Done - please post details on March Mummies Stats thread. Then we can perhaps post the updated version at the beginning of each new thread so we don’t lose track of it.

PurplePest · 12/09/2014 12:32

Hello everyone and thanks persespolis123! Have posted my details on FB.

Sorry to hear all the sad news on the previous thread and hoping that those that are feeling pants start feeling better soon.

I have been so rubbish at keeping up with this thread for the last couple of weeks and it's taken forever to play catch up! But I am finally up to date!

I am starting to feel a little more human these days! No constant nausea (woohoo) - just now and again and gagging when I brush my teeth. Still exhausted but the morning headaches are getting less and less hurty. Think I'm starting to get heartburn though!

Well and truly comfy in my maternity skinny jeans and defo showing now. Felt a teeny tiny bubbly flutter a couple of times this week and that has made me smile! So exciting!

Got my 16 week appointment with the midwife on Monday. The 20 week scan doesn't feel so far away now - 17th October!

coastergirl · 12/09/2014 12:37

Durham I'm so pleased you're being discharged. Fingers crossed the sickness is kept at bay now!

TakeMeUpTheNorthMountain · 12/09/2014 12:38

I'm still here, though I think I posted two threads ago! Scan went well. EDD of 15th March but will probably be brought in earlier due to planned section. Told ds who is v excited!

pinkandstripey · 12/09/2014 12:44

Hello shiny new thread :)

It was smokeandglitter who was owning the stats thread, I started it and then it got taken 'off board'. There was lots and lots and lots of people on it, it might be worth a pm to smokeandglitter rather than starting again? Just my 2p worth...

Hope everyone is well, I had the worst nights sleep for a very very long time :(

fishfingerSarnies · 12/09/2014 13:05

Yay Durham glad your going home, fingers crossed you start to feel better soon.
I'm 13+ and was feeling much better though today I'm finding it hard to get off the sofa, my puppy had diarrhea this morning which didn't help my nausea! Sometimes I regret getting a puppy at the same time as trying for dc 2.
Still staying at my mums as can't cope with much but definitely doing better.
Lost my bank card yesterday that's the 3rd one in 2 months! What the hell, blaming pregnancy stupidity.
Hope everyone has a good sick free day 2nd trimester here we come!

persepolis123 · 12/09/2014 13:38

That's sweet takeme. How old is your DS? Mine is 2 in November so I'm going to hold off a few months before I tell him.

fishfinger Our dog was only a year old when DS was born and it was hard for a while until we got into a routine. It gets much easier though.

TakeMeUpTheNorthMountain · 12/09/2014 13:39

Ours will be 9 when the baby is born perse! Some age gap! He knew something was up but he never expected this!

Twittwooo · 12/09/2014 13:45

I was sick in the street today - how embarrassing! Luckily it was quiet but I daren't look behind to see if anyone was there. I was pushing DD in her buggy at the time. First time that's happened and I thought things were supposed to begin to improve at 12 weeks!

Butterpuff · 12/09/2014 14:14

Poor Twitt I was very close to that happening thanks to a bin lorry passing me the other day. But managed to escape it. Hope it passes soon.

theonewiththenoisychild · 12/09/2014 14:16

takeme im having a planned section this time too

twitt hope sickness goes away soon

durham glad you can go home Smile

i think im 12 weeks tomorrow by my edd. was hoping i would get some energy back soon but with double hormones i doubt it. feeling tired and miserable at the moment Sad

Twittwooo · 12/09/2014 14:21

theone, can I ask at what stage you agreed a planned section? My midwife told me I'd have to speak to a consultant because of an EMCS last time to discuss options, but I've no idea when this is likely to happen!

theonewiththenoisychild · 12/09/2014 14:34

twitt i dont have a choice this time as i have had 2 c sections. the first being an emergency and the second was elective at 13 days overdue as waited to go into labour naturally but didnt and induction adds extra risk of rupture. this time i wont be given the option of a vbac

arob100 · 12/09/2014 14:57

Anyone feeling a little non pregnant just now?

I'm really struggling with the ms away and only the occasional headache, to feel like everything's ok in there with baby. I mean I look pregnant, Christ I can barely fit into any of my normal clothes even my t shirts are to right now.

Just wish there was some way of knowing like a peep hole or something.

TakeMeUpTheNorthMountain · 12/09/2014 15:07

I was agreed a planned section at my booking in. I had an emergency section the last time, I have ra and a dislocated hip. Added to that the terrible care I got at a different hospital when I had my son, I have an aversion to internals and I discussed with the midwife.

She brought in the consultant but before she did, she said to be clear calm and confident and fight for what I want. I was so naive the last time, I'm glad I have MN this time.

persepolis123 · 12/09/2014 15:16

takeme aww I bet he is thrilled. Don't worry about the age gap, I was 8 when my brother is born and we have a very close relationship. Because there was such a big gap there was never any jealousy involved either, I just used to love helping my mum look after him.

Twittwooo · 12/09/2014 16:03

That's helpful theone and takeme, although I was planning to hear her advice and weigh up the pros and cons before making my mind up. Sounds like I need to have a clear idea of what I want before talking to her and I don't really know! That makes it a bit trickier - any advice?

lotsoftoast · 12/09/2014 16:14

twitt don't worry. They will go over the risks. Why did you have your emergency cs? Usually they will offer a vbac as your first option, as it's the safer of the two, but you are more than justified to request a elcs and they will be happy to comply. I know women who have had vbacs after 2/3/4 cs but these are v rare indeed

Thanks toast - baby just wasn't budging. I got to 9cm dilated, very slowly, and at that point nothing more was happening for ages so an emergency section it was. And, it was a really positive experience for me. They were brilliant and I was lucky to recover quickly.

theonewiththenoisychild · 12/09/2014 17:06

twitt i was desperate to have a vbac but had done a bit of digging online and decided that i wouldnt want to be induced because of added risks and the fact that i didnt dilate past 5cm in 26 hours with contractions 2 mins apart the whole time when i did get induced. which for 16 hours of that dd was in distress dd heart rate dropped to 56 at one point Sad my midwife at booking was pretty sure i wouldnt get even the chance of a vbac this time around. my advice is have a look at some information and decide what you think is best for you when you speak to the consultant he/she will listen if you have good reasons for your decision
