so sorry mer hope you have lots of support Sad

theonewiththenoisychild · 08/08/2014 23:21

apart from having huge sore boulder boobs and being constantly hungry i have no symptoms. i keep thinking what if theres nothing there when i go for a scan and i end up looking like an idiot. the tests were positive (8 of them) but it still doesnt feel real in the absence of ms. anyone else feeling like this?

Mer93 · 09/08/2014 00:17

Just thought I'd clarify the boyfriend thing, I was only worried about telling him about my miscarriage because of how upset he'd get. He is amazingly supportive. I just knew that he would be devastated.
He took it alright and we will be fine.
Thanks everyone :) Good luck for the rest of you x

PickledPorcupine · 09/08/2014 00:24

So sorry Mer but glad to hear that you're supporting each other. Take care of yourselves xxx

coastergirl · 09/08/2014 00:38

Mer I'm so sorry. Glad to hear that you and your boyfriend are supporting each other.

Theone I feel like that too. I'm feeling nothing different other than my boobs are absolutely killing me! I am hungry a lot but don't seem to be able to eat that much, and I'm all over the place emotionally. But I'm not feeling sick in the slightest. Even though I had a scan at 5+4 due to spotting, I'm still paranoid that there will be nothing there at the next one.

Feel pretty stupid for feeling like that when there are others going through horrible things.

Pinksun12 · 09/08/2014 05:32

theone and coastergirl
I think that's what's so worrying about the first 12 weeks, everyone's pregnancy is so different (and this is my fourth (one was a mc) and i always have slightly different symptoms). To be honest I only calm down when I get to the stage when I feel the baby kicking and thankfully I always had well placed placentas where I could feel it early on.

eatscakefornoreasonwhatsoever · 09/08/2014 06:14

I can't wait to get to a sickness free stage. Last night I had horrid heartburn. Finally decided to take some gaviscon to help - big mistake. Instant and violent vomiting resulted. Ugh.

Dh taking toddler to the in laws today. Peace perfect peace - a whole day with no cbeebies or being jumped on! Huzzah. Nice for a change

MotherOfInsomniacToddlers · 09/08/2014 06:52

Theonewiththenoisychild, I had no ms at all with my second, in all honestly if I hadn't done a test I really wouldn't have had a clue I was pregnant for the first 3 months so don't worry. He's now a nearly 2yo. My first I had constant nausea but no vomiting and this one I'm the same. First was a girl , second a boy so wondering if the difference in ms can be a gender thing..... Anyone have any ideas?!

mariomadmum · 09/08/2014 06:59

some women just dont get morning sickness (lucky buggers lol) I read somewhere that if you havent experienced ms by week 6-7 you probably wont get it.

mother I'm not sure re sickness and gender, I only have the one ds (6) and I dont remember being this sick with him.. but then I may have just blocked it out lol.

anyone got any tips for sickness as soon as I wake up? its awful having nothing in my tummy to bring up.

FoscarC · 09/08/2014 07:51

Well I'm on the train into London for a course. It's all day today and tomorrow. And as is typical I just had the worst nights sleep last night. Just couldn't get to sleep then had really bad dreams. So woke up exhausted and feeling sick and generally in a bad mood. I really needed the weekend to rest and recuperate. No such luck.

theonewiththenoisychild · 09/08/2014 08:09

well nausia hit me this morning wierd as was only saying last night how i havent had any Grin little bean must be teaching me a lesson. i feel ok now but was lay in bed for over an hour feeling very green. wonder if it will stay or if it will come and go like it did with ds. i hope so i had it very early with dd from 4 weeks and it didnt go until she was born

ZebraZeebra · 09/08/2014 08:10

Ahhh so sorry to hear about choc and mer

Had an early scan on Wednesday and posted the pic in the FB group. Struggling so bad with MS and general pregnancy flakiness that I've completely forgotten to take the details back to GP/ante natal clinic to get booking in and 12 week scan sorted. 9+4 today. When will this sickness end?? It wasn't like this last time. Wah :( :(

pinkandstripey is so right about getting a rocking chair! Literally the best thing ever for cuddling tiny babies to sleep. DS is 21 months and hasn't let me hold him like a baby for a long time, more's the pity :( Why do they grow up so fast? He's still a baby in so many ways but now he cuddles sat up against me with his arms and legs around me. I can barely remember what it was like to hold him as a tiny - or, not so tiny baby at 9lb 6! - baby.

Sorry, waffling. I feel so sick, trying to distract myself. But DH and i had a lovely excited conversation thinking about who new baby will be, and how all last pregnancy...it was always DS, always going to be him, and how this baby will be like DS but not like him, and it's just lovely warm feelings all round :)

mariomadmum · 09/08/2014 08:37

whats the fb group? is there a fb group you are all on?

Thiscantbetrue · 09/08/2014 08:39
Envy
ZebraZeebra · 09/08/2014 09:17

mariomadmum yeah there's a private FB group - I think M27J5M set it up, though I could be wrong. God, my brain! Message her to see if she did and can add you?

Also, my hair seems to falling out. This isn't supposed to happen for seven more months, dammit!!

M27J5M · 09/08/2014 09:21

If you on me your email address mario I'll invite you to fb group :)

I sympathise with you all suffering ms, I seem to feel yucky now and again but not actually being sick at all, suppose I shouldn't complain but it's making me worry tho the huge swell in my tummy is putting me at ease

yay thanks Smile I told ds I would take him swimming today.. thats going to be interesting!

ZebraZeebra · 09/08/2014 09:48

DS has been sat in front of CBEEBIES for two hours. He doesn't care but I feel so bad! I just can't get myself together :(

m33r · 09/08/2014 10:03

zebra I'm not on fb but would love to see scan. Can you post on here?

eatscakefornoreasonwhatsoever · 09/08/2014 10:09

heh. zebra - that's pretty much all my DS has done for the last 3 weeks now. Feel horrible about it, but what can one do? Just be grateful for all-day childrens' scheduling really x

fourmonthstogo · 09/08/2014 10:27

I am so much more nauseous this time I really do wonder if the baby will be a boy, last time with dd I was only vaguely queasy a handful of times. I must admit that I had assumed this pregnancy would be as easy!

ApplebyMennym · 09/08/2014 11:36

Hi everyone!

Phoned the midwife back about the "pre booking" appointment she offered me on Tuesday, had to leave a message and she hasn't got back to me so I guess she's part time. Frustrating! Still feeling tired but not as sick as I have been. Though my folic acid seems to make it worse!

Rushing about like a mad thing today, husband and I are off for a few days holiday to celebrate our first wedding anniversary tomorrow. Been busy and feeling crap this week so hardly anything has been done, I just realised I am living in leggings and dresses at the moment and I have none clean!

Mer I am sorry to hear your bad news. It's a horrible time, I hope you and your partner can support each other through it. I sometimes feel my relationship with my husband (then boyfriend) got stronger after our m/c, I relied on him so much as it really knocked me for six, I lost a lot of blood in the hospital and passed out, he was petrified.

MyPandaisasecretmonster · 09/08/2014 14:02

I'm on this thread already but have had a name change (can't be true)

Are you allowed to dye your hair while pregnant ?

Marama · 09/08/2014 14:14

Hey Panda, I've been researching this too, and I think it's OK, but according the NHS many women in the first 12 weeks choose to use temporary rather than perm/semi-perm colour.

M27J5M · 09/08/2014 14:17

I'm a hairstylist panda and it's fine but some people become more sensitive to colour while preg so prefer to go for hilites so it doesn't actually touch the scalp at all,
