when i had my scan Misty they could see the implantation bleed that had caused me to panic and i was told to almost expect a bit more, but so far nothing. so i would try not to worry too much.

LadyNovember · 30/08/2014 11:14

I'm 7+2 as well Wine Grin we must be due date buddies..for now anyway..! I'm sure all our Edds will change at our scans! X

AnniaFausta · 30/08/2014 11:18

Thanks for the reassurance Bonjour and Cassie - it helps to know that this isn't abnormal, not least as I've been feeling a bit - well, not quite light-headed but unbalanced and a bit wobbly for the last couple of days and was wondering what on earth was going on. At least morning sickness hasn't kicked in yet (famous last words...) This morning I've woken up still feeling fuzzy and tired, but at least I can take it easy.

Wineandchoccy · 30/08/2014 11:21

ladyNovember just checked the stats your edd is the day after mine, the 17th is DH birthday and mine is 2 weeks later so it's going to be an expensive month!

DH due home from work at 2pm then we are both off for 2 weeks, woo hoo no work for a fortnight Grin we have hired a caravan in North Wales for a week so pray that the sunshine comes back.

The secret FB page sounds rather good actually. Im finding this new format quite hard to navigate on my phone, especially as you cant view 1000 posts at once, im always missing people!

Im 6+1 today and I think the nausea has finally hit. Its taken me half an hour to eat a bacon butty as each bite caused a wave of nausea. But I was starving so battled on. And my regular Saturday homemade latte (now decaff) with hazelnut has also made me a bit green!

BitchPeas · 30/08/2014 12:14

mswibble I've gone off lattes too, have been drinking hot chocolate instead which I've become a bit addicted too.

I went to boots and got the anti sickness bands this morning, they are amazing. My nausea has reduced by 90%. I can eat again and am a lot less grumpy.
I'm exactly 7 weeks today, scan is on Wednesday, it can't come quick enough, I'm still so anxious.

BananaToast · 30/08/2014 12:15

Misty I'm also having a bit of bleeding - it was worst a couple of hours after my scan yesterday so hoping that it might just have irritated my cervix but it's scary. I just want to fast forward through the next few weeks.

Hello! Can I join in? EDD is 2nd April, first baby, and we just had a private scan this morning and I am still in shock that there is actually someone in there!! They also said I'm about 5 days further on than I thought - is this definitely right or is it normal for the baby to measuring a bit ahead/behind at this stage?

Stuntman · 30/08/2014 15:54

It might be worth having a Facebook group so that we can post photos/videos and it would make it easier to follow conversations on a particular topic.

mswibble · 30/08/2014 16:12

My body sure does enjoy keeping me on my toes. As mad as it sounds this morning nausea actually reassured me. Now im getting brown CM when I go to the loo, not much but its there. No pain so im hoping its old blood from implantation.

My emotions are all over the place, I just want to hibernate until I can get a scan

cinnamongreyhound · 30/08/2014 16:22

Baby will get what it needs mamabear0315 it'll be you that's missing out in what you need. I lost 3 1/2st with ds1 and we were both fine :)

Between 11 and 14 weeks Rhiannon85, mostly for the nuchal screening to be accurate.

cinnamongreyhound · 30/08/2014 16:23

Argh posted too early, back to reading and I'll post more Blush

LadyNovember · 30/08/2014 16:23

Welcome marshpillow. Congrats on your scan :-) xx

mswibble · 30/08/2014 16:36

Wow cinnamon, 3 1/2 stone during your pregnancy? Thats amazing! If you dont mind me asking, how did you do it? Its yet another of my worries, piling on the weight and ending up a ridiculous size, which wouldnt be healthy for anyone. Im about 2stone overweight, Im 5'8 so carry it reasonably well but im definitely getting chipmunk-y in the face!

cinnamongreyhound · 30/08/2014 16:39

Me JeewhizzJen, I hate it too. I was irrationally irritated by everything and everyone this afternoon!

Congratulations Lionapril and marshpillow!

mswibble I couldn't even smell coffee with ds1 and 2 without vomiting and I'm already feeling nauseous with the smell of it this time. Try not to worry about the spotting, especially while it's brown and without cramps.

Try not to worry Misty414, you had some bleeding before and all was ok Thanks

Ran this morning but was really slow, felt better while out but terrible when back. I think I just get too calorie deficient and/or dehydrated as I'm finding it hard to drink at the moment anyway. Will try an evening run and see how that goes!

cinnamongreyhound · 30/08/2014 16:41

The 3 1/2st was between 5 and 13 weeks mswibble, not the whole pregnancy!!!! I was 15 1/2st when I got pregnant and was just sick so many times a day and when I did eat it was tiny amounts, didn't even cross my mind to go to the dr about it! I regained a reasonable amount of appetite but I was down to 13st two weeks after I have birth so didn't put much if it back on.

mswibble · 30/08/2014 16:52

Cinnamon - oh right! Haha! I will speak to the midwife when I have my appt on the 18th. I dont want to restrict myself and cause any damage but I really dont want to resemble Jabba in 7 months time! I think loosely following SW is recommended for those who need to watch their weight.

I gave up smoking the day I got my BFP, and drinking, obviously so my two go to comforts for when im stressed and anxious are gone and im consoling myself with food instead!

Woodchiponthewall · 30/08/2014 16:56

Hi, after a few years of lurking I'm going to brave joining this thread. I am 5 weeks 6 days, EDD 26th April. I'm 30, OH is 36, live in Leeds and this will be our first baby. We were trying for a good few months, but had a 'break' in July as I was getting a bit fed up of the disappointment and how ttc is all consuming, and also as we have a wedding abroad in May (presumably not possible with a tiny baby). Lo and behold, Sod's law was invoked! I must've conceived either very early or late in my cycle (opk's always had it bang in middle) so am looking forward to dating scan.

Can I ask - what are people telling work about getting time off for booking in appointments etc? Mine is booked for the 10th, but the practice does not offer early/late appointments so I will have to take a couple of hours out of work (unusual/frowned upon in my profession). I don't want to tell anyone so soon but may have to!

mswibble · 30/08/2014 17:06

I dont think you should feel pressurised into telling work earlier than you feel comfortable. Is there no way you can take a day/half days leave? Though you should be allowed time off for medical appts anyway, without an interrogation!

I wont be telling work until I'm well into the 2nd trimester. I hate my job and my bosses are prize pricks. Cant bear the thought of them knowing my private business if anything goes wrong.

mswibble · 30/08/2014 17:07

And congrats Woodchip and Marshpillow! Smile

cinnamongreyhound · 30/08/2014 17:10

It's really tough I think mswibble, especially if food is your comfort!! I gained all weight I lost in both pregnancies but just over 3 years ago I decided is had enough! I lost 5 1/2st in 8 months and have maintained that weight for 2 years. I don't want to gain the weight back while pregnant but I feel I have a healthier relationship with food now and I'm not planning to eat lots because I'm pregnant. So far I've lost 5lbs just from not wanting to eat but there's loads of time to go. Just near in mind you only need 500 extra calories in the third trimester. I lost my weight by monitoring what I was eating with myfitnesspal so that may be worth trying just to see how much you're eating rather than cutting back, you can add calories for bf on it so may be able to for pregnancy too.

cinnamongreyhound · 30/08/2014 17:13

Congratulations woodchiponthewall, I'd just say it was a dr appointment and leave it at that. You'll have a booking appt then scan and if I remember rightly mw at 16, 24, 28, 32, 36, 38 and 40 weeks and your anomaly scan at 20 weeks.
