Felt OK this morning when I got up. Had meds and breakfast then 30 mins later promptly threw up in front of Dr...methinks i won't be going home today :-(

Hope everyone is fine and well today :-)

theonewiththenoisychild · 19/09/2014 09:19

oh no durham hope you feel better soon. and they let you go home Thanks must be so frustrating to not be able to do everyday things without being sick or the fear of being sick Sad

Lifeisabeach · 19/09/2014 09:34

Oh no Durham Sad Really hope you get home soon.

Scan day for me today, feeling sick and dreading it.

M27J5M · 19/09/2014 09:48

Sorry your still suffering Durham! Big hugs!

Can't see all these scan pics wvery1s putting up cos the crappy phone app doesn't let you see :/ I'll get on laptop and have a look later Smile

Welcome newbies and I hope the rest of you lovely ladies are all feeling good and keeping ok

DurhamRed · 19/09/2014 10:07

I stand corrected... Will be going home today, yay!! Still feel crap though. Wiil be nice to be in the comfort of my own home :-)

Gudgyx · 19/09/2014 10:21

Brilliant Durham, so glad you are finally getting home! Lets all keep everything crossed that you will be ok from now on

Butterpuff · 19/09/2014 10:36

Brilliant Durham always nicer to be at home if you can. Hoping this is your last trip in.

I'm all chirpy today, had MW appointment this morning, heard little bump's heart beat which was great, signed up for a couple of classes all very exciting. My BP is low, but apparently that is good as long as I don't move to fast and pass out Hmm

Next appointment is the 20 week scan on the 6th Oct. I cant wait 17 days and I will be half way there Shock

DurhamRed · 19/09/2014 10:44

Unfortunately consultant told me it is likely that I'll suffer hyperemesis throughout my pregnancy and that it is likely that I'll be admitted again each time my hg gets worse...joy! I am hoping that I have good spells in between so I can work. I've just been signed off work for a further 2 weeks so that makes it 12 weeks in total Sad

KeeperOfTheZoo · 19/09/2014 10:51

Sorry to hear that Durham - I guess all you can do is make the most of the "better" days and know that if you need them, the professionals are there when you need that extra bit of support via fluids. Do what you need to do to make you feel better Flowers.

Butterpuff · 19/09/2014 10:57

Oh no Durham was hoping for you that it would be just for the early bit. Really hope that the good spells get longer and you can make the most out of them. Flowers

Guntons · 19/09/2014 11:00

How weird - I'm 14 weeks & been very lucky with MS so far. A little nausea striking at any time of day up until now and then today - full-blown gut-wrenching dash to the loo...but no vomit. I was never actually sick during my last pregnancy & thought I was over any nausea this time around. Ah well, hope that's it now!

DurhamRed · 19/09/2014 11:05

Guntons I am so jealous, i'm 14 weeks too and have had nothing but nausea and sickness since week 3! I'm still holding out hope it will ease off soon.

theonewiththenoisychild · 19/09/2014 11:13

durham ive read it eases off by 20 weeks. i hope it does for you because it sounds awful.

Twittwooo · 19/09/2014 11:40

Sorry to hear you're still feeling awful durham - I thought my nausea had eased off yesterday but I have been sick 3 times in the last 24 hours, so I don't think it is. I'm really hoping this doesn't last the whole pregnancy. I'm considering going to the doctors but when I mentioned it at the beginning her ou advice was that it's a good sign for the pregnancy - I'm a bit worried about going back as I know things aren't as bad for me as some, and I should probably just put up with it!

DurhamRed · 19/09/2014 12:07

Go to your docs and ask for anti sickness meds. Something like prochlorperazine (stemetil) should help if you're being sick a few times a day. Keep going back if the sickness isn't getting better. Take a urine sample with you and get them to check for ketones, this is a sign of dehydration. Definitely don't worry about going back.. I've been back to my doc so often I swear they are planning in getting me my own chair in the waiting room :-)

theonewiththenoisychild · 19/09/2014 13:38

twitt i agree. go back to the docs my oh's niece didnt have hg but did have pretty bad ms and she got anti sickness meds that helped a lot

lotsoftoast · 19/09/2014 19:24

Sorry to hear so many are still suffering. I still feel sick at 15 weeks tomorrow - it's got to end some time right?

We were happy with the indyref results - I just hope everyone behaves tonight!

Scan was all good, very wriggly little one so it took a while to get the nuchal measurement. It was 1.5mm which I think is good? Had bloods taken afterwards for the rest of the Downs screening. Due date put forward one day to 23/3/15, think that makes me due date buddies with Persepolis ?? Will update the stats list when I'm on the laptop.

Told DS and DD tonight who were very excited! Now to tell my mum and boss...

Twittwooo · 19/09/2014 20:36

Great news about your scan life! I hope you feel better soon toast - I'm really hoping mine has gone by 15 weeks! Although I might go to the doctors next week - thanks for those who offered advice. Not sure everyone is on their best behaviour in Glasgow tonight, very sadly.

theonewiththenoisychild · 19/09/2014 20:41

glad your scan went well life mine is a wriggler too and took a while to get the measurement it was 1.8 and she said that was low

Rainbow555 · 19/09/2014 21:21

I'm still sick and nausea too, woke in the night to pee and couldn't get back to sleep quick enough then the retching started, cue very sleepless night!

NotAQueef · 19/09/2014 22:15

Still nauseous and occasionally sick here 17w tomorrow! Getting slowly better ...

Guntons · 19/09/2014 22:30

Rainbow my mw told me nausea during the night is reflux & to have a ginger biscuit! Any excuse huh? Grin I've just found out I'm starting my new job on Monday (been waiting to get a start date for almost a month) any advice on telling new boss/colleagues I'm pregnant? I want to do it sooner rather than later (obviously not great timing but these things happen). I was self-employed when I had DS so didn't have to go through the process. Soooo excited about starting but a little anxious too...

Pinksun12 · 20/09/2014 05:43

guntons congratulations on your new job! I'm sort of in the same situation. Accepted a job in July before I knew I was pregnant and told them just a few days ago after having worked there for about two weeks. I told my two closest team members first to get some backing and then my boss. They were actually quite nice about it and even made some noises about being able to return (I'm on a contract so they don't have to do that) but I think it helped that they got to know me over the last two weeks. On the other hand I wanted to get it out there before I started showing and people started talking behind my back.
How far are you now? I guess I would wait a week maybe so that they can get to know you a little but difficult if you have a bump already. (I think in the uk there's a cut off date as well isn't there? As in you have to tell x weeks before the start of your mat leave?) And maybe have a clear idea in mind about what you want to do in terms of coming back in case they ask you. Other option is to tell straight away and play the honesty card, which I have good experience with in the past, however I found it difficult if you don't know people at all and can't tell their reaction. Anyway, good luck!

Pinksun12 · 20/09/2014 05:46

And regarding ms, I've been quite lucky so far, felt nauseous but only vomitted twice weeks ago, and yesterday at work I actually had to race to the toilets to be sick! 14 weeks tomorrow!
