Thanks everyone for you kind words of support. Feeling pretty fed up to be honest with you. Looks like meds won't/can't be changed as I'm on the strong stuff (and i've refused steroid treatment for now due to risks) so will continue with current meds and keep coming back to hospital when the sickness gets worse. Fingers crossed that hg eases off soon!

M27J5M · 17/09/2014 16:29

Notaqueef I'd defo get yourself a referral, doc told me if you've had it in past pregnancies your more likely to get it again!

Oh Durham I feel for you, hope the hosp gets you all tip top soon!

And to wvery1 who's had scans Smile glad all has went well Smile

HollyBen · 17/09/2014 16:31

I feel for you durham I am so lucky to have never actually been sick through any pregnancy. I met a friend earlier who was sick almost every day throughout both her pregnancies. She was saying she's forgotten a lot of it already.

My 16 week apt is tomorrow. Expecting just blood pressure, sugar in urine type checks. MW did say at booking they no longer listen for heartbeat at 16 weeks here now. Surprised you don't have a 16 week check miffy. I am from the Kingdom originally and live just over the water now

ZebraZeebra · 17/09/2014 16:47

whohas wonderful attitude. DH and I both always said it almost didn't matter about the nuchal scan because we would always continue with the pregnancy, that Downs was not something we'd ever remotely consider to be the end of the world. Cannot wait to see your beautiful baby when they arrive :)

Durham you poor thing, this is so utterly shitty for you!! Hoping very much getting to four months eases things for you.

whohasnickedmyvodka · 17/09/2014 17:01

Thank you all for your kind words :) :) :) xx

Pinksun12 · 17/09/2014 18:56

Congratulations whohas! Beginning of a very exciting journey for you and your family!

Twittwooo · 17/09/2014 20:02

durham - I really feel you, such bad luck. I hope things improve soon. whohas - what a lovely thing to hear, you already have a special bond with your wonderful downs baby. What a great mum you are, and such a fortunate little one to have you.

Rainbow555 · 17/09/2014 20:06

Durham, sending anti sickness wishes and thoughts your way!

coastergirl · 17/09/2014 21:09

Panda I'm with you on the lack of appetite. It's a bit hit and miss with me, but I'm struggling a bit. Today I've had toast for all three meals and couldn't even finish my teatime toast. I needed to lose weight though so it's probably a blessing for me.

3isthemajicnumber · 17/09/2014 21:45

Me too with the food. I'm struggling to want to eat at all and have to force it down.
Congrats to all those who had scans today. So lovely to see all your pics.
I had 16 week appointment today and got to hear heartbeat. It was marvellous. Also faced some demons by taking ds. I feel a bit awkward taking a 9 month old to a midwife appointment but I better get used to it.

theonewiththenoisychild · 17/09/2014 23:15

Hope this works. Here is my scan picture Smile

Hello ladies. Please may I join? Congrats to all here and commiserations to the ladies still suffering from the dreaded MS. It's taken me until my 12 week scan to feel confident that this is actually real! DC1 due 17.3.15

Rainbow555 · 18/09/2014 07:58

Hi esme welcome! we are due date buddies!

Twittwooo · 18/09/2014 08:38

Welcome esme, great picture theone!

fishfingerSarnies · 18/09/2014 08:45

Hey esme I'm due same day too. Though hoping for c-section so may be a little earlier. Hope everyone has a good day sickness wise. I'm definitely feeling much better these days (even time I say that on here I have a bad day) I've been up north at my mums for a couple of weeks now so that I can have some help with my toddler. Heading home to London today to go it alone. My dh still away for another 2 months, he's going to miss the second scan too and is pretty gutted.
Though he went to both with my dd and one scan is pretty much the same as any other.
Have tried to explain to some people how shitty I feel about this baby, and every one has been pretty understanding. Might mention it to a midwife at my 16 week appointment.

theonewiththenoisychild · 18/09/2014 09:27

thanks twitt im so pleased that it all went well yesterday. i was nervous as was worried about the other sack. just been reading my notes it deffinatly says second gestational sack with a ring around it too. well this time its tiny and is on the posterior wall according to the notes. so i dont feel like its such a threat to the baby now. even tho i was told it was unlikely to threaten the "existing twin" i was still very nervous about it. i was told it was a twin but it probably didnt develop to an actual baby with heartbeat so im actually quite annoyed that a sonographer yeaterday who hasnt seen i but is speculating iyswim

lotsoftoast · 18/09/2014 10:40

Hello to the new faces, we have a fb group as well if you would like to join, just drop me a pm.

I feel absolutely awful today - I think it's part morning sickness, part indyref nerves!

Welcome Esme and congrats on the scan theone - loving that picture! Your little one looks like they're just chillin' out with their hands behind their head!! Grin

Last night was the first night that I haven't felt horribly sick from tea time onwards and been in bed by 9pm. Admittedly I did fall asleep and annoyingly miss the last 10 minutes of Our Zoo (which was obviously DH's fault for not poking me and waking me up...) but could this possibly be the beginning of the end of MS....? Not getting my hopes up but it's nice to dream!

EsmeGreene · 18/09/2014 12:50

Just thought I'd share my scan photo. I'm not ashamed to say I cried as I saw bub kicking and waving.

Twittwooo · 18/09/2014 15:51

Holly I am in Edinburgh too - quite a few Scottish mamas on here I think but you're the first (that I know of, through the FB page) in Edinburgh! x

Twittwooo · 18/09/2014 15:55

And I think tomorrow, whatever the result, I'll allow myself to have a small glass of something alcoholic and celebratory. I don't think the baby will mind, given the circumstances.

theonewiththenoisychild · 18/09/2014 17:33

urrrghhhh i feel so rubbish now. have done food shopping at 2 different supermarkets today. and then went shopping to town centre. on the plus side i do have 5 long tops, a maternity bra,a new jumper and a coat in a size up Smile . i have also ordered 2 pairs of maternity skinny jeans to be delivered tomorrow Grin ohhhh need to get a dress soon for our anniversary night out at the end of the month. which also happens to be oh's birthday. so we are going to watch a film i have wanted to watch for a while and then im taking oh for a meal Smile
