Any June mums to be yet?

I've seen the group for May or June, but are there any other definite Junes yet?
Been getting faint positive lines for a few days but today have got a definite line, giving me a due date of around 6th June :)

Trying to stay cautiously optimistic at the moment as we had an MMC in May at 8 weeks.

So, who else is out there? :)

must be a relief perpetual! I spent the first couple days of this week off work in bed thinking I'm going to die - couldn't really eat anything at all except water, dropped weight off, then went to the GP and got some pills -they are magic dust. Within minutes I felt like a normal human and could contemplate food. I am on cyclazine and I can't really imagine how I would have gotten through without them - was dreading a long weekend in portugal where I just wanted to lie in bed and throw up, also have friends visiting next week and now I'm looking forward to it all! The only downside (maybe) is I told my boss why I was off work, because I was so 'I'm going to die' nothing else seemed to matter. Hopefully that's fine, seeing him tomorrow and will ask him not to tell anyone.

I'm still so bloated and look preggo already!

TheDetective · 16/10/2014 22:53

I've gone through and added everyone who PM'd me to facebook! If I've missed anyone please send me a message!

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 17/10/2014 06:23

Wonderful perpetual!

Phryn · 17/10/2014 06:41

Bleughhh brushing teeth is a vile and risky thing to do at the moment!

MrsExtraOrdinary · 17/10/2014 07:40

Phryn I thought that yesterday. I'm sure it had me feeling sick all day.

Phryn · 17/10/2014 07:46

Was an error to follow that up with no breakfast then running for the train. Sad Had a dodgy few minutes but am now sat on train eating crackers and drinking water.

Hope you have a better day MS wise MrsE

I'm worrying about how much weight to put on.
Last time I put on far too much because I over ate and stopped exercising. I don't intend to do that this time and have been gradually losing weight for the last year (2 stone in total). Is it ok if I stick to the healthy diet I've been on, do you think? It doesn't restrict any food groups and involves lots of good nutritious food to the value of about 1500-1800kcal/day (that's a guess). I've been losing weight on that so should I increase to avoid losing any more? I'm at the top end of my healthy bmi range so would be fine with losing a couple of pounds but obviously baby is number one priority.

Morning all

I’ve been feeling sick this morning, nothing too bad but definitely there. Sorry to everyone else who is feeling rough! I remember last time that brushing my teeth set me off, as did smelling my DH’s deodorant after he’d sprayed.

I was supposed to go out with a couple of friends last night but I made an excuse last minute.

I feel crap about it but as I live in London nobody drives so there is no ‘no drinking’ excuse! We always have wine when we are out so there is no way they wouldn’t have guessed. I don’t mind telling them pre-12 week scan but I’m only 4 weeks I think so it’s just far too early.

I find it so difficult the socialising at this time. I don’t mind not drinking at all but as someone who enjoys a drink it’s just so damn obvious when I don’t! When I was pg last time I had my work summer party and had to pretend to drink a g&t and go and sneakily get just a tonic and swap over.

I think it’s partly because I’m a crap liar, I swear my face just shows everything!

Guybrush if I was you I would stick to the slightly higher end of your calorie intake – 1800 cals. 1500 is pretty low when your body is doing so much. But perhaps talk to the midwife about it?
You don’t actually need ANY extra calories until the last trimester I believe. When I had my booking in last time the midwife said –‘ now remember, you are eating for ONE NOT TWO!’.

The baby will take exactly what it needs and your body will prioritise the baby too.

sparkle17 · 17/10/2014 11:55

I'm going to struggle with the no drinking tomorrow and my friends wedding. Especially as i feel so bad as my other friend who will be there had a mmc just 3 weeks ago. My friends all know we have been trying. Going to try the antibiotics tactic.
Also just checked that fathers day next year is 21st june. My edd is 22nd june at the moment. What a great fathers day that would be if i was a day early!

AnythingNotEverything · 17/10/2014 12:44

We have a wedding tomorrow too sparkle. We're away for the weekend with the baby and my in laws, so I'm hoping to play the "teething baby, not much sleep, breastfeeding" card. Don't think anyone would expect is to be expecting again so soon so might get away with it.

We told the inlaws last night they're over the moon. Wouldn't have ordinarily told them so soon but they were bound to notice I wasn't drinking and it seems wrong to lie. Will have to tell my parents next week. Doesn't seem right for one at to know and not the other.

We had a really broken night with DD and we're up early to travel, but I'm feeling ok. Felt a bit sick this morning but had a banana and it passed. I still have a ache. Had a bit of a spasm putting DD in her pushchair. Must be more careful. I had backache at this stage last time too.

Guy it's really tough to watch your diet while pg. I'm a stone heavier than I was at my last booking appointment, but not obese in terms of BMI thankfully. When you have MS I think you need to eat whatever and whenever you feel able to, even if that's just hula hoops. After that I think a healthy balanced diet is the best path. I think it's healthier to try not to gain too much than to try and lose weight at this point - baby will certainly take what they need from you, but if you don't have enough left for yourself you'll feel rotten.

I'm intending to keep active this time. My sore back kept me out of anything in my first trimester but I hope to try swimming and/or Pilates. With 2 pregnancies in 2.5 years I need all the help I can get!

Sorry for the essay Grin

Afternoon ladies

Hope everyone is well... Just a quick one from me to say had scan this morning and everything is perfect thank god! One baby with a strong heartbeat am 8 +5 so due 24th May! I may linger here though if that's ok!

AnythingNotEverything · 17/10/2014 13:03

Brilliant news Chook!

cuphat · 17/10/2014 13:11

Brilliant, chookford! They put you forward quite a bit then.

What happens if you have an early scan and they say you're further along than the date based on your LMP? Do you tell your midwife? Would you get an earlier 12 week scan or do they stick to going by LMP?

Brilliant news chook was it a private scan. How far did you think you were along?

Am i missing much on the fb group. Not on it yet. Think detective might be busy. I have top privacy settings so not easy to add. Think i will have to add detective or someone else.

PerpetualStudent · 17/10/2014 14:06

Congrats chook, how exciting! And great to have been moved forward too!

Chookford · 17/10/2014 14:58

Yeah they have booked me in for my 12 week scan and have to wait for appointment through the post but nurse said it wouldn't be long and have book in with midwife Asap! It's real now I have to do things!

ots · 17/10/2014 14:58

Great news chookford :)

Had my midwife appointment this morning. Just was a general chat really, but got an appointment for my booking in :) 12th November, and I'll be 10+4 then. She said I'll get a scan date in the post soon too. All feels real now.

Feel so sick today and got really achey boobs. I properly feel pregnant now :)

Hope you're all having a nice Friday
