Mer so sorry to hear that. Take care of yourself, there is lots if support on mn if you need it, I found it got me through some worrying times.

junkfoodaddict · 08/08/2014 16:05

Mer93 So sorry to hear your news. Don't be scared to tell your boyfriend, or are you scared becase he'll be devastated. It's a worry on everyone's minds yet we ALL know that if it happens, it happens for a reason and nothing 'we' could have done to prevent it. Stay strong and don't give up. xxx

Went to my friends this afternoon. Ate: 3 slices of pizza, two mini sausage rolls, 2 mini cornish pasties, 2 mini sausages, a packet of salt and vinegar crisps, God knows how many millionnaire shortcakes, chocolate cornflake crispies and brownies I ate. Now feel sick.

I think today is a lull in the hormones because although my boobs are still sensitive and feel nauseous now and again, I don't feel too bad today. Just as well as Wednesday and Thursday were not good days!!

Marama · 08/08/2014 16:10

Mer 93 - I'm very sorry to hear that. I hope everything goes well when you talk to your boyfriend. Make sure you take care of yourself.

fishfingerSarnies · 08/08/2014 16:27

Sorry to hear that mer93 so sad.

Not had an early scan either foscar. Don't really see the point unless you are some one with a long history of mc, even then it wouldn't stop anything happening. So sorry for all the people we have lost along the way.
Feel bad for all my moaning about sickness and stuff.

Have been baking cakes all day for my daughter birthday party on Sunday, hot oven and ms really don't mix never want to see another cake again!

Time for a cool shower and some popcorn, my latest trick for the ms. The mixed bags of sweet and salt have been a life saver.

fishfingerSarnies · 08/08/2014 16:32

Just re-read my last post sounded like a bit of a twat... I meant that I don't see the point in early scabs for me but obviously for some people it will really help with feelings of anxiety.

M27J5M · 08/08/2014 17:01

Sorry to hear that mer93, big hugs

Sending you ((hugs)) and strength Mer93

I concur with tannyloo's sentiments regarding support on MN. It's where I parked myself for weeks seeking answers, comfort/solace and support. Take it easy and cuddle lots with your partner, it helps.

Foscar I've been having discharge too. Doc told me today it's a good symptom because a sign (how?) everything is clean and stable. he can say what he wants, but I'll still continue to obsessively panty-check every single second I feel something slightly wet/damp or different down there) TMI?? Blush
DTD: Don't worry...I read recently in a book it's healthy and safe, unless otherwise specifically stated by an MD. I say, "Enjoy it while we can" because I'm reading lots of threads from 3rd trimester moms who say, "Forget about it" due to size, overall body discomfort, etc.

junkfoodaddict · 08/08/2014 17:57

DTD I remember in my last pregnancy that my sex drive was as flat as a pancake right throughout. I distinctly remember trying in my third trimester and the logistics were too tricky.

Also feeling very wet down below and I too keep knicker checking. I have several friends who all had MC at 10-12 weeks so an early scan feels pointless in my opinion except to give reassurance at the time but knowing what happened to several of my friends, I think the reassurance for me would be short-lived. Taking every day as it comes and taking as much opportunity to sit and relax.

ZylaB · 08/08/2014 18:01

Interesting about not taking aspirin when pg, I know the only thing were allowed to take is paracetamol unless a doc says otherwise, but I've already been told I'm going onto aspirin at 12 weeks when I come off the folic acid. I think in certain groups, including type 1 diabetics, it can help reduce chances of pre-eclampsia or something, though I'm not 100% sure! I'll ask the doc when I go for my 12 week scan and report back :)

Sp1rals · 08/08/2014 18:13

foscar yes I had a scan but I'm in Ireland and I'm going private so it's probably a completely different system to the uk. I think if you're public here you don't get a scan until ridiculously late in the pregnancy.

Thiscantbetrue · 08/08/2014 18:22

So sorry Mer Thanks

m33r · 08/08/2014 18:28

Thanks junk and mrsa. Very reassuring I'm not the only one leaking or on knicker watch!

jumk am similarly minded re the early scans ... Today! I reserve the right to panic, change my mind, calm down, rationalise then change it back! This is such an emotional roller coaster!

FoscarC · 08/08/2014 18:34

mer I'm so sorry. Please don't worry about telling yor boyfriend. I'm sure he'll be very supportive (and if not that is bad!) and you need his love and hugs right now. Sending you hugs.

I have been DTD and is fine. It is scary to start with but I just took it slowly and gently and to be honest, it's amazing right now!!! Really amazing sex.

I also have loads of discharge. Apparently it's the cells all re laying and growing and this causes a lot of waste that gets sent out as creamy discharge. It's a good sign. For me I seem to get more discharge on days where I feel worse. It's almost like the more I'm growing baby and having more stuff happening the more hormones I must have. It's odd.

m33r · 08/08/2014 18:57

foscar funnily enough I was feeling awful when I had my leak today. So helpful of you to share - thanks. Now if I can shake the urge to run to the loo every two mins, I shall pounce on DH! Thanks again everyone.

Pinksun12 · 08/08/2014 19:25

Hello everyone!
Very late to the party I know but I've been quite hesitant in believing in this pregnancy and after another scan today I'm getting slightly more optimistic. I'm 8+2 today, due 18th March, but bleeding every single day since conception, atm it's more like brown discharge, but enough to wear sanitary towels. My doctor put me on medication today to stop the bleeding, so hopefully this will help.
Oh, and I've started training for a new job which will officially start 1st September and of course they don't know anything about it. Nightmare situation (when I accepted the j

Pinksun12 · 08/08/2014 19:27

Oops posted too soon

When I accepted the job I had no idea that I was pregnant, it was too early to know, but I'm getting slightly nervous about the 'confession'

FoscarC · 08/08/2014 19:37

Welcome pinksun and huge congrats on joining the club. I can imagine you must be nervous about the big reveal. I'm nervous enough and have worked here for 9 years. A friend of mine told our boss and his reaction was to push his wheelie chair that he was sat in violently away from his desk whilst shouting 'oh for fucks sake' so I'm not really that excited. That's our big boss though and he (clearly) is a bit of a knob and I only see him occasionally. My main day to day boss is awesome and I'm sure he'll be happy for us.

notoasthere · 08/08/2014 19:39

So sorry mer

I'm in bed already. Have been dry retching since about 4 so gave up and came to bed once ds was bathed. Got a whole day wedding tomorrow starting at 1130....it may be a long day

Pinksun12 · 08/08/2014 19:41

Thank you foscar

I don't even know people well enough to gauge their reaction. Thought about letting them know before my contract starts but with all this bleeding and a mc not so long ago I'm definitely waiting the 12 weeks out.

junkfoodaddict · 08/08/2014 19:54

Urgh. I am getting a new batch of hormones atm. I have been feeling okayish all day after two days of hell, Wednesday being a killer of a day, Thursday not so bad. These hormones are making me tired. I always seem to get stretching pains with them too. Hopefully not too bad tomorrow - we're car window shopping for DH car. I bought my car (Ford B-Max) the week we conceived and took it as an omen as my car previous was a 12 year old citroen saxo! Maybe window shopping for DH is another omen - twins???????

Lifeisabeach · 08/08/2014 20:15

So sorry to hear your sad news, Mer - I'd been wondering how you were getting on. Look after yourself x

Hi Pinksun12

Still feeling quite sick here, and eating constantly to stave off the nausea! Definitely nothing like as bad as some of you are experiencing though - I really feel for you.

Still nothing from the midwife, it's a week now since I phoned the GP surgery. Wondering whether I should call again, or whether the MW is just waiting til I'm further on to make contact?

junkfoodaddict · 08/08/2014 21:06

Lifeisabeach I'm not surprised nobody seems to know what to do in the early stages of pregnancy as it seems to differ everywhere.
I phoned my GP surgery and asked te Receptionist if I needed to see a GP before making contact with a MW or bypass the GP. She gave the number for the MW team; I rang them and within 6 day I had my booking in appointment (will be 8+3) and the paperwork I needed to fill in.

helly29 · 08/08/2014 21:23

Hi everyone! Another newbie here if it's ok to join? I've been lurking on the threads for a week or two, but only just feeling confident to post. Sorry to those who've suffered such sad losses, wishing you good things for you all.

Currently 7+4 by dates, but early scan due to cramps and bleeding for a week showed I'm three days ahead so 8 weeks! (and thankfully everything looks ok!). First pregnancy so all new to me!

Pretty exhausted: along with the bleeding stress of the last week, I've been at work for 12 days in a row and moved jobs, job deadlines looming, car broke down and the sickness has just kicked in! Looking forward to a weekend of doing as little as possible :-)

Fingers crossed for everyone waiting for news or just waiting to feel better! What are you all up to this weekend?

okeydonkey · 08/08/2014 21:27

Hi I'm expecting a surprise no2 march 2015. I think I'm 9+2. Want scan soon, hoping I get letter soon with date and it's in my 12th week. Feeling ok now just very tired, nausea gone.

Rainbow555 · 08/08/2014 22:03

So sorry mer take care

Welcome newbies!

I had a slightly better day yesterday nausea wise but extreme tiredness. Just lying here waiting to see what today will bring! Love weekends!
