catsofa - I am really looking forward to sitting out in the garden next spring and summer with a small person learning how the world works! As an extra bonus for me, as I'll be pregnant during Lent, giving up alcohol will be in place already and I won't be able to fast ;)

Lauren, I had rotten dreams last night and DH seemed to pick up on them... we had a slow morning as well.

Misty - have a wonderful time, and I hope you have a stress-free holiday!

Spacefem's site is brilliant and well worth trawling through for pregnancy kit - she's got something on how likely you are to hit your due date as well, if I remember correctly.

Hello everyone!

Had my early scan today! Grin everything is hunkydory, we saw the flickering heartbeat and even heard it. Very strong and she measured me at 8wks exactly which is only one day out from my estimatations. Feel very relieved, and with my midwife appt next week its all getting very real!

Im going to go back now and read back all of your updates, ive missed them all!

FizzyBubbly · 13/09/2014 15:01

Great news mswibble!

Got my scan date through today - 13th October so a whole month to wait yet Sad

dancestomyowntune · 13/09/2014 16:44

Good afternoon. My scan is at 9-15am on the 1st. Can't wait.

I am also looking forward to having a spring baby and being pregnant (but not too pregnant!) At Christmas. Dd1 was born exactly two weeks after Christmas and I spent the whole festive season panicking that I was about to go into Labour!

10w today

Lauren82000 · 13/09/2014 17:14

Last time I was pregnant at Christmas too DD was born end of May. So I just had this little bump and was dead jealous of my friend who just so happens to be DHs cousin so every family gathering she was there with her big bump. She was 3 months ahead of me I barely looked pregnant compared to her. Hmm

cinnamongreyhound · 13/09/2014 17:27

Have a fab time Misty414!

My midwife wished me luck for my scan BrixtonBunny Hmm and I can't book my 16 wks apt until after my scan. I lost a lot of weight with bfing but I know others who hung on to it too, I put it all back on as they dropped feeds though!!!

It rained the whole summer I was on maternity leave with ds1 Catsofa but I did enjoy being pregnant at Christmas. Just hoping this one won't be too close to ds1's birthday!!

Good news mswibble!

Been at the dinosaur park all day for ds2's birthday and my mum said I'm starting to show Shock pretty sure it's food as it's the top not bottom of my belly which is where baby is!

Hi all, morning sickness has ramped up a gear today. And to think yesterday morning I was fretting that my symptoms seemed to have disappeared. Go figure!

Pfft to losing weight breast feeding. I didn't put much weight on during my pregnancy last time, if anything I was eating slightly less than usual - but with breast feeding I was permanently STARVING and desperate to consume as many calories as possible. I've put on a ton of weight since Hmm

My scan is on 9th October, feels. Like ages away.

Hi everyone. I'm back from holiday and feeling exhausted! We drove home at 8ish last night so didn't get to sleep until around 4am this morning and was up around 10.. Deffo not enough for me! X-factor and early night for me as I'm back to work tomorrow..boo!

On a happy note, came home to my scan date (23rd September) my 16 week appt date, and a letter saying I don't have chlamydia...yay! Grin

sazzle82G · 13/09/2014 20:44

Thanks bananatoast. I like that stats link. Might have to look at that each day to watch my percentage go down.

4 weeks today since I found out I was pregnant. Can't believe it'll probably be another 4 weeks till my scan. Oh man! You have to be patient to be preggers! mswibble I'm so jealous of your early scan. It must be so reassuring to hear that heartbeat. Smile

FizzyBubbly · 13/09/2014 21:05

Ha ha! It's always good to know one doesn't have chlamydia LadyNovember! GrinGrinGrin

Lauren82000 · 14/09/2014 07:22

Has anyone had any inklings of wether they are having a boy or girl yet?

I reckon I'm having another girl, apart from a couple of days that I've been a bit green I'm pretty much having exactly the same pregnancy symptoms as I had with DD.

LadyNovember · 14/09/2014 08:46

I thought boy because I'm drawn to boy clothes, decor etc (when I normally wouldn't be) but I am literally so spotty right now that it hurts! So maybe a girl stealing my beauty haha..who knows..I don't actually care either way - do you want a boy since you have DD or not bothered? X

I'm less sick and less tired this time but I'm considerably smaller and fitter so I don't know if that helps. Dh has three boys so I'm kind of expecting another as he obviously is good at producing them! In some ways I'd like a girl but in others I'd like a boy. Just happy with the chance to have another baby really :)

OP posts:
BananaToast · 14/09/2014 09:53

I don't really mind either way but think it's more likely to be a boy as I know we'll struggle more with boys names than we would with a girl. I also haven't been feeling that nauseous which makes me think it's more likely to be a boy. To be honest, I find it a bit hard to believe it's going to be either a boy or a girl - at the moment it is just a baby and it's sort of amazing it will ever be a real person!

Lauren82000 · 14/09/2014 10:03

I'd love to have a boy just to break the girl streak in this generation. The last 7 babies have all been girls. I admit to being a bit disappointed when DD turned out to be a girl. Then again I wouldn't know what to do with a boy. I'd be happy with whatever I get but doesn't stop you having a preference for one or the other. DD has her order in for a baby sister she tells me regularly. Smile

cinnamongreyhound · 14/09/2014 10:15

I cried when I found out ds1 was a boy, I think I'd convinced myself he was a girl as all the women in my family have had girls first! My mum wasn't sick with me but was with my brother.

Boys have a natural barrier for poo Lauren82000 which is handy!! Otherwise as babies they're pretty much the same :) I feel the same about girls, although I've minded girls the youngest one I've had was 6months so never had a tiny girl!

Ahh yes thanks for reminding me about shitty nappies Confused I was trying not to think about those yet.

JaneyTea · 14/09/2014 10:50

squatting yay! Keep going, it'll click at some point. That said, granny squares are the only thing I can actually crochet. I'm sitting here still in my pjs, knitting a cardigan for my friend's baby. Feel awful today Sad

Had a slight meltdown yesterday. DP and I were looking at new bathroom suites and thought we'd pop into mothercare, (just because we were passing, not to buy anything). It made me feel hugely overwhelmed, so much I just don't have a clue about.

Wineandchoccy · 14/09/2014 10:52

Hi everyone I'm back from my holiday, we only went to North Wales but had no 3G signal at the caravan site so I've got lots of pages to catch up on.

Back to work tomorrow and I'm not looking forward to it because I am so tired and have had a little nap every afternoon on holiday.

My scan is on the 3rd October which seems forever away.

For those that are having a go at crocheting how cute is the hungry caterpillar hat in the photo? Grin

OVER HERE!!! Due April 2015
FizzyBubbly · 14/09/2014 11:00

So far I feel exactly the same as I did with DD except my skin hasn't erupted (yet) so maybe the old wives tale about girls stealing their mothers looks is true and we're having a boy? DH really wants a boy but I'm not bothered. Think it's nice for the parents to have one of each, but nice for the DCs if they're both boys/girls.

Who's finding out the sex? We didn't with DD and absolutely everyone was convinced we were having a boy. Even at our 20wk scan the sonographer kept referring to baby as 'he' despite us saying we didn't want to know which convinced us too. So we were very shocked when out popped a girl! Think we'll find out this time purely because we'll know if we can get rid of DDs old baby clothes or not

Lauren82000 · 14/09/2014 11:01

Am I the only one still waiting for a booking appointment? Everyone seems to have scan dates and everything and I'm still waiting just to see the mw

Siarie · 14/09/2014 11:08

Well I'm also back from holiday and my MS has returned. 7w 4d today and feeling crap! Also I didn't have any mail when I got in, so I have no idea when my booking appointment will be.

I was expecting to have a date by now! Never mind

cinnamongreyhound · 14/09/2014 11:34

We can help JaneyTea and you don't need half the stuff they try to sell you, trust me!!!

I've had my booking apt and got scan date Lauren82000.

We'll find out FizzyBubbly, mostly for practical reasons but I think it's nice to know. Helps you picture them and there's so much to find out when they're born I don't think it takes anything away from the birth. Dh wanted to know with ds1 and I didn't so sonographer offered to write it down and give it to dh at that point I found out too! He needed to know as he likes to plan and there's not much you can plan for with pregnancy/birth so that helped him. In some ways I'm glad as I got used to him being a boy but in others I wish I hadn't as I wouldn't have had that disappointment when he was in my arms that I had at the scan he'd have just been my baby (maybe!).
