Any June mums to be yet?

I've seen the group for May or June, but are there any other definite Junes yet?
Been getting faint positive lines for a few days but today have got a definite line, giving me a due date of around 6th June :)

Trying to stay cautiously optimistic at the moment as we had an MMC in May at 8 weeks.

So, who else is out there? :)

Tranquility it's very secret. I'm sure TheDetective will add you later on. I am also feeling awfully sick this morning. Note to self, don't do anything other than drink ginger tea before doing anything first thing in the morning. Brushing my teeth was the most revolting experience ever! The toothpaste has gone rancid. I've been feeling sick for 2 weeks tranquility. In only 6 weeks now. I can only remember feeling this sick this early with dd.

Ok great I'll pm detective

purplebiro · 16/10/2014 09:51

I'm in. Pretty sure we'll be June although lots of confusion around how preg I am:

BFP (very - strong test line, faint control) this time last week.
Last period was about (I'm not sure, had decided to stop "actively" TTC and therefore stopped recording dates and I am very very irregular) 6 weeks ago, which would put me at early June.
BUT on reflection I think that "period" might've been implantation - lightest period I've ever had by some distance (I'm normally heave for 5 days, clots the works, this was clear mucus with some bleeding for 2/3 days) and very short. Last period before that was early AUGUST, which would put me mid May...

Booking appt today so might get to find out more or see if I can get an early scan...

Bellejessleo · 16/10/2014 10:10

Can I join please? Been having faint +'s since Saturday, got my bfp yesterday! This will be my 3rd baby, have a 5 yo ds and a 2.5 yo dd, eeeekk. I think I must be mad! Nice to have people to talk to....since I want to keep this one a secret in RL as long as possible Smile

Bellejessleo · 16/10/2014 10:11

Ooh think I will be due 25th June!

JennyOfOldstones · 16/10/2014 10:21

Welcome purple and belle!

I am 7 weeks today and my nausea really ramped up this morning, only stopped myself from vomiting by hanging my head out of the bathroom window! Feel ok now though. I agree about the tooth brushing Mrs E bleurgh.

Osney · 16/10/2014 10:41

Just been catching up on all the chatter. I've been to the US for a short trip - felt totally exhausted, but was able to make everyone think I was excessively jet lagged.

It's my first time and not planned...it does not feel real yet. I can't begin to get excited about this let alone form a view of where I'd want to give birth....I'm half expecting to mc and/or wake up soon!! It's very reassuring to see so many of you assuming things will turn out OK!

Seeing my GP tmrw so hopefully she'll help me connect with what's happening.

I'd like to join the fb group too - as long as it's totally hidden...

fortywinx · 16/10/2014 10:56

Well, I was up half the night on the loo with a bucket on my lap.
Sorry for tmi, but I think I've been constipated, and last night I was woken up with horrible cramps and had to rush to the bathroom. And once things got moving, I had to stay there for awhile!
Luckily OH was still up because he had to go and get me the bucket from the understairs cupboard. I was up several more times until I think I got the point where I was completely empty XD. Was dry-retching this morning too. Am now in work but am a complete mess. Will be in until 6-7 tonight as well as we have a parent evening which I have to help out with!

As I have been writing this I have had to run to the loo to throw up what I managed to eat this morning to try and keep the nausea at bay. I think I might go home soon.

Chookford · 16/10/2014 11:05

Morning everyone

Wow it was a busy night! Grin

Welcome purple and belle

forty that sounds horrible, hope you start to feel a little better soon, go home and go to bed!

sun just wanted to say after my mmc I spoke to the consultant about the chances of it happening again etc he told me the risk after one mmc is the same as someone who has never suffered one so minimal.. of course it can happen again but as jazzy said thats normally your body's way of realising something is wrong with the fetus, so the chances of you going on to have a healthy normal pregnancy after a mmc is very good.

silversixpence · 16/10/2014 11:09

Morning all, sorry to hear how sick some of you are! I still feel a bit nauseous but not anywhere near actual vomiting yet.

Yesterday I was so exhausted after work I slept for 2 hours! I also have seriously low blood pressure - it actually causes an error on the BP machine but think it's about 80/40. I had many fainting spells in my last two pregnancies!

Bellejessleo · 16/10/2014 11:11

Thanks Jenny, Reading all your posts...I am dreading the sickness, know it's going to come. It kicked in around 5 weeks with my others two children, so I must try and enjoy the next week before I become utterly useless and depressed! The only thing that seems to help me is if I constantly snack on carbs...which does nothing for the waste line!
Oh forty winks that sounds awful...poor you, you sound like you have it really really bad :-( Have u been to your gp...the sooner you start treatment for sickness the better it works apparently. I'm new to this thread and haven't read all the previous posts...so sorry if you've already done this!

JennyOfOldstones · 16/10/2014 11:17

I agree forty that sounds terrible, I wouldn't even be functioning. Get to the docs! Flowers

Smugfearnleyshittingstool · 16/10/2014 12:11

Morning everyone, loads of activity here to catch up on after a few days away:) I'm 6 weeks today and sickness is starting to kick in now, I used get it in the evening in my previous pregnancies but this time it's all day, eating toast helps slightly but in finding it reassuring so can't complain. Boobs not really hurting much at all still. I'm booked in with middy for 7/nov when I'll be nine weeks, she's lovely and I've worked with we when I was a student midwife so looking forward to a catch up with her not a midwife myself now, 3 years training was enough for me As the appointment is not for a few weeks I'm considering a private scan for reassurance maybe at 8 weeks. I don't reAlly use FB so hope you're not all buffering off over there:)

purplebiro · 16/10/2014 12:19

Hmmmm...so should my lack of sickness make me less convinced that I am further along? I'm really pretty symptom free so far - just bone tired and farting for England (apols).

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 16/10/2014 12:30

Oh dear, poor you forty. Be kind to yourself and take time off if you need to.

TheDetective · 16/10/2014 12:33

No symptoms here - 4+1 and hoping it stays this way Grin.

I'm not so lucky though!

I got a lovely present from my smallest today! He slept in til 11.30am Shock Shock Shock

Considering I was up stupidly late, I'm pretty damn grateful for it right now!

Hope you all have a lovely, symptom free (or symptom full if that's what you want!) day

Ps. Have sent friend requests to all who asked, when you add me I can add you to the group. I'll be in work so may not be able to do it until late this evening now. :)

cuphat · 16/10/2014 12:45

Sorry to hear some of you are really suffering.

After saying I wasn't going to have an early scan I am tempted now. I had a bad night with lack of sleep, and ended up stressed and then worrying about the baby.

Is an early scan worth it at 7+3? Are they definitely safe? I've been told they are but I think googling put me off last time.

Phryn · 16/10/2014 13:21

purplebiro - being shattered and having a rather musical rear was my first two symptoms. I'm trying to frame it as a good thing as at least my digestive system is working and not getting backed up (bloody progesterone).

Phryn · 16/10/2014 13:25

cuphat I remember reading on the miscarriage association site that scans are safe which reassured me.

You should be able to see a heart beat at 7+2, so having a scan from now you'd have stuff to see. The place I booked at reccomended around 8 weeks, and we've gone for the nearest sat after 9 weeks as I ovulated at least a week late. Good luck making your decision - what does your OH think?

ots · 16/10/2014 13:25

Thanks for the add detective my DS has the same name as your youngest :)

cuphat I've been told they are completely safe, but from my own experience I am slightly put off. We saw a heartbeat at 6+3, and during another scan at 8+4 there was no heartbeat and baby was measuring 6+4. They ensured us that the scan had absolutely nothing to do with it, but a tiny part of me struggles to believe it. I know in my heart that they are safe (otherwise there is no way they would do them!) but it is one of the things that is holding me back this time. Really hope I haven't worried anyone by saying this. Saying that, I really am tempted to have an early scan at around 8 weeks.

OP posts:
cuphat · 16/10/2014 13:34

Thank you Phryn and ots. My OH says that it's my decision and that I either need to book one or stop worrying. I'm so sorry that that happened ots. It's actually stories like that which put me off having one last time (when I had spotting). I was cautious about asking as I didn't want to worry anyone but then I also want as many opinions and experiences as possible so I can make a decision myself.

ots · 16/10/2014 13:39

Thanks cuphat sorry, really wasn't my intention to put anyone off by posting my experience, as I said, rationally I know the MC was not caused by the scan. I'm also put off because seeing the heartbeat last time gave us so much hope (I'd been spotting too), and then to start bleeding again 2 weeks later was so gutting. Although we are so pleased that we have a scan photo of that baby, makes it seem more real if that makes any sense.

I think its such a personal decision, my DH has said to me that its my choice if I want one this time, but I know he really doesn't want to.

OP posts:
cuphat · 16/10/2014 13:47

It is understandable that you feel that way - I would too. Thanks for sharing your experience - and again, I'm sorry you went through that.

Phryn · 16/10/2014 13:52

Just to clarify in case anyone thinks I'm being bonkers my comment "you should be able to see the hb at 7+2" was in relation to cuphat being at 7+2 (although rereading shows me I'm a day out) rather than 7+2 being the day hb suddenly starts being visible as I know for many people it's earlier than that! Confused

It's a hard decision - a scan can bring reassurance but unfortunately not a guarantee of a baby (which would indeed be an amazing medical leap forward!)

Whoever suggested earlier in the thread going under the duvet till we're at 7 months I totally get where you are coming from. Grin
