Really sorry Wiggly, fingers crossed everything will happen again quickly for you. Take care Flowers

Phryn hoping it was just implantation bleeding for you - I will join you on the 10-day countdown. I've been having another look at dates today and think I'm due later than the GP estimated because I tend to have longer cycles and a shorter luteal phase than average. Really wish I was as far along as LMP would suggest!

PollyBirdy · 19/08/2014 12:24

Oh so sorry to hear that Wiggly, best of luck trying to catch another bus soon :)

banana you mentioned you'll be almost 6 weeks at your scan but weren't sure if you'll see a heartbeat. I was exactly the same last week, I thought I was 6 weeks exactly, but turns out I was only 5w+3d, but they still were able to easily see a heartbeat which I really wouldn't have expected so early. So you still have a great chance of seeing a heartbeat!

BananaToast · 19/08/2014 12:31

Oh that's good news Polly, I hope so! I reckon I'm 4+2 today so will be 5+5 at my scan. From what I've read online some people do see one that early but others don't and then go on to have a normal pregnancy so I will try not to stress if they can't find one!

LadyNovember · 19/08/2014 12:49

So sorry to hear your news Wiggly but pleased you are staying positive! it's very inspiring.

I'm the same BananaToast my LMP and the nurse when scheduling booking in app put me at 7 weeks today, but I'm 99% sure I'm 5+4. What a shame ha. Envy

lila35 · 19/08/2014 12:53

So sorry wriggly you sound like you are in a good place with the outcome, sounds like your support network is looking after you.

phryn Thats frustrating for you, another 10 days of waiting.

My scan went well, I have a squidge with a heartbeat measuring as it should 7+4, I was a ball of snot and tears but just relieved theres actually something there. JUst have to contact gp and midwife now, thats going to have to wait tho as surgerys closed :-(

Kelbells · 19/08/2014 13:03

So sorry to hear your news Wiggly, hope you've got some good support and hopefully see you on the pregnancy boards soon!!! Xx

BananaToast · 19/08/2014 13:04

Great news lila, must be such a relief!

Lavendercandles · 19/08/2014 13:07

Sorry to hear your news wiggly sending hugs. Well done for staying so positive.

I saw a heartbeat with DC1 at 5+5, hoping to get a scan next wk so hopefully will see something. I'm five wks tomorrow and feeling no symptoms yet which makes me slightly nervous, as I'm sure I was nauseas already at this stage last time. Trying to remember that every pregnancy is different. Can't wait for a scan though to put my mind at ease.

Kelbells · 19/08/2014 13:22

So I totally forgot about the vivid dreams in pregnancy! I had a very raunchy dream about Henry Cavill last night... I never dream... I can't wait for sleep tonight Wink

dancestomyowntune · 19/08/2014 13:31

Sorry to hear your news wiggly. Good luck in the future.

Someone way back asked if I had a scan today, no it's next Tuesday. Agony waiting, but when I phoned epu yesterday about the spotting they felt it was best to wait til next week so we have more of a chance of seeing a heartbeat. I do have a gp appointment tomorrow though for a bp review.

Lindalove · 19/08/2014 13:42

Phryn thanks for the book recommendation, that looks right up my street - can't bear all the non-evidence based rubbish out there.

Wiggly good luck for the future x

HippoPottyMouth I'll be 39 if/when I give birth - I'm not really bothered about being older as I'm fit and have a good home/job/am settled so think its the perfect time for me, but I will be interested to see how the 'system' of the NHS treats me differently if at all. I get that there are extra risks the older you get of course - already I have been offered a non-invasive Downs treatment by UCLH instead of the usual invasive (tummy needle) one.... I don't think that's an age related offer though, simply that UCLH are trialling a new test that has less risk of miscarriage, as invasive tests do. I would have gone with a full range of tests anyway despite risks as I need to know as much as possible, but that's my choice - I'll want to know baby's gender ahead of time too.

Lindalove · 19/08/2014 13:52

BTW if anyone is interested in monitoring their nutrition intake I've been using an app called MyFitnessPal - you can barcode scan the food you buy to eat or search for food and it shows you your nutritional intake and calories everyday. I don't normally recommend being too anal about food but am thinking its a good idea in at least early trimester to ensure you're getting the right mix of carbs/proteins etc - assuming you're not barfing everywhere of course! I really seem to struggle to eat enough calcium so am taking Osteocare tabs as well as Pregnacare.

Siarie · 19/08/2014 14:10

I'm using Myfitnesspal as well, but I've been using it for years now. Got my sickness bands on (not feeling sick yet just wanted to see what it feels like). They are cute and pink but pretty sure the PIL might notice I'm wearing them when I go on holiday in two weeks time with them!

Hmm has anyone tried B6? I have some in my pregnacare vitamins but I hear having more B6 can help with morning sickness?

bohoec · 19/08/2014 14:38

Cinnamon and Phryn your book recommendations may just have me eating my words. Both sound great, I may have to ignore my own advice and read up!

Someone earlier said no pregnancy is the same... I need to remember that too! Mine was very straightforward though, so I hope that doesn't mean this one will be difficult. Some of you have some incredible stories of your last pregnancies & births!

BitchPeas · 19/08/2014 15:17

Look after yourself wriggly Fx for you next month.

I'm 5+3 today, I feel absolutely shattered! I ache all over! My boobs are a lot more tender too and I feel a bit queasy but very full up, like I have just eaten a huge meal but I haven't, Only had a chicken wrap all day. Scan is two weeks tomorrow, still terrified and trying to get my anxiety under control.

Sorry for whining but I still haven't told anyone in RL so need to offload somewhere Smile

Hope you are all ok Brew Cake

cinnamongreyhound · 19/08/2014 15:22

That's great news lila35!

I had two really healthy pregnancies bohoec, once I stopped vomiting! Very mild SPD at the end with both but I worked comfortably to 38 weeks with ds1 and to the Friday and ds2 born Monday at 42 weeks. Kind of feel the same as you though, two healthy pregnancies would it be too much to expect a third.

cinnamongreyhound · 19/08/2014 15:24

X post BitchPeas, I'm not so tired this week and will be 7wks tomorrow and my boobs had stopped hurting but back again today.

laurenamium · 19/08/2014 15:49

Hey, can I join? I think I'm due around the last day in April. But haven't had it confirmed yet. And there isn't a may thread!

cinnamongreyhound · 19/08/2014 15:53

Congratulations laurenamiun, you're welcome to join us but you could also start your own may thread Grin. I was due 31st aug with ds2, I was late with ds1 and didn't want to be last hanging around so I joined September and he was two weeks late, so glad I did!

laurenamium · 19/08/2014 15:56

I think I'll hang out here until I get it confirmed by MW Grin not sure whether they'll go from last AF or the date after I had my coil out (after AF and bled for the day that day)

WigglyBraddins · 19/08/2014 16:12

Great news about your scan lila.

Phryn sending you lots of luck & love for the next 10 days & your next scan.

I'll pop back on & let you all know when I have my next BFP.

Xxx

roastpots · 19/08/2014 16:14

Hi everyone, I was away over the weekend so have just been catching up on all of the news.

Very sorry to hear your news wiggly but I hope that things work out well for you very soon.

Welcome to all of the new people! Seeing EDDs towards the end of April gives me a great sense that time is progressing (my EDD is 1st April).

I have my booking in appt this Friday and when I have my notes I will definite feel pregnant. Not that that is an issue here - have been feeling pretty rough - nausea and tiredness are the main culprits. Last time it eased off by 12 wks so I'm hoping I should start to feel better in about 4 weeks. Ugh - still seems like forever!
Thanks for the book recommendation squatting. It looks really good so I've ordered it. All of the crazy advice given to pregnant women on the basis on scant evidence really winds me up. We know from studies that staying calm and relaxed during pregnancy is definitely a good thing - so I don't know why everyone seems to be so keen on winding pregnant women up! (OK rant over...)
Both me and DH are 35, we've been together 7 years and married 2 and a half, and we live in Oxford (anyone else?)
Right, back to work (I'm finding it sooo hard to stay focussed and be productive - just want to crawl into bed and sleeeep!)

CareBearWithFangs · 19/08/2014 16:35

So sorry to hear you news wiggly, take care Thanks

I've added a few of the book suggestions to my amazon wishlist, but not buying anything until after we've had the nifty test and we know everything is ok.

Cisforcat · 19/08/2014 16:43

Sending you a big hug wiggly and hope you hop aboard another bus soon.

I have felt absolutely awful today. I was really sick at work and couldn't hack it so came home. Then slept for 2.5 hrs. Still feeling crap now and DH has gone to pick up DD. The tablets are obviously not doing their thing today and in having a bit of a panic. We r due to be moving next week- how in earth am I going to cope?!

I hope I start to feel better soon as I'm really struggling now. I'm 7+6 today so I hope this disappears sooner rather than later. I am so drained!

Hope everyone is doing better than I seem to be!! ( sorry for the selfish moan!)
