Any June mums to be yet?

I've seen the group for May or June, but are there any other definite Junes yet?
Been getting faint positive lines for a few days but today have got a definite line, giving me a due date of around 6th June :)

Trying to stay cautiously optimistic at the moment as we had an MMC in May at 8 weeks.

So, who else is out there? :)

Hi ladies, I'm so glad that everyone else is feeling bloated, my tummy is big and hard, impossible to be comfy in jeans so I'm mostly in loose t shirt dressed with leggings but that may be worse as nothing to hold it in, so of I really let it go in site id look about 25 weeks! To be fair my tummy wasn't flat before:)
On the coca cola front it's nearly a week, and I only had a slight temptation at work today. I've also started having a spatone sachet in my juice every day to boost iron a bit, I usually do this as winter sets in any way and it gives me a bit more energy, much needed!
My little four year old dd came I. To bed for her usual cuddle this Morning but also gave my tummy the biggest snuggle and kiss too, she will be soooo excited when I tell her the news!
Symptom wise today I feel no cramps or pain, slightly tender breasts that come and go really and no nausea yet. It's so nice to read how you're all doing too, this asylum is keeping me sane!

I had blood tests every four weeks or so, but that was because my platelets were found to be low at the 12 week tests.

Birdiegirl · 09/10/2014 18:29

Hi everyone, hope you're all well! I'm 6+6 today, feeling very tired as I lay awake last night until about 3am before eventually nodding off! Hope I get a good nights sleep tonight.

I got a call from my midwife and my booking in appt is set for 3 Nov. I've booked a private scan for next week, as I can't wait until 12 weeks and I just want to see the little bean and make sure all is ok.

Kyz · 09/10/2014 20:46

Evening all :) Stats List

My symptoms have eased up this afternoon/evening, which worries me! I should be grateful for the break though right? :S Had the insomnia last night which was less than fun but I don't feel overly tired atm either.

aw that's really sweet bubalou re your ds and morning cuddles

i'm no good for bath advice (And i know i'm late to this one) I like to have it as hot as I can stand it, and I think it's recommended not to have it quite so hot!

sorry for putting anyone off with birth stories Blush

ooh er jazzy i've never had an internal scan so it's good in a way to hear about them, i am still undecided as to whether to have an early scan or not.

I'm looking awfully pot bellied too and have stuck my big jeans back on. Tis just comfier!

have updated your stats peppermint :)

I started showing quite early last time iirc, but this time i just look bloated/chubby so far, I never really went back to 'normal' after having DS and have had a bit of a tummy since then so i've just got bloat behind a bit of a tummy Blush

have updated your appt jenny :)

hi birdie have added your appt to the stats too :) nice to hear from you :)

hope i've not missed anyone/anything!

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 09/10/2014 21:19

Evening all, this group moves fast- I might struggle to keep up with you all! I've mostly spent today planning lovely meals for the next few days. If it's anything like last pregnancy, I will start living off toast and marmite next week and be unable to look at a proper meal for about 5 weeks. Like being on death row.
Nasty metallic taste in my mouth doing my head in. Went for a long bike ride which was nice. Hope I can carry on doing that.

Just caught up with the thread! Nothing much has changed here, except that I'm really bloated and uncomfortable. Trousers still fitting but not wearing jeans for the time being. Sickness is gradually worsening too. I have also started early with heartburn as I get it anyway.

ots I had that upper back pain on the left side in my ribs/shoulderblade in both my pregnancies and it is starting again. It was really uncomfortable sitting in the car when I had it before.

Anyone else taking advantage of midseason sales to do some maternity shopping Blush. I expect to be in maternity gear quite early on so have bought a couple of things.

htf2 · 09/10/2014 22:12

I went to bed too sunbathing it has just been a fairly rough week at work, now I'm trying to consider dinner! I haven't quite dared actual shopping but have bought a few things on ebay silver, like a winter coat a size up (it's my first UK winter from Australia and I was nervous about winter anyway, I don't want to find my coat can't close! and there weren't any in the shops when I arrived in feb). And am thinking about more flat shoes.... I hadn't really thought about showing that soon, I suppose I was thinking in the new year... probably just naive :)

MrsExtraOrdinary · 09/10/2014 22:17

Sunbathing I've had an underactive thyroid for 18 years and it's always needed to be monitored in pregnancy. Frequent blood tests and increased dose. However I'm already on 250mg of thyroxine and that's before we start adding more.

Phryn · 09/10/2014 22:18

Ots and silver - I'm also getting some pain in my shoulder blade. I was worrying a bit about an ectopic but I have no other symptoms so am really hoping it's just random pain. Any reassurance you have from your experience would be muchly appreciated.

It's also a bit of a dodgy area for me as I had chronic pain in that area following a car crash which is now resolved. I still tend to carry tension in that area though.

The asylum is definitely a good nickname for this thread or perhaps stage of pregnancy! Confused

Yes they will probably do thyroid function tests along the way sunbathing to make sure it's keeping up with demand. I should really get one done but I'm a bit paranoid they'll start whisking me off to specialists before I'm armed and ready.

ots · 09/10/2014 22:50

phryn I was a bit worried due to it being an ectopic symptom too, although I thought that was at the front of your shoulder? If not I'm going to start worrying again! But I have no other symptoms either, and I'm sure I would as I believe shoulder pain is a more advanced symptom (again, not certain)

Aside from that, has anyone else had an increased sex drive? I was like it with DS too, although not as early as this. 'Poor' DH doesn't know what's hit him Grin

Hi everyone, can't believe how much has been written in the last few days. Welcome to all the new people and hope everyone is feeling well. Perpetual sorry to hear about your DH Granny. My DH lost his Nan when I was pregnant and I know the new baby was really comforting for everyone!

I was really lucky with my first labour. No need for drugs or stitches. Think position of the baby is definitely the key (although not sure how much you can do about it so maybe not that comforting a thought!!) I think she was just over 7lbs. Can't really remember when I started to show - quite late I think but made up for it by the end! Won't be so lucky this time as horrible suspicion tummy muscles still split from last time!

Have both my divorced in laws staying for next few days. Wish me luck!

Phryn · 09/10/2014 22:59

Thanks Ots and sunbathing. I'm 90% sure it's nothing - from checking out sensible websites online I think ectopic shoulder pain is in a different place from where I'm getting it. I will however call my GP tomorrow and get an emergency appt to make sure.
Wishing you all a good night's sleep.

jazzyjenbo · 09/10/2014 23:05

Evening all, just sat down after i've been cake decorating since 8pm.

You girls made me Grin with your heightened sex drives. This is not a symptom i have.. Dh wishes it was i think!! Not dtd since the bfp tbh (its psychological on my part... I dont want any interference that could dislodge this bean... I know thats impossible btw i'm just paranoid!!) think dh is abit put out after 9 mths of very active ttc dtd!!
In my 2 successful pregnancies i got the increased sex drive towards the end. Still didnt help shift ds who arrived 9 days late.

ots · 09/10/2014 23:07

Thanks for that link sunbathing From the description on there it seems like its in a different place to where I'm getting it.

Need to stop worrying about everything... Asylum is definitely the right word!

Hmmmm I can't remember if Dr Google is right on this occasion or not. I don't remember having this level of insomnia before. The sheer exhaustion was the same each time but I don't remember this. I wish I'd made notes now.

MrsExtraOrdinary · 10/10/2014 03:06

Sunbathing the armour is this is my 6th pregnancy and despite having underlying issues I will refuse all intervention. And I personally don't want consultant led care. Nor will I be strapped to a bed with a feotal monitor on my babies head throughout labour. I just want to be able to make my own decisions about my body and my baby. It's always frowned upon. Because I know nothing about pregnancy or birthing do I, on baby 6. Thing is I am the authority on my body. I've lived in it 34 years. But because it goes against the masses you get opposition. Sometimes you get a really enlighten Dr. So I live in hope.
