I've seen the group for May or June, but are there any other definite Junes yet?
Been getting faint positive lines for a few days but today have got a definite line, giving me a due date of around 6th June :)

Trying to stay cautiously optimistic at the moment as we had an MMC in May at 8 weeks.

So, who else is out there? :)

Ds is aiding my insomnia. I always wake before he does. He's struggling to get into his new routine. He's 3! But most nights either dh or I have to crawl into bed with him to settle him down again. It's getting back to sleep afterwards is now impossible.

Wish I could feel more optimist but for the last 2 days my boobs went back to normal and that never happened beforem....
Sorry to be a downer... going back to a corner and wait add stressed emoticon here

notsoold · 10/10/2014 13:48

sunbathing sorry I am not referring to you not having symptoms. ...mjist me and my funny mental state....

JennyOfOldstones · 10/10/2014 13:57

notsoold please don't panic! Plenty of people don't even realise they are pregnant so it must be ok! It is just a shame that the only reassurance we have at this early stage is having symptoms (and obsessive testing of course)

MrsExtraOrdinary · 10/10/2014 13:58

Yes I've had 17 years of insomnia! GrinGrin

Glad everything's ok, phryn.

Honestly, I had no symptoms with DD and everything was fine. If this were my first pregnancy I'd be panicking hearing you all worry about lack of symptoms!

I think I would have nausea, but I eat something small regularly which seems to keep it away.

I also had a bad nights sleep last night. DD is a great sleeper and sleeps through, which makes it more annoying! I'm ok getting off to sleep at bedtime but I keep waking up around 2am and then I can't get back to sleep.

Definitely no sleeping all weekend here! Grin

Haha well not 17 years straight without sleep but, somebody is always getting up for a wee and leaving the light on, which means i always wake up. Also I'm in a new house which is taking time to get used to. I can't remember A time I slept all the way through the night without waking at all. But usually I'm back to sleep pretty quick. Not currently. I used to think it was your body getting ready for night feeds. Sunbathing you'll be a professional night feeder! Grin

MrsExtraOrdinary · 10/10/2014 14:14

I'm on to lilt as craving number2! Totally tropical taste! Yum!

cuphat · 10/10/2014 14:25

I know, sunbathing, that's understandable. You have to think positive though Smile

When DD was newborn it was tough but I remember thinking that I was sleeping better than when I was pregnant! For the last month or so of pregnancy I hardly slept, I couldn't get comfortable.

I had no cravings either, last time. Though DD would kick hard when I drank hot chocolate (I hardly felt her kicking due to the location of my placenta)!

notsoold · 10/10/2014 14:26

Thanks all.... I am sensible person but not at this stage.....

JennyOfOldstones · 10/10/2014 14:52

Ooh mrsE I want some Lilt now! It used to be my hangover drink of choice and now I feel permanently hungover so it would help I think.

My birth stories, very briefly!
DS - 13 hour labour, went into hospital at 7cm dilated thanks to TENS, then had 3 hours of labour and nearly 1 hour of pushing before DS was born. Used gas and air which made me a bit lightheaded. Had to have lots of stitches afterwards which took forever to heal.

DD - went into labour 5 days before due date, went on for about 6 hours and we were all ready to go up to the hospital when the contractions just died down and disappeared Confused. Think it was partly because I decided to sit down and take it easy instead of walking around. A week later I went into labour properly, was using TENS for 5 or so hours, got to hospital and was fully dilated so went straight into the birthing pool and delivered 40 mins later! My waters hadn't broken so DD was born in the sac in the water, quite a surreal moment. Decided against syntometrine so I could stay in the water then had quite a lot of bleeding so got transferred to the main labour ward and had to be on a drip over night. I was told I wouldn't be allowed back at the midwifery led unit but I'm going to try and persuade them!

Chookford · 10/10/2014 16:15

I'm another one planning on sleeping all weekend! Hurrah! My craving today is strawberry milkshake! I had this with my dd too so am hoping this is all a good sign!! Smile

MrsExtraOrdinary · 10/10/2014 16:35

Hi silver, my 3rd dc was born in his bag of waters. The mw had never seen it before. I think it is quite rare.

Would love to do some serious sleeping this weekend but will be at a friends wedding.

Really not sure what to do about telling people or not. I don't fancy booze at the moment so I may just have some fizz with the toasts. Happy to just drink cranberry juice or nurse a glass of wine at the table to look inconspicuous. What will be tough is that I went to the hen do after I had my mc - so all the hens and probably their partners (many of whom are also good mates) might ask how me and DH are now... don't know how we'll respond TBH. I'm a crap liar and I hate doing it. Might fudge questions with "getting there" or "it's been very up and down but it feels that we're on the up now". Something like that. Any suggestions welcome Smile

And I need to find some super strength concealer for my teenage like spotty chin (is anyone else more spotty - chin is breaking out terribly and forehead is very oily!)

Phryn

I'm noticing more spots too so piling on the make up! I use bare minerals concealer and foundation and that seems to do the trick for me!

With regard to telling people I would go with the getting there line, it's not open ended to invite further questions!

I hope everyone manages to get a good nights sleep tonight, shame we can't all have plenty of Wine to help!!
