenta/info seen on scans)

The main thing for you to do now is enjoy these first few weeks (even with the sore boobs and sickness) and ring gp for midwife referral.

I'm at my sisters hen do today so must get my overnight bag packed as we are staying out at the hotel after the dirty dancing themed night!... Spa today from 12 Wink

Thank you jazzy. There's only one midwifery unit in the area which is the big local hospital, but at least I don't have to worry about ringing them now. I'll just see my slightly useless GP and hope he sorts me out. Bless him.
Well I think I'm 4+3 today, tired, a bit crampy still and sore boobs but don't feel nauseous yet so that's good. My mum had hyperemesis with both me and my sister, so I'm really hoping I don't get it too Sad

Hey sunbathing Wink

Congratulations on being an auntie!

I haven't had much sickness at all - but dizziness, exhaustion, sore boobs, weird dreams, extreme thirst, peeing constantly and twinges Grin

I love it. Bring on the symptoms.

For what it's worth I don't think the nausea is really meant to kick in until about 6-8 weeks. That was true with my DS and I had awful nausea but it didn't start until at least 6+ weeks.

Smile

Congratulations, sunbathing. That's the attitude! I'm trying to do the same.

I'm. 5+3 and time seems to be going so slowly.

I had symptoms between ovulation and my BFP which gave it away (same as with DD).
Now, I have (possibly tmi!) darker nipples, which I also had with DD, and insomnia. If I wake up during the night, then that's it - I find it really hard to get back to sleep. I was up for three hours the night before last, but only half hour last night, thank goodness. I still wake up with a really dry mouth - for me that starts straight after conception.

Agree it's going super slow. Once the scans and the worrying bit is out of the way though it will speed up!

I liked the Ovia app - nice mix of info for you and details about the beans growth.

I'm not quite ready to put it back on my phone - but I am feeling much more positive (and slightly sicky but that could totally be in my head Confused. Might reinstall the app on Wed when I get to 6 weeks as then you're out of the riskiest period (according to my GP).

Late night go ogling? Wink Sunbathing.

Dyac - googling!

I bought a fab book when we started ttc called "Expecting better" by Emily Oster

The author is an economist who was fed up about all the nanny state style "just say no to everything m'kay" advice for pregnancy. She's looked at the quantity and quality of the evidence available for key things like alcohol, food, scans etc and crunched the data to help people make their own informed decisions. It's very readable and genuinely helpful.

A table from it that I keep looking at is about how the rates of miscarriage drop week by week. (Remember the 6th week will be days 5.1 to 6.0). Just really want time to pass and beanie to keep on holding on.

Sorry for sideways table! Ladies who use the app only would need to go via the Internet site to see it.

Hi everyone I've just found out I'm pregnant #1, absolutely shocked as although ttc I thought it wouldn't happen this month (read the signs wrong).

Only randomly poas Thursday and found out but tbh the very very weird feelings in my uterus since would have given the bfp away! Sorry if tmi but it feels like a tingly waterfall in there. I know friends who have had no signs whatsoever so bizarre I've got the full works. Plus had a horrible migraine on Wednesday, in retrospect must have been a symptom!

Currently trying to respect dh's feelings not to say anything yet as super early but I'm seeing some friends tonight who know we're trying (plus one has only just discovered she's pregnant with her #3 herself!) So it will be a good test of my mettle not to splurge!

Sorry about the long rant. I'm totally excited :)

Oh yeah, Ovia says due date 12th June!

Many congrats peppermint. Good luck with tonight. Have you worked out when you will tell people? I've found having a small crew of IRL support people really helpful, and it's often a balancing act between you and your DH of who is comfortable to tell who when!

Loving the phrase "tingly waterfall" as I totally have one of those going on at the moment! Wink www.m.webmd.com/baby/guide/first-trimester-of-pregnancy reassured me that if the cm is thin and milky white in colour it's totally normal and called leukorrhea!

Ha ha that is a relief Phryn I'm glad I'm not the only one and thanks for the linkage!

I agree RL support would be really helpful and I really don't want to lie tonight if I'm asked straight out (not besides the fact I'm a terrible liar!). May divert tonight and hopefully reach an agreement with dh tomorrow. Or my big beaming face may give me away!

I hadn't put 2 and 2 together before but honestly I've not slept properly since about 4dpo. This morning I woke totally shattered. After being fully awake between 2-5. Took little ds to ballet lesson where there was one gorgeous newborn and 2 nicely pregnant bumps. They looked glowing, I looked like shit. Ive been very shouty today. My tummy is doing funny gurgles and I look quite bloated. I think I might be constipated Sad as I've cut out my morning Costa.

I'm only 4 weeks today. Can't believe the test came up so early. I've felt quite at odds with myself today. Just need to cross my legs for couple of weeks and get past the danger zone.
