Also re the flu jab, my GP advised me to have it and my mum works alongside community midwives and both have said there's no risk involved and they are encouraging all pregnant woman to have it. So I will be.

Turquoisetamborine · 28/09/2014 17:34

Wow Bean that's amazing. Did you go to EPU or did you book a private one?

Seasiderunner · 28/09/2014 18:29

Great scan! I'm having one done next week (private) as I don't have my booking in app until 14.5 weeks, due to our holiday and not being able to fit us in before. That's why I want a private scan! Just to reassure me that all is ok. I guess the midwife will tell me about the flu jab then.

I was told that if you have been exercising before pregnancy then it's ok to continue, just don't get too hot. I have run a few times and it does make me feel better

BeanCalledPickle · 28/09/2014 19:00

Private. No particular need or concern just wanted to as we did last time. And it's very reassuring. The chance of miscarriage is now only 2pc. I know there is still a chance of all manner of other horrors but at the moment everything is good!

Titsalinabumsquash · 28/09/2014 19:08

Your scan pic is a lot clearer than mine with Babybond, their 4D scans are amazing though, we have a disc with a video of DS3's.

I'm hoping when I have the 11/12 week scan, this little one will be more baby shaped and less Seahorse shaped! Grin

jazzyjenbo · 28/09/2014 19:57

Fantastic scan pic bean, almost missed it with not being able to view pics on the app.. Switched to desktop version especially. Think we need to write (pic) on all posts with pictures so non are missed, especially the scan ones - love them

Fab scan Bean - I bet you were thrilled to bits!

Kyz · 28/09/2014 20:22

Hi all :) Hope everyone has had a good weekend?

two parties haribo that's enough to knock anyone for six!

fluffeh is it a girly kitten? I've found my two girls got very clingy during my last pregnancy and they are starting to do the same now. The boys are always bloody clingy so it's hard to note a difference in them.

I haven't been offered the flu jab yet but I was given it last time along with the whooping cough one. They were given once I reached a specific point iirc, it was past a certain point, about 26 weeks, but before about 33 weeks or something similar.

thewildones bless you, I can understand your worries :( I hope the pain eases up soon, it doesn't sound nice at all! I hope the doctor helps put your mind at ease, and as you say no blood etc hopefully means all is as it should be :)

that all sounds alot more positive tits glad your dp is stepping up a bit :)

winnie with my last pregnancy I was nauseaous but not ever sick often and I found it awful, I think I would've rather throw up and get it over with! The times I was sick, the feeling sick feeling went away, but the other times it just hung around till mid/late morning and I felt rough as a badgers arse most days!

I was doing the 30 day shred, but gave up due to AF and haven't been back on it since, and now i'm worried about doing it so have left it - i'm walking as much as possible and wondering what else I can do. I'm not massively overweight but there's always a few lbs to use not to mention the fact that I must be the most unfit person in the world ever!

glad you've got your appetite back bb01 that must be nice!

aw bean lovely to see a scan pic :D

HariboBrenshnio · 29/09/2014 07:00

Re whooping cough jab: that's a really important one. I think it's more so for winter born babies but I'll be having it again like I did with DS last year. There were a number of newborn deaths from whooping couch as they aren't vaccinated until 8 weeks so if we get vaccinated, we pass on the vaccination to cover that first 8 weeks. I think you need it done before 34 weeks so plenty of time, after and it doesn't have time to pass through to baby. Your arm does ache for a few days after though!

I'll get the flu jab too, I'm a big believer in vaccinations and thankful we get them free here.

Fab scan picture! How lovely to see bean so clearly already :)

Well ladies, I'm out of the May club. Started bleeding yesterday, and it's got worse, I felt from the start it wasn't a viable pregnancy, so it's no great shock and no massive loss. Does mean I can do my original plan of losing weight BEFORE falling this time! Grin

Good luck, lovelies. Hope you all have drama free pregnancies and lovely healthy babies Grin

GinIsCalling · 29/09/2014 07:59

Deftones I am very sorry to hear that. Thinking of you xx

Sunshinesaz86 · 29/09/2014 08:02

LinaDee · 29/09/2014 09:03

Titsalinabumsquash · 29/09/2014 09:14

So sorry Deftones. Take care x

LinaDee · 29/09/2014 10:14

Just had a tiny streak of red when I wiped.
It's very minimal and I'm really trying not to worry. I was only at EPU for a scan on Friday and on Saturday for booking and I feel like it might be too soon to annoy them again...

Turquoisetamborine · 29/09/2014 10:27

Deftones, sorry for your loss. Have you actually had it confirmed? Lina I hope you are just one of those people who bleed sometimes through pregnancy and it's nothing to worry about. I would still ring EPU.

Fluffeh · 29/09/2014 11:09

So sorry deftones be kind to yourself xx
Lina, if you want to contact them please do. They won't feel you're bugging them. I'm sure they'd rather you go and be reassured than anxious at home x
Bean love the scan!

It's a boy kitten so maybe it's just a cuddly little beggar?haha.
It likes to bug DD when she's eating her porridge. It was doing it yesterday and all of a sudden DD gave a little cough followed by a huge projectile vomit. The silly kitten ran to eat it and DD projectiled a second time all over him! I've cleaned him up as much as possible but he's very spikey haired now. Can you bath kittens?

I have a GP appointment this afternoon as I'm still having period style cramps and still haven't heard from the mw. Hopefully it'll all be ok and it's normal. I just can't remember a thing from last time.

fififolle · 29/09/2014 12:09

So sorry for your loss Deftones, take care.

Lina this has been a really stressful time for you! I'd give the EPUba call, even if just for reassurance.

Don't worry about bugging them Lina, I'd just call them. That's what they're there for.
