Thought we'd better start a new thread, how many more will we get through before babies arrive??

Hope you're doing ok on the ward slide and cj. I can't wait to get into hospital to get things moving along. I'm booked for a sweep at 38 weeks so not long now.
I really feel for all the teachers still working. How do you do it porcito ? At 36 weeks i can barely lift myself from the bed never mind teach a lesson!
Is anyone else experiencing loads of braxton hicks. I'm getting them about 8 times a day with period pain cramping. I doubt I'll go into labour though :)

i've been trying to listen to my relaxation CD every day now as its the only way I get decent sleep in the afternoon - can't remember who asked but my hypnobirthing teacher said that even if you fall asleep you'll still take it all in. Listened to mine leaning on ball the other day and heard sections I'd never heard before desipte doing it regularly!
Been reading Ina May Gaskin's book on natural childbirth and its a great way to help feel calmer about the birth - would def recommend to anyone wanting to pass the time on mat leave, lots of tips for helping labour progress...generally getting jiggy with it as much as possible, imaging things opening and 'letting your monkey do it' which I think is a great way to think of it :)
Decided to finish studying next friday when I'll be 38+1. So ready now, hopefully next time I'll be working with a regular routine and will remember to start slowing down using annual leave and definitely stop at 37!

Haha sorry guys they are a bit tasty! Easiest recipe I found and it's really quick to make up.
BabyB's movement has picked up over night so in feeling more relaxed about that now, no hospital visit for me today
they told me I need to lye on my left side now which is REALLY difficult for me as I'm such a fidget, I tried it last night but in was awake every hour with a really painful hip, needing to pee or heartburn. Really horrid night which isn't helped by this cold that's been lingering since last Monday.
I hope those who have been in hospital are able to come home soon xx

I only ever bother with just the one egg, I don't usually use the bicarb either and usually 1tablespoon/cookie is plenty!

Slide and CJ hang on in there, it must be pretty frustrating, not to mention dull as well, at least when we are in there with our babies we will have that as a distraction. Also thanks CJ for the tip about the jaw clenching, I had a rubbish restless and uncomfortable night and have a sore jaw from clenching it and grinding my teeth (a pre-preggo sometime habit), so giving my jaw a wiggle definitely feels better!!

Have feet like hams so having a rest today from housework and batch-cooking, going to dedicate myself to DVDs and shit telly. I think a nap will defo be in order as well. Was out last night, off out again tonight and will be out again tomorrow for most of the day, need to build up some energy!!

On left hand side MrsB - wedge a pillow under your bump, and another one between your knees - it really helps reduce pressure on the bladder!

Hope slide and excited are doing ok.

It's awful trying to sleep in hospital I think I managed 30 mins when I was admitted a few weeks back just too much going on in a 24 service. Felt awful the next morning. Hope you both manage to get some rest.
