Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I'm 5w2 and feeling ok at the moment. Holding out before the nausea starts, think I was 6 or 7 weeks last time?

Lindalove · 22/08/2014 11:06

Okay massive phew so far. My viability scan showed one viable embryo, heartbeat at 166bpm, 15.4mm from crown to rump so my dates at 8wks tomorrow look right. I have a pic and saw the hb which was weird/cool.

Fetal Medicine Centre were great. They were running a bit late but I saw a lovely lady who gave me a tummy scan - as I'm skinny she could see everything she needed so no need for vaginal scan. I then got a print out report & 4 photos of basically a blob!

cinnamongreyhound · 22/08/2014 11:15

That's lovely LindaLove!

I was 5 wks with both my last pregnancies BananaToast, but this time was 6+1 so was starting to think I'd got away with it! I'm definitely better than with ds1 but not sure about ds2, probably slightly better too.

I did have a massive thirst but now I'm struggling to drink, the thought if fluid in my mouth makes me feel nauseous!

Twittwooo · 22/08/2014 11:16

That's great news Linda. Stop - we found a hypnobirthing practitioner locally. It's not cheap but from what I remember it wasn't hugely more expensive than NCT (which I think is a lot of money for what you get) so we opted for Hypnobirthing over NCT. I'm really glad we did, as I've met lots of local parents anyway and I suspect the social aspect is the main reason people do NCT.

Lindalove · 22/08/2014 11:21

Thanks cinnamon. I think my biggest relief is that there's only 1 as well as sizing being good (perhaps then me not being nauseous isn't affecting development then?). Husband is already terrified about 1, if they'd been more he'd have been in heart attack territory...

Just hope blob hangs in there now til my sept 22 scan at 12 weeks. Go blob.

StopEatingThatMud · 22/08/2014 11:22

Thanks twittwooo as we're not doing NCT this time round I reckon I could justify it if it's similar pricing.

Just had a small amount of pinky/browny stretchy (sorry) type cm. Should I be telling anyone medically?I guess at 5w2 its a bit of a wait and see what happens scenario? Trying to not panic. Have just done a (gentle!) spin class so wondering if maybe that's jiggled my bits around.

StopEatingThatMud · 22/08/2014 11:23

And congratulations linda ! Glad all ok :)

Siarie · 22/08/2014 11:25

Morning ladies,

I'm still in the Yay I don't feel really really sick phase at the moment. I'm around 4weeks and a few days but who really knows until the scan? I implanted really early so 4/5 dpo so it's had a little more time to get going and I can't see how that wouldn't push me forward slightly?

Anyway point being I'm feeling fine :D but I know that I'll start feeling rough around week 6 I expect. I'm on count down to holiday mode right now 7 days to go!

Sorry some of you are feeling horrid, but at least you have symptoms I generally feel just normal apart from the sore bbs and occasional wave of weak sickness.

FizzyBubbly · 22/08/2014 11:56

So pleased for you Lindalove, must be such a relief to see a heartbeat!

Been feeling so rubbish these last few days as 15mo DD has been so incredibly whiny, clingy and demanding that I've really snapped and shouted at her a few times. I know she can't help it (she's cut 5 teeth in the last fortnight) but she's driving me to tears. This morning I really shouted at her and immediately burst into tears, at which point she climbed onto my lap and lay there quietly for a good 5 minutes. Thought they aren't able to pick up on other peoples feelings yet at that age, but I guess that's not the case.

Starting to wonder how I'm going to cope with her plus morning sickness plus SPD if I get it again?

Sorry for a bit of a 'woe is me' post, hopefully someone else will lighten the mood!

cant wait for my scan on tuesday. pretty sure everything is going well in there at the moment and just want to see a hb!!!

dancestomyowntune · 22/08/2014 12:07

thats great Misty! did you see a hb? i had a trainee do my scan last week, and tbh i did think i saw movement (like a hb) but she didn't, so we'll wait and see on tuesday. they were very vague about dates!

I'm the same fizzy I have a 13 month old and am terrified about how I'm going to be able to cope being pregnant and looking after him. So much respect to all the ladies with lots of kiddies out there! I am pretty tired so finding it pretty trying at the moment, and scared as don't want to snap at him as he is so little and it won't do anyone any good! As a plus though he is an amazing distraction and has meant I haven't thought loads about the fact I am pregnant...it's all I could think about first time round!

Cookiepants87 · 22/08/2014 13:18

I'm so pleased for all you ladies who have had scans and things! It's so exciting! I've got a drs appt titles day and I'll mention the pregnancy to them then (after I do another hpt that morning to confirm I am still pregnant - I am so paranoid) and see what they say about booking midwife appts etc seems like I'll be waiting FOREVER as I'll only be 5 weeks on Sunday xx

Cookiepants87 · 22/08/2014 13:23

*tuesday lolGrin

lozzg82 · 22/08/2014 13:43

Hi - quick question. I have just collected my bounty pack from the GP reading for my booking in appointment on Tuesday - do we have to complete the notes booklet ourselves? Or does the midwife do that? I was expecting loads of forms to fill out but that was pretty much the only paperwork included.

Thanks everyone and sorry to hear so many of you feeling ill. I think I am about 7+6 today and still not a lot of symptoms, almost wish I was feeling ill too!

BitchPeas · 22/08/2014 14:47

I'm feeling really nauseous today but not actually been sick. Still exhausted but boobs hurt less unless I jab them, had a few cramps today and I'm finding swimming so hard and tiring. Keep getting out of breath just walking normally.

I'm going to do nct to meet other mums as I was very lonely after I has DS, also after the horrible birth with him id like to stay calm next time and my area is a bit crap for nhs ante natal classes.

I'm 5+ 6 and my nausea only started 3 days ago for the pp that asked!

Only 11 days till my scan Smile time is dragging!

Cake and Brew for all those that can stomach it.

chiliplant · 22/08/2014 15:31

Glad scans are going well. A massive relief for you all.
Still no symptom s for me. At 7+3 I was hoping for a few!!
This is so incredibly slow! X

BonjourMinou · 22/08/2014 15:33

Another one with no real symptoms other than the occasional bit of lightheadedness/dizziness - hoping the morning sickness will start soon, to reassure me! Of course then I'll moan all about it... My boobs don't even hurt because I'm still breastfeeding!
Must. Be. Patient.

Cookiepants87 · 22/08/2014 16:10

Really silly question, can u ask for scans earlier than 12 weeks as I thought the first scan you got was at 12 weeks? This is something I would definitely be interested in! Grin Xx

BonjourMinou · 22/08/2014 16:34

I don't know about elsewhere but in my area, only if there was a reason to warrant one. I did call and ask for an earlier one with my last pregnancy and got given quite short shrift "they won't scan before 12 weeks!" Or you can pay for a private scan, they're about £75. x

StopEatingThatMud · 22/08/2014 16:36

So pinky browness is now more pinky red, definite crampy pains and I did another cb digi which still shows 1-2 weeks, same as it did last Sunday but I date myself at 5w2 so think it should be showing 3-4 weeks.

Definitely feeling a bit wibbly.

BonjourMinou · 22/08/2014 16:37

Sad sorry to hear that, mud. Can you visit the hospital and ask them to check you out? xxx

BananaToast · 22/08/2014 17:13

Oh no Mud. Really hope everything's ok. I'd second seeing if you can get checked out. Thanks
