Sorry, July 2013!!

TinyDancer01 · 24/09/2014 12:17

Hi All ??
I've been lurking for awhile but thought I'd be brave and say hi!!

Due on the 27th May. It will be my first baby but 2nd pregnancy. I had a mmc at 14 weeks last November so trying not to get too carried away incase something goes wrong. Have been TTC for 3 years so hoping this little one sticks!

Carid- CB test date from conception so you need to add on the 2 'bonus weeks' before you DTD so it would be correct for 5 weeks.

BeanCalledPickle · 24/09/2014 12:21

Hello Tiny, are you the same person that had the wedding decoration nightmare bride thread?! How I laughed. Welcome on board!

Justyouwaitandsee · 24/09/2014 13:09

I'm back from the midwife! Booking in appt took all morning, especially as she couldn't get any blood so had to send me to the hospital clinic. She reckons my EDD is 1st May rather than my calculation of the 4th.

I leaked from both nipples very early in my first pregnancy, I ruined a few t - shirts with the fatty stuff. Totally forgot about that till someone up thread mentioned they had patches! Hope that's different this time!

I'm just back from work, I was boiling in the office, getting waves of nausea but not enough to hurl or to really confirm morning sickness. The bloating is the most annoying thing atm. I can't eat anything without puffing up to 4 months pregnant, didn't have this with DD1 so all a learning curve Angry

Hope everyone's day is going well, I'm too excited for bed time Grin

Kyz · 24/09/2014 14:50

Afternoon ladies :) Hope everyone is well? I rang the doctors yesterday and have to go tomorrow for an appt to confirm i'm pregnant. I can't remember doing this the first time, but hey ho! I have also had to ring the dentist and get them to make sure they keep quiet to my mum! Me, my mum, my ds and my sister have an appt tomorrow morning, was easier to just get one all at once, and I didn't want to tell anyone yet. The appt was made before I found out.

Trying to think of ways to tell everyone, and wondering when is the best time to. I wondered if an 'i'm going to be a big brother t-shirt' for my ds would be a good idea :)

Hi costa nice to see you :) I'm preferring to wear my bigger jeans etc, if that counts? I had lost 9lbs and people had noticed so now i'm just waiting for them to notice that it's all going back on again!

welcome to all the newbies! :D

I've been having trouble sleeping too! I remember from being pregnant with DS I slept ok in the middle but the beginning and end were terrible as far as sleep goes! I feel shattered and go to bed early to get an early night, and then end up finally falling asleep only to wake up in the early hours!

I've no idea how much i've gained ellstor i'll check later

woohoo bubalou :D hiiii!

2preteen I am enjoying marmite on toast too atm, and I did last time! My first cravings last time though were for beetroot and pickled onions, by the jar full

This bloated feeling is horrible, you all have my sympathies, it's driving me nuts

lol mitchey i've never had those mythical ab type things. Would love some one day but despite them being top of my xmas list people still insist on looking further down said list and getting me choklit.

glad all is well jenni

hope you're feeling better today cock?

have your stomach pains died down space?

mslad that link was brilliant!

scooby i've been a bit like that bowels wise

Gosh ladies remind me never to miss an evening of reading and posting, I'm way behind!

oh space :( as others have said, we're all happy for you! :D

glad booking in went ok justyouwait

glad you got your folic acid tori :)

Sorry if i've missed anything! Am also looking forward to bed time :) I'm also quite looking forward to tomorrow, feels like we'll be getting the ball rolling :)

Mitchey · 24/09/2014 16:16

I have the abs but I'm knackered if it makes any difference plus I have a big casting at the weekend so really need to buck myself up, lol

plinkyplonks · 24/09/2014 16:34

Afternoon all!

Welcome to all the newbies!

Saw the midwife today - she was lovely! I had blood test, blood pressure and Carbon monoxide test, got weighed, loads of questions re family medical history, etc. Got my pregnancy pack with all my hospital, maternity ward info, appointment structure etc. Also, got given my bounty folder, which contained a voucher to get a 'Mum to be' pack from either Asda, Superdrug, Boots etc. Picked up my pack from Boots - got some nice goodies in. Just awaiting my next scan in approx 3 weeks time. Really excited now :)

kittiker · 24/09/2014 16:42

The best tip I've found for constipation is to put your feet up on something when on the loo so your knees are bent up a bit. That, and fruit, has helped me loads.

Lots of nausea and a headache today but I'm a weirdo who finds the symptoms reassuring. I'm also in the 4 am wide awake club, which is quite rubbish.

There seems to be huge number of pregnancies just now due March / April / May. Must be the effect of the summer heat we had!

PS HariboBrenshnio I seem to have dropped off the list - Due 04/05, first baby

KittyVonCatsington · 24/09/2014 16:57

Bean ThT was TidyDancer with the Gluezilla thread-pure gold! Welcome and congratulations TinyDancer!

kyz - love the t-shirt idea announcement. I was just going to tell everyone when I see them after the dating scan at 12 weeks. My Mum and Dad have passed away so will be mainly my brother and sister and DH's family. Will definitely NOT do any Facebook announcements as in the year it took TTC, they regularly sent me over the edge until I came off it completely for a few months. Don't want to do that to anyone else.

Can't wait to get my goodies plinky Grin had blood tests etc. at the GP so midwife appoint. technically not until 4th Oct. What goodies were in the pack?

kittiker I second that tip! It's the only thing that helps my constipation pains when trying to go! I've been using toilet rolls to put my feet on. I've added you to the last list I posted a few pages ago but was too late for the first post. Sorry!

KittyVonCatsington · 24/09/2014 17:14

Realised that last line didn't make much sense kittiker! Every few pages or so, a new updated list will be posted by one of us. The lovely Haribo started the thread with the list that was up to date then but this list will always appear at the top of every page. As you joined us after the thread was started, you will only see your details when someone posts a list with the new additions on it. Does that make sense! Mumsnet has it's only little quirks and traditions Grin

Nothing too exciting, but free stuff is always good stuff!

Mine included:
Johnson baby wipes, baby oil, bath wash, mini guide to the first 10 days
Always pad samples
All bran red berry crunch sample
Palmer's Cocoa butter

Have you signed up to Emma's Diary? Any idea how to get the Argos vouchers - can't see any option to download them. Happy days!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 24/09/2014 17:37

Thank you so much for replying deftones, that's made me feel a bit less freakish if it is an actual thing (but at 6wks, wtf). It's not like I'm well endowed in that area....

speedbird17 · 24/09/2014 17:41

Pack sounds nicer than last time Smile Plinky - what is Emma's Diary (without wanting to sound completely thick!)? First appointment here is October 15th, will already be nearly 9 weeks so hope they fit in my dating scan in time! Last time my dating scan ended up being 13+1... Also the booking pack info said that they have stopped using the hospital I had my DD in so really hoping I can have this one there if I ask plead beg and cry I really don't want to have to travel into a packed city centre where parking is a nightmare when I can travel to a nice little local hospital half the distance in the other direction! Ahh dilemmas!!!

Royalsteph · 24/09/2014 17:42

plinky I have the emmas diary app. I went onto the vouchers tapped claim now and they were emailed to me to print out. they went into my junk box. hth

lotsoftoast · 24/09/2014 17:46

Just a word of warning before you hand over your details to Bounty or the like - search on here or Google 'Mumsnet Bounty'. At best you are signing yourself up to a lifetime of unstoppable junk mail as they sell your details to anyone and everyone, at worst, well, some of the stories will make you weep

kittiker · 24/09/2014 17:51

Thanks KittyVonCatsington, I get it now!

KittyVonCatsington · 24/09/2014 18:27

kittiker Grin

I'm not touching Bounty with a barge pole and they can sod off if they think they can hassle me post birth for a photo and my details. Thanks for pointing this out lotsoftoast Always helpful to have the March/ April ladies look out for us!

jazzyjenbo · 24/09/2014 19:00

I've never had trouble with bounty, joined the website ages ago and used to get development emails from them, but made sure i ticked the 'dont pass my details on bit'.. You dont hav to giv details to get the free packs but dont worry if u dont get 1, they are nothing to b overly excited about...

So all this talk of 'announcing pregnancy' has got me thinking of fab ways of doing it. There was a thread awhile back on this topic.

A friend did a fb announcement with ds and dd stood either side of a chalk board with the scan pic stuck on the top and message.... Roses are red, violets are blue, we have a secret to share with you...
I thought it was fab!..

This is how i'm going to do mine...
At our local sealife centre they have a turtle section that has 3 eggs lines up.. The 2 on either end are cracked and kids can sit in them. The muddle one is a whole egg and has a screen behind saying 'what will it be'.
Well i'm gona put my scan pic onto the egg.... But if i do this after 20 weeks u can get the screen to turn pink or blue.. So mite save this for my gender announcement. (Thinking positive, this one will stick!!)

Quinandthem · 24/09/2014 20:43

BB01 I'm from July 2013.

My dd is now 14 months as I'm guessing yours is.

LinaDee · 24/09/2014 21:04
Hmm

I know this is old news but I really wish these tummy pains would go away!! Feeling really down today.

Can't wait for my next scan on Friday to make sure my wee bub is doing ok ??

Turquoisetamborine · 24/09/2014 21:29

I'm having tummy pains tonight too Lina. It feels kind of like I'm constipated but I'm not and a cross between mild period pains. I've been checking and no blood but loads of cm. Sorry TMI!

I am not counting my chickens at all. I'm counting down the days til my 7 week scan on Tuesday.

I had none of this with my last pregnancy. It seems cruel to have it now. I feel like it's taunting me.

Turquoisetamborine · 24/09/2014 21:29

How far are you Lina? I'm 6+5.
