Kyz · 27/09/2014 20:15

Evening all,

so sorry to you both slightly and natalie, look after yourselves :(

Welcome to the newbies :)

I've been so bloated today I feel about 6 months gone or soemthing, and my boobs have started to hurt so symptoms are picking up here! I need to remember to not eat so much because I feel awful afterwards! I'm not eating more than normal, just eating my usual amount and it doesn't feel like it fits anymore, boo!

Sorry to see it wasn't just me suffering with the insomnia! Here's hoping we get a better sleep tonight!

try not to worry costa easier said than done i know, but fx, hope next week comes around quickly :)

congratulations on your nephew catnap how lovely :)

oh tits that sounds stressful :( Would it help at all to have a chat with dp at all? You've got an awful lot to deal with and you're going to need some support throughout this pregnancy, not to mention afterwards! Can you do a meal plan each week? I have to do this otherwise we spend a fortune on dinners. I hope you got some rest, you deserve it. I tend to meal plan, plus keep some easy stuff in as someone else suggested, things like kievs, wedges etc, just stuff to bung in the oven in the event that I forget to take meat out of the freezer etc. Now the sickness and symptoms are starting i'm going to be needing dp to cook sometimes I think, so I'll make sure i've plenty of easy bits in. DS loves peas and sweetcorn so I keep a bag of each in the freezer as it's easy to add a portion of that to whatever we've got, even if it doesn't seem to go with it he doesn't care and then I don't feel guilty that he's going without veggies.

I really REALLY fancy an indian takeaway, despite having nowhere to put it, I'm stuffed up to my eyebrows!

HariboBrenshnio · 27/09/2014 20:23

Just catching up, it's been a mad 2 days with DS turning 1 and having 2 parties!

I'm exhausted, my whole body aches. DS isn't sleeping as he's got a UTI which was giving him D&V. I've not slept in more than a 4 hour block in 3 weeks. Thankfully DP is being lovely (as always!) and trying to do as much as possible but DS is a real mummies boy. Poor baby has had it rough, really hope we are turning a corner now he's on the right anti b's.

No major symptoms, my back aches but that could be all the rocking of a 22lb baby i've done and my boobs are sore. Super bloated and my bowls can't decide what they want to do.

So sorry to hear of the losses, please take care of yourselves.
Those who are worrying, i hope it all works out fine. These babies at this stage (and all stages!) are such a worry and it's hard to think of anything else.

Hi to all the newbies!!

Fluffeh · 28/09/2014 06:45

Natalie and slightly I'm so sorry. Please be kind to yourselves xx

Costa fx for your next scan to be more reassuring.

I'm very close to greater Manchester too. My dp grew up in Ashton. We live in east lancs now but travel to Manchester a lot for shopping. I can't wait for the Christmas markets!
I think DD may be psychic haha. She keeps hugging my tummy and saying "aww beebee" which although it's seriously cute, worries me what else she is picking up on. She's 17 months so there's no way she actually knows.
We have a kitten and it's making me irrationally annoyed because it wants to sit on my lap all the time. Never dp's only mine argh! I keep telling myself it's just a baby but when I need to get up quickly to rescue DD from her usual antics or pee/be sick he just clings on to my legs the pest!
Has anyone been offered the flu jab yet? I haven't been offered it so think I may have to call and book myself in.

KittyVonCatsington · 28/09/2014 07:15

I was thinking about having the flu jab fluff-maybe I'll ask at my midwife appoint. next Saturday. It will be free for us as we are high risk for flu. Maybe we can get them when we have the whooping caugh jab?

Geez, I spent most of yesterday passed out (sorry tits not what you wanted to hear I'm sure! Hope your day got better) so was worried I didn't eat enough. If anyone has a pregnancy book, can I pick your brains? If you can't eat a lot due to fatigue/sickness/constipation etc. what foods do they recommend are essential?

TheWildOnes · 28/09/2014 07:48

I'm now 6 weeks and having really bad back and neck pain including my shoulders. I have been panicking thinking maybe it's an ectopic pregnancy but I also have Fibromyalgia so I am always in pain and I can't tell the difference. I have had no bleeding or bad stomach pains though so I am keeping my fx. I am going to see my doctor tomorrow though for advice.
After 2 mc already I don't know how I will cope with another unsuccessful pregnancy.

KittyVonCatsington · 28/09/2014 08:24

Thanks Tori! Totally understand your worry about the flu jab. I read during the week, a Telegraph article on a big drive to vaccinate pregnant women this winter so seriously considered it, whereas I hadn't thought about it before. It is hard to know what is the right thing to do, isn't it?!

Titsalinabumsquash · 28/09/2014 08:34

Good morning all. Smile

Thanks for the kind words, I'm really hoping for a better day today, DP has go tip with all the kids and brought me some porridge for breakfast, I think he's understanding a bit better.

We did a big online food shop last night so I made sure to get lots of snacks for me that are healthy (I can't get enough of baby plum tomatoes atm) and some easy bits for emergencies.

I cannot wait for my new sofa to arrive, I sold my other one asap when Ikea said they could deliver the new one in a couple of days, then after I'd sold it they unfitted me that only hot pink was in stick for immediate delivery and grey wouldn't be arriving until 3rd October Hmm

So now the front room is full of old cushions and it's damn uncomfortable.

winnie1981 · 28/09/2014 08:56

Hi everyone!

So sorry to those that have had losses xx

And a big welcome to all the newbies!

I read this thread often but I don't often have time to post!

So I am 8w today and have been suffering with bad nausea although not actually being sick. It's from the moment I wake in waves throughout the day until bed. I found in my previous pregnancies that eating little and often helps but I never felt this bad before. I have gone off tea BrewShock

Also feeling mega bloated all the time! Gah what a moaner I am lol

I have my booking in app with mw this Thursday and also got a letter re dating scan so I'll be booking that at some point.

Hope everyone is coping with nausea ok xx

Turquoisetamborine · 28/09/2014 09:29

I always get the flu jab as I have asthma apart from one terrible year when I forgot and spent the whole of Xmas so ill I could hardly get up.

They gave me my flu jab at the booking in appointment on Thursday. At least it's out of the way.

SmileyScooby · 28/09/2014 09:52

Morning all,
Hugs to those who have had bad news :( thinking of you x

Welcome to newcomers :)

Haven't posted in a few days but still no ms (dunno if that's good or bad as read somewhere it is a sung things are progressing well?) still got constipation, slightly sore boobs and tired. Currently 7+3...and have put on 2lbs...but haven't been over eating.

Although I haven't been to the gym so maybe that is why...am worried if I overdo it in the gym. Normally do treadmill for 15, cross trainer for 10 and either bike or rower for 10, then do some squats and presses on the trx machine...anyone here still exercising at the gym and can advise me?

Had flu jab through work this week, arm still hurts :( they started doing it a couple of years ago so saves me having to go to drs for it :) although I did ask if work sees the form I had to fill in before I had it as haven't said I'm pg yet and they don't phew!! The nurse said that it used to be the thing to not give it to pg women but aparently they insist on it now.

Tits hope sofa comes early for you, I remember that situation when we moved house as chucked our old one as was proper old, new one should have been with us on day after move day but they had messed up order so we had 2 weeks with no sofas on laminate floor!!

SmileyScooby · 28/09/2014 10:14

Thanks Tori! I'm not fit either was going as need to lose weight (that's not gonna happen now is it?!) am hoping to force myself to go at least once this week as think it may help with my lethargy! Work has been so busy so by the time I've left I'm knackered and just want to crash on the sofa.

Christelle2207 · 28/09/2014 10:22

smiley keep on exercising as much as you can, although its important not to overdo it, doing what you usually do is fine.
I am a runner and still running ATM. Last time I did a 10mile race when 5w PG and ran and did bodypump till 22ish weeks when pgp got the better of me. I have friends who ran until almost the end-wouldnt necessarily recommend that. Being fit is supposed to mean quicker labour but that wasn't true for me last time-40h! I went for a run last night and felt great but feeling super rough this am.

jazzyjenbo · 28/09/2014 10:45

Morning all,
I'm with you Tori on the not getting the flu jab business... I've not had it in any of my 3 previous pregnancies (was pregnant over winter each time) and will not have it this time. I'm not in any other 'at risk' category and like you don't want to introduce anything into my system with could interfere.
As for the whooping cough one, i need to do sum research on this. I didn't have it with ds or dd (wasnt offered) so i dont know much about the pros and cons etc, dont get me wrong i am not one of those ppl against vaccinations but i need to know all the facts before i go along with them.

TinyDancer01 · 28/09/2014 11:11

Morning All,

Hope you are all having nice weekends minus the pg symptoms! I started feeling really sick yesterday but i was weirdly happy about it as hopefully that means its all going as planned in my tum!

Wildones - I have the worst back ache too. went to bed super early last night as it was more comfortable to lay flat, didn't mind as there was sweet fa on the TV last night!

Winnie - I'm super bloated at the moment as well, my normal jeans are painful to wear

i had also been going to the gym in an effort to loose weight as the Dr said thats why we couldn't conceive. Been too worried about going back since i found out, didn't want to risk anything till i know all is well at 12 weeks. Been going for lots of walks with the dogs though and been really good with my eating. Even managed to kick my diet coke habit!

We got a puppy three weeks ago before we knew i was pg and he is a little monkey, chewing everything in sight and peeing all over the house, the dog we already had isn't getting on very well with him either. I'd like to sit down and rest today but i'm acting as referee to them both at the moment!

Titsalinabumsquash · 28/09/2014 12:01

I lost 2 stone before falling pregnant Confused I was hoping for at least another half but oh well.

Mine was all diet, I have Elthers Danlos and my joints are shot to pieces, I can't do any exercise. Sad

My booking apt is on Friday and then I see the consultant on the 13th! I'm terrified, she's the top dog of the obstetric world where I am but she wasn't very nice to me last time when things got hairy.
In going to speak to the midwife and tell her about wanting a c-section then request one with the consultant, if she flat out refuses I'll be asking to have someone else straight away.

SmileyScooby · 28/09/2014 12:21

Thanks ladies for the advise re exercise, have been going for a 15 min walk around the block with DH very other day and am on my feet all day. Well done tits for losing 2st! I lost 1st but still classed as 'obese' am 5ft 7 and 14.5st. As long as I can remember I've never been in the 'healthy weight' category and think the smallest I've ever bought jeans was a size 16 (even when I was at school!) I have always enjoyed sport and played loads before I started working.

Sorry if tmi but just realised I haven't done a number 2 for a couple of days now and just saw an advert for activia yogurt...you know the one with the bifadidigestium or whatever they call it...can we have that when pg?

Anyone else here also 7w and no ms? Am worried that something might be wrong as not happening and all 'symptoms' based searches come up saying should have it.

tiny I hope your four legged critters behave themselves so you can relax :) it's a lovely day here contemplating a walk but it's quite warm so gonna wait until cooler later on.

BB01 · 28/09/2014 12:26

Ah am envious of those managing to keep exercising! I was running a lot before my last pregnancy then after time out the first couple of months due to feeling awful I managed to pick it up again and carried on til about twenty five weeks. It felt fine for me and really helped me relax. But so far this time I feel so wretched in the evening I can't imagine how I'll carry on esp as I'd been slacking a lot on the exercise front recently!

I think I'll have the flu jab unless I read any evidence against it. I had flu right at the start of my last pregnancy when it was too early for the jab and I was very ill and it took weeks to recover. I know it can potentially dangerous for the baby (theoretically maybe the jab could be too but don't think there is evidence to suggest it is though could be wrong) and I've now had it three times so seem to be susceptible!

I've suddenly got my appetite back the past few days. I feel so much better. Though still headed for bed at 8pm last night despite being away visiting my sister!

Hope everyone else is ok and not suffering too much through symptoms or worried re lack of them!
It seems lots of people are going for early scans. I can see it could be reassuring. I think I'll hold off as I'd probably start wanting to get one every week!

jazzyjenbo · 28/09/2014 12:26

Fluff... I hav a female and male cat, the female is all over me atm, she is not a sociable one and rarely comes for cuddles. She was the same last time.

Turquoisetamborine · 28/09/2014 14:57

Scooby I'm 7+2 and no sickness. I'm not worried as I didn't have it last pregnancy either and everything was fine. I suppose we are just the lucky ones! I can't abide being sick and don't know how I would get myself ready for work and get son out to school if I was being sick so just as well.
I have plenty of other symptoms so not worried. I can't wait for my scan on Tuesday though.

BeanCalledPickle · 28/09/2014 16:37

Scan today at 8+1. Accordingly to LMP it is 8+3 but I ovulate late so I expected it to go back a couple of days. Exciting!
