Morning all,

Sorry for having a mini pity party. Work was getting pretty intense and horrid, coupled with insomnia, all day sickness, tiredness and generally feeling run down. I've been off work sick and really don't think I can face going back. This has triggered mega thrush, feeling like I'm peeing out fire. Still feeling bloated, fat, struggling to eat anything that can be considered healthy food.

Overall just feeling horrid. I've been taking Pregnacare both pre pregnancy and now, doesn't seem to have made much difference.

It does feel as if I am slowly coming out of the haze but it's taking time. I'm 10w+1 today. My blood tests and urine tests have all come out fine with no issues seen. I had my scan at 6w+6 where we saw a heartbeat and the beanie. So scared to have the 12 week scan just in case something has gone wrong, heart is very much set on this beanie :(

I just want to know everything's going to be fine and all of this will pass. Right now, work situation is just a mess, house is a mess and I'm feeling like a mess :(

tiny Flowers take care of yourself

plinky sorry to hear you're feeling so rough, hope things pick up for you soon.

justyouwait great that you're feeling better!

Had a much better day yesterday today. Much less queasy, but has been replaced by The Hunger. I am STARVING! Had two slices of toast for breakfast, another tow slices of toast about half an hour ago and I still have that gnawing feeling in my stomach, so admitted defeat and made lunch. Well, first lunch, I imagine second lunch will likely follow in a couple of hours. Or minutes. At least I'm working from home this morning so can raid the cupboards as and when I fancy Grin

speedbird17 · 03/10/2014 11:00

Aberjen my meal habits have become highly hobbit-like too... First breakfast, second breakfast, elevenses, brunch, first lunch...

Haha apart from that and sore boobs no symptoms and no more spotting or bleeding so for now, fingers crossed!

mamaslatts · 03/10/2014 12:04

Hi all

Childminder has guessed, well asked in front of DC2, so I had to shush her before adding 'I'm only 8 weeks' to which her reply was 'you have 2 in there' Hmm so slightly disturbed that I am looking enormous already. Feeling pretty exhausted so spend days off laying on the sofa... bring on the eating, that I can do!

SmileyScooby · 03/10/2014 13:40

Sorry everyone I will have a proper read this evening but Arghh I just ate something then looked at the ingredients... I bought a chicken and bacon Caesar wrap in sainsburys for my lunch...and only after did I read the ingredients...the cheese was made from unpasteurised milk...eeek have I just caused major problems for myself by being half awake this morning when I bought it?!

SmileyScooby · 03/10/2014 14:15

Meant to say the cheese was grana padano?

Tiny and Elisa am sorry to hear your news :( hope both got support x

Poor you Plinky, that all sounds v stressful.

I had been feeling much better for a while then today have felt like I've been hit by a lorry. DH and DD both been bit under the weather too so might be a bug. Had to get poor DH to come home early again. Am so lucky his job is flexible.

Then a car went crazy with his horn at a roundabout on way to get DH from station. I honestly don't know what I can have some wrong. DH said I might have swerved slightly into his lane but I'm sure I didn't. I'm such umconfident driver anyway that I couldn't help sobbing and was inconsolable by the time I'd explained to DH what had happened! He came understand it at all.

Also every time I have a bad day or feel extra tired I worry that I've done the wrong thing. How will I possibly cope with two, will I always feel guilty as DD's having to watch more TV and share my attention, will poor new baby get a look in, how will I cope later on in pregnancy. Then I feel vv guilty as am so lucky to be pregnant and would be devastated if anything went wrong!

BB01 · 03/10/2014 15:18

sorry, he can't understand that should be!

GinIsCalling · 03/10/2014 17:15

plinkyplonks I feel exactly the same. I'm so lethargic and have no energy for anything, it's v depressing - it's even effecting how exciting I find this pregnancy (ie I just keep thinking how much harder havi a baby will be).

I haven't been posting on here as I am so preoccupied with feeling sick all the time. I have been eating lots of plain fruit ice lollies, the sugar and coldness seem to ease the nausea just as I think i am going to throw up. I do find that throwing up eases it for a couple of hours, but hate throwing up! And anything that I do throw up then makes me nauseous, so can't even bare the smell of toast right now - not good when working in the office as everyone always eats toast, or so it suddenly seems.

I'm nine weeks and remember feeling great in second trimester last time - so holding onto the hope it's going to get a lot better soon.

Justyouwaitandsee · 03/10/2014 17:32

Oh no! So sorry if my message sounded smug earlier (just such a relief to feel better after weeks of being sick and miserable!) Sad

BeanCalledPickle · 03/10/2014 17:44

On the cheese front it's not whether or not it's pasteurised that is the key thing. Have a look at the NHS website. Hard cheese is generally fine. Soft mould ripened cheese is bad, even if made with pasteurised milk. There were about 150 cases of listeria last year in the uk so you are talking tiny tiny risk. I eat all cheese if cooked through, and will have Stilton etc on occasion. I just avoid soft and runny. Basically the lovely stuff:-)

Fluffeh · 03/10/2014 18:17

Sorry for everyone feeling sick. I feel sick all day it's blooming horrible.
In good news I got my scan letter through today it's on Thursday 40th October. Just under 4 weeks time - exciting!
If I haven't heard from a midwife by the end of next week I'll try and chase it up but I'm hoping she sorted the scan and just hasn't managed to get hold of me yet.

Fluffeh · 03/10/2014 18:17

Haha the 30th not the 40th!

Mslad · 03/10/2014 18:25

Hugs to all those feeling so rotten - hopefully it's a good sign for your little bean.

Has anyone used those maternity band thingys? I bought one & am trying it out over my jeans tonight cos my stomach has become so fricking big! It does kinda feel like I'm going out with my jeans open....I'm off to see Gone Girl, loved the book so hope the film is as good.

Happy Friday night everyone!

BeanCalledPickle · 03/10/2014 18:38

I think the best thing about the sickness is that it can literally disappear overnight. I felt awful last Saturday and then since then I've been ok. Unless I'm hungry, when I feel disgusting. So keep going ladies. It might disappear tomorrow!

HariboBrenshnio · 03/10/2014 19:06

Sorry to those feeling rubbish, it's no fun. From my experience the second trimester is much more enjoyable!

BB01 i have had thought's like that too. Mainly concerning my one to one time with DS and him feeling pushed out. I keep reminding myself that this baby is a blessing and that it will be short term pain for long term gain. Pregnancy and the newborn stage will be hard with a toddler but it's for such a short period of time in the grand scheme of things. Once baby is 1, they will start to have some of the same interests, enjoy playing together, DS will be more independent and then when it comes to school, they'll go at similar times. DS will have a sibling which is lovely, i loved playing with my sisters growing up. It's just hard when you feel so rubbish!

I am exhausted. I dozed off for a split second today while playing with DS on the floor and got a sharp prod in the eye! Also started with the constipation which isn't pleasant. Last time round i was suffering badly and one day fancied some weetos. Unusual for me to want something sweet in the morning but after eating it every day i was really regular so maybe i'll try that again.

Oh dear, feeling bad for the pukers. plinky & gin esp, hoping things ease up for you. Having been worried about a lack of symptoms & ms I now have my come uppance! Nausea has kicked in, however hopefully it means things are progressing ok.

mslad, I loved the book too, let us know how the film is.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 03/10/2014 19:21

Oh & I'm also on the hobbit diet, my growing tum isn't due to baby but the rubbish I am craving (cupcake & doughnut so far today) Blush

Royalsteph · 03/10/2014 19:33

I also have a rounded tummy. even though it's not baby yet I quite like it. my sickness comes and goes but gives me a good excuse to go to bed when the kids do :)

aberjen · 03/10/2014 19:36

My second lunch ended up being two vanilla slices and a fruit salad from m&s Blush I did however see first lunch again Sad Weirdly, I've felt loads better today, but have been more sick than normal?! Also, DD has picked up a sickness bug, so now I'm not sure how much is ms, how much is bug, and how much is hypochondria Blush

Is it the second trimester yet?!

aberjen · 03/10/2014 19:44

smile unpasteurised grana padano should be fine, as it's a hard cheese Smile

It's all the lovely soft, oozy, mould-ripened cheeses we're not supposed to have Sad

mumxof3x · 03/10/2014 19:47

Sorry for your losses elisa and tiny :(

Got booking next thursday I will be nearly 9wks, I only went to doctors on monday lol.

Feeling rather poop, my youngest isnt well so been up all night and feel so sick.

Hope everyone has a good weekend x

Gingerbreadlady1 · 03/10/2014 19:56

Glad I'm not the only one eating naughtily aberjen. My excuse is sugar seems to help with the nausea. I also had a token fruit salad Wink
