cinnamongreyhound · 27/08/2014 21:17

So sorry to hear your news StopEatingThatMud! Please come back and let us know when you get your bfp. Enjoy your wine Thanks

I've been out all day and got so behind and I'm on my phone and really am not emotionally strong enough to go back and forth checking who wrote what so I'm sorry!!

Sorry for those with spotting and thinking of all those with early scans soon.

Wrt dating I'm pretty sure I ov'd on day 12 so that's what I'm basing edd on. Had both dates adjusted with ds1 and ds2 but paid no attention to when I ov so will be interesting to see.

So today I started feeling awful and very sorry for myself! Fed up of struggling through each day of our holiday and no idea how I'll cope when I have to get up at 6.30 next week.

Then had a lovely day where I felt not too bad.

Followed by my little dog eating dh's bait and hook and trip to vet for injections and back for surgery tomorrow :( feeling very sad and wondering how we'll pay for it. Which then triggered a conversation that we shouldn't be having another baby and dh has no idea how we'll cope! Feeling totally shitty right now, especially as he's blaming me for her eating it :(

HippoPottyMouth · 27/08/2014 21:20

Very sorry to hear that, mud :(

To those of you stressing about the clearblue "dating" tests - all they do is judge the strength of the line for you, they are not at all accurate, please don't worry about them (or waste any more money on them!)
They don't test anything different to other pregnancy tests, so if you want reassurance just buy the cheapie dipstick ones off eBay and spend the difference on something nice!

FizzyBubbly · 27/08/2014 21:37

So sorry to hear your news Mud Thanks and what a crappy way of finding out. Wishing you all the best for the future

Phryn I hope the scandal of GBBO did the trick of taking your mind off things!

With regards to working out EDDs, I know I ovulated on CD17 but until now I've gone by LMP simply because it makes me 3 days further on that what I am - feel such a fraud! Want it to be as far away from May as possible as it's DDs birthday on 5th May so they're gonna be really close which we didn't want. Shall suck it up and see how my new EDD of 27th April compares to scan dates.

Cookiepants87 · 27/08/2014 22:10

Fizzy I used the nhs calculator that the GP used and worked out (quite a while of counting days / dates) that as it doesn't show days, I measured at 4 weeks today (pretty sure I'm 4+6 as EDD is 4 days more than what I originally thought) but tomorrow I will be 5weeks Grin (I'm 95% sure but will update once I try it again tomorrow) EDD still30th April so I'm right on the cusp of this group ThanksEnvy

I also received my bounty pack which I've been going through this evening! Exciting stuff! Xx

BananaToast · 28/08/2014 07:22

Just did the second Clearblue digi in my pack (I know, I know, but I wasn't going to waste it) and got a 3+ with FMU so am feeling reassured. Promise I'll stop peeing on sticks now!

Hope you and your dog are feeling ok this morning cinnamon Thanks

cinnamongreyhound · 28/08/2014 07:24

Thanks BananaToast! Dh has calmed down now, we're off to the vet to have it removed in about half an hour, she seems fine this morning.

Cookiepants87 · 28/08/2014 07:46

Haha bananatoast! If peeing on a stick reassures you... Then pee away lol! X

Cinnamon glad to hear your dog is ok now, pets can be bloody scary sometimes!

I did the nhs calculator this morning and I can now officially say I'm 5weeks! So when I go for my booking in appointment I'll be 7weeks 6 days! That seems forever away!! Confused Looked through my pack last night at all the cool stuff you get!! I tried to not get too excited but it didn't work lol! Grin DH is excited too however he doesn't want to show it as he thinks it'll jinx everything. It's not really been talked about much in our house, feels like it's a taboo Sad So glad I have you girlies on here to chat to! Xxx

dancestomyowntune · 28/08/2014 07:49

I'm 7+3 today and hoping that I won't have as much heartburn and indigestion today. I felt awful yesterday. Also thinking I may have to invest in a decent maternity bra as my blobs are still agony. I know symptoms are good but I'm struggling so much. Can't wait for second trimester when hopefully things will settle a bit! Not sleeping isn't helping either.

Thinking of everyone with spotting/scans.

dancestomyowntune · 28/08/2014 07:51

cookie my dh is more excited than me! Which I find hilarious because it took me nine months to convince him another baby was a good idea!!!!

minipie · 28/08/2014 08:28

Morning all

On holiday and trying to stay off MN but couldn't resist a sneaky peek.

mud very sorry to hear it hasn't worked out this time, hope all goes smoothly next time. phryn best of luck for your scan.

I'm now 8+4, been feeling grim since about 6 weeks so the time is passing very slowly...

BonjourMinou · 28/08/2014 08:51

Morning all.

So sorry to hear your news mud, and what an insensitive way to be told Angry

Come back and let us know when you get a BFP and enjoy your Wine in the meantime.

No real news this morning, but wanted to catch up. Thinking of you this morning, phryn. xxx

dancestomyowntune · 28/08/2014 10:03

midwife just rang... app next thursday! eek!!! that makes it seem more real Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 28/08/2014 10:17

Sorry to hear your blobs are sore dancestomyowntune, did make me smile Wink I have sore nipples but the rest of my boobs are fine, although a bit fuller I think.

I will be 9+5 at my booking apt cookiepants87, time is going super slowly!!

I just really want to tell my boys, they know we are trying so we talk about this imaginary baby that may come along one day but I so want to tell them mummy is pregnant. Think we've finally decided to take them to the dating scan as the letter said I can have one adult and my children but I wasn't sure we should. Ds1 will have to miss an hour or 2 of school but I think it's worth it :)

Got to wait until 3pm to call vets to see how my little lady is, can't believe how normal she seemed this morning though!

CatRen27 · 28/08/2014 10:17

Ah Mud I'm so sorry to hear that. What a way to break the news to you. Good luck in the coming months and come back to tell us when you're back on the bus.

Those who are worried about fresh blood - I had that the other day after a particularly straining no. 2 (sorry TMI!), and that was definitely the cause. This constipation in pregnancy is rubbish, isn't it? I feel like I can't ever get enough water into my system and the idea of eating green veg turns me right off these days (usually I kill for a bowl of broccoli and green beans but now - eugh!). Must we resort to prune juice??

Cookie what is in your Bounty pack?! And is that given to you at the booking appointment? I have no idea about these things.

I'm 8+1 today, with my booking appointment next Wednesday and the scan on Sep 15.

Felt so queasy this morning, but I saw others saying that tiredness makes it worse, and that's definitely the case for me. I was working until 10.30 last night and tried to get up at 6.30 - not enough zzzz for me. Working from home instead so had a lie in, which has done a world of good.

Hope you all have a great day today

cinnamongreyhound · 28/08/2014 10:21

I am 8+1 too CatRen27 but my scan is 2 weeks later than yours!!

CatRen27 · 28/08/2014 10:28

Cookie I should have had mine a week later (at least), but I'm on holiday then with a bunch of friends who I would like to be able to tell, so asked them to bring it a week early. I should be just 10+5 at that point, which is a little early but also my cycles were so messed up while we were TTC that I could be completely wrong on that. We'll see. I hope we really do have the same EDD!

CatRen27 · 28/08/2014 10:28

Argh I mean Cinnamon! Sorry!

peppercorn28 · 28/08/2014 10:53

Hi all,
just getting my daily panic ahhhh what if it's not all OK - and wondering how some of you are talking about scans at 7/8 weeks - is that done privately? I assumed first opportunity was 12 weeks?
When I initially went to my GP it was a v brief appointment and she said I'd get a letter at ten weeks or so. Just wish I had another appointment where they could feel or use stethoscope or something that would make me feel more relaxed, but not sure if I can ask for one..
I'm 28, btw, and my husband is the same.
