Just Shagging - Thread 11 for Graduated Viroids!

JuniDD · 17/08/2014 06:27

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 11th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 27th outing.

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, ask in-thread.

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

xyla men are shite but also the relaxedness can help stop panic. Mine always goes 'it'll be fine' which is annoying, but actually it usually is fine!

Love shopping, love cat revenge. My two are usually useful when I want to annoy Mr La! They are clingy and will sit on his head. Bit worried about them around baby.

My cats are my angels and I'm scared baby will really upset them but they're going to have to get used to it. One of mine is famous and quite a diva.

I can't wait to start shopping! I don't spend much on myself at all and don't like excess, but love hunting bargains. We did our house up like that - we would pick what we wanted then compete to see who could find it cheapest. I found out butler sink on freecycle! £500 new in shop.

We've already made list of what needs to be bought new and what we can get second hand

honeysucklejasmine · 06/09/2014 08:44

Bargain hunting is brilliant! Why pay more? Wink

We're going to get a Group 0-1+ car seat, partially because I'm not strong enough to carry the group 0 ones around, and also because it will last for ages and ages. Good value and better for us!

ZylaB · 06/09/2014 08:55

la I think most cats avoid babies for a while until they get used to them, I'm hoping ours will be ok eventually, the boys are pretty chilled out but our girl cat can be a bit uptight with changes so we'll have to make sure she gets lots of individual attention.

Apparently I read tin foil can be your best friend for keeping them out of Moses baskets and cots etc, I'm going to get ours ready few weeks before baby comes and cover them in tin foil, cats hate the noise and feel it makes so shouldn't jump onto them more than a couple of times - in a vague attempt to get them used to NOT sleeping on baby's stuff. Though our youngest loves crinkly stuff, so he may just play on it, we'll see, I'm going to try it though :)

ZylaB · 06/09/2014 08:57

And what's your cat famous for??? Omg celebrity!

FurryScoob · 06/09/2014 08:59

Morning viroids & congratulations to all the newbies.

zyla loving the cat revenge, it's amazing how much bed space a small fluff ball can take up!

I'm officially freeeeeee! Final day at work yesterday, my boss seemed very awkward being nice & saying good bye especially as she was surrounded by 20 other staff all giving me baby presents & saying we'll meet up outside of work. Looks like I'm not the evil cow my boss has made out I am for the last few months! Smile

wilmabedrock · 06/09/2014 09:32

Hurrah scoob! Well done on making it! Enjoy your mat leave before baby comes.

Honey be careful with those car seats. I remember when looking last time that a lot of them didn't come out great in safety tests for newborns. That was a couple of years ago now so there may have been improvements but just look into it before you buy. They get away with selling so much shit for babies that isn't safe or is bad for them. Makes me so annoyed.

Minion · 06/09/2014 09:45
