I've seen the group for May or June, but are there any other definite Junes yet?
Been getting faint positive lines for a few days but today have got a definite line, giving me a due date of around 6th June :)

Trying to stay cautiously optimistic at the moment as we had an MMC in May at 8 weeks.

So, who else is out there? :)

sun I am doing that tonight with sparkling juice! When hubby has his red wine I shall have the juice in a wine glass to fool my brain! Smile

Prob join you for that glass of 'wine' tonight i really need 1!!

Well i hav had an eventful day, and abit stressful but thankfully not pregnancy related. At about 1pm i get a knock at the door and the police r stood there and start questioning me about my car! Apparently it was involved in a drive off from a petrol station and they needed me to account for my movements. Of course it wasnt me or my car but it looks like the reg has been cloned. I've had to inform my insurance, dvla and i'm a childminder so all the parents as it will potentially flag up on anpr so the kids might b with me.
Total nightmare, its a brandnew car aswell!

Osney · 10/10/2014 19:42

Found out I'm pregnant yesterday! Due 17th June. Totally unplanned. My first, I'm 33. Is anyone else here a bit on the podgy side? According to BMI I learned today I'm obese and having done some googling, I'm totally freaked out! I exercise and eat heathily, but scared my age/weight means I'll mc.

Jazzy what a nightmare!!! Welcome Osney - also a bit heavier than I should be. About a stone heavier than when I was last time I was pregnant and a stone and a half more than I should be!! Was wondering if anyone is continuing with gym classes they do at the mo. I go to Pilates with one of my work colleagues and would like to continue because I want to keep the pregnancy a secret and also I love it and need to not out on too much weight but think there are probably some bits I should sit out?

htf2 · 10/10/2014 20:33

zacchery I don't think there's much you need to cut out yet. After a while you shouldn't lie on your back too much so sounds like you would need preggie pilates/yoga classes, not sure when this would be. I am no expert by the way! This is from my reading...but everything I have read says doing as much exercise as you did before getting pregnant for as long as you can! I am signed up for a 10km run at Henley on sunday and definitely doing that unless nausea kicks in, in which case hell no.
my Friday night wine glass is OJ and soda water :)

Zaccheryquack · 10/10/2014 20:38

htf2 am in awe of the long run! Are you feeling good and ready for the run?

TheDetective · 10/10/2014 21:18

Just joining the thread! Got my BFP today. Feeling starving Hmm after saying this morning I had no symptoms!

This is number 3 for me. I have DS1 who is 12, and DS2 who is 22 months.

EDD around 23/24 June, but I can guarantee I'll be the last one on the bus and considered joining July instead! as I was 13 days over due with DS1 and 20 days over due with DS2 (my choice to be). So I'm expecting a baby in July. Maybe! Grin

I've booked my first appointment for my week off work, 7th November. Feels like 2 minutes since my last booking in appt!

Kyz · 10/10/2014 21:24

OMG DETECTIVE!!!!!!! YAAAAYYY! Stay on this bus, with MEEE! Have added you to the stats :) Stats List

Evening all, plenty of sickness here today! yum! Am 6 weeks today so that's good :) I did manage to put some makeup on and not look like a half dead flump though. I even left the house briefly. Ugh!

ots the increased drive hasn't hit me yet, it did last time though! I still have the niggle that sticky bean will be dislodged and I KNOW how silly that is but I can't help it!

ooh gosh zacchary good luck!

glad the gp appt went well phryn

guy yes, I do, but it's more with breastfeeding. My previous experience with breastfeeding wasn't pleasant and I really don't want the same thing to happen again. I will go into detail if you want to know but basically I don't feel I got the support I needed and as a first timer I didn't know how to push for it/didn't feel comfortable pushing for it. Labour wise, I was basically left to it largely and put on a birthing stool last minute. I didn't know what I wanted to happen but I think this time I will have an actual idea of what I want based on last time if that makes sense?

lol mrse I have had cravings today for a bowl of mashed swede! I do love it normally so I guess it's not totally out of the ordinary! Last pregnancy, I ate peanut butter smothered grapes and strawberries. I hate peanut butter, but I HAD to have it!

Jenny i'd love to sleep all weekend but it won't happen with ds about, bless him!

oh what a PITA jazzy!!

hiya osney and congrats! have added you to the stats list, you're due on my mums birthday :)

Eeeeeek! Am shitting self - although it's funny how I haven't had a moment to think about it properly until this evening. Haven't stopped all day. Soon as I did I was starving!

Thanks for the stats! This shit's real, innit?! Grin

Hi Sunbathing! fancy seeing you here Grin!

Kyz you can talk to me about your feeding experience if you like? I haven't read past page 8 though yet, so might have misinterpreted your post.

Is anyone thinking of using onetoone midwives? I've had two difficult experiences, and want a more chilled out experience this time.

MrsExtraOrdinary · 10/10/2014 21:55

Hi detective, so glad you made it over here! Grin

Kyz · 10/10/2014 22:22

Thanks det that'd be good. I just don't feel we had the support we needed, I needed, being a total newbie. I WANT to try to bf, but I am seriously put off by last time!

Thanks sunbathing I dont mind some symptoms but i need to be able to function too! Gosh, here i am wanting it all!

what is onetoone midwives det?

TheDetective · 10/10/2014 22:49

Sadly, as you experienced, bf support is crap - for many reasons (I'd be here all day ranting!).

The biggest thing you can do is to prepare yourself before hand, read up as much and attend whatever support groups you can do. The more you can learn about it, the easier you will find things (if the baby co-operates, which not all do!).

This explains what they are :)

They would be excellent for BF support if they operate in your area. They started local to me in the NW, and cover a huge area now, but you would have to message and see if they cover your area.

Ok I have three questions:

  1. Is there a page which defines all the mumsnet acronyms?
  2. When people say a first sign is sore boobs, what do they mean? My boobs feel totally normal, and I'm not sure what to expect...
  3. What are people's thoughts on sex in early pregnacy? Can it increase risk of mc?

Thaks for your answers! Sorry ifthy were already asked/answered....I'm not read the entire 400+ messages on this thread!

Oh look, I'm getting insomnia now too!

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 11/10/2014 03:19

Third night on the trot that I've been wide awake too. Why??? Don't remember this last time. It seems so cruel when my toddler (who is a notoriously bad sleeper) is fast asleep. I'm just wide awake. ffs.
