Wow, it's quiet round here tonight! You must all be off having fun lives and doing interesting things! While I sit refreshing various internet things :/

SassehMonsta · 14/08/2014 22:32

Also playing internet refreshing. Went to aquanatal, got there super early though! Night Chinese on way home, but forgot how spicy schezuan sauce is. Whole mouth on fire, oops. Took a soothing bath, now off to bed with the dog. Zzzzz

monkeybaby2 · 14/08/2014 22:46

I had a lovely 'thank you' posh afternoon tea with boss and two colleagues and then went for glass of vino with boss to bitch and giggle about how farcically shit work is. Vino was lovely but am paying for it with savage heartburn now though...and I might have accidentally eaten four pieces of cake...

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 14/08/2014 22:46

Damn it Sasseh, now I want Chinese. Morrisons had run out of jacket potatoes so I was rushed for a decision at the till and went for a portion of chips. I didn't want that!

Taura · 14/08/2014 22:56

Was a bit of a teary mess today - stress at work, then just things Not Being Quite Right at home, nothing obvious. DP brought home a massive windsurfer he's been keeping in storage since we moved (because We Have No Space for it), baby was kicking me repeatedly in tender bits of my anatomy and on it goes. 22+5 and feels like ages to go. MAT B1 submitted to HR today though and manager approved 5 weeks' holiday before mat leave, so not all grumpy.

CatFaceCrayola · 14/08/2014 22:56

I had an "empty various tins in to a pan" tea. It was ok, but not worth the killer heartburn!

I want toast, but probably a bad idea.

DH has gone to bed and I'm at a bit of a loss for what to do. Must. Not. Shop!

MrsW27 · 15/08/2014 03:11

gah! having a terrible nights sleep, tossing and turning and all sorts of thoughts whizzing round my head (not helped by DH making weird, irritating clicky noises with his jaw in his sleep!) I've given up and am now sat on the couch with my mumsnet guide to babies book.

We have our second attempt at a 20 week scan today (23 weeks) I think I must be more nervous than I thought I was Sad

freyaW2014 · 15/08/2014 05:57

Good luck mrsw Flowers

When do you get your mat b1 form? I had my 20 week scan but didn't get it?

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 15/08/2014 06:12

The midwife can do it after 20
weeks.

I went to bed very early last night as work was a horrible pile of crap. On one hand I have eople saying to take it easyand not stress and then on the otther the same people are piling work onto me and stressing me out. I wish I didnt need their crappy 6 weeks at 90 %

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 15/08/2014 06:13

Well done on the pram bargain Peace!!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 15/08/2014 06:56

I was woken up by stabby cervix pain and it won't go away :( give it a bloody rest in there!

LisaC2611 · 15/08/2014 07:09

Morning all, DH had just gone to work and has woken me up. Don't need to get up for another hour but know it's very unlikely that I will get back to sleep now gahh.

Am working from home today as the v-festival is on near us and they all get the train out so decided I didn't want to fight all the festival goers with their backpacks all over the seats and stay at home.

MrsW am sure the scan will be fine. We had our second attempt on Tuesday and apart from me not being able to see anything because they had me lying on my left side facing away from the monitor everything was fine. They did pretty much my entire scan in that position so they have ways of doing it especially as the baby is now that bit bigger. Good luck with it though.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 15/08/2014 07:10

Does anyone else's baby go quiet for a couple of days at a time? I felt her kick a couple times lSt night but other than that shes been much less active. Keep getting a stabbing pain in the centre of my abdomen too. Sad

LotsaTuddles · 15/08/2014 07:37

I've started getting proper kicks now.

Feel like I ran a marathon last night instead of going to bed last night and we've got three sky man coming to install the box and dish this morning so I've had to bloody get dressed.

Oops sorry Blush

SilverLinings2014 · 15/08/2014 08:13

Bighairy, I asked my midwife that question as small was freaking me out by having 2-3 very active days, then a couple of less active days. Mw said babies are so small at this gestation that, although they're moving just as much, they've probably moved into a position where they don't connect with your abdominal wall so you don't feel it. I was told to expect to feel regular movements by 26 weeks. That said, call the midwife if you're worried so they can check all is well...that's what they're there for after all.

Working from home today too, but my motivation level is zero and still declining. The list of things to do today is not inspiring me at all! Wish it was the weekend already.

23+6

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 15/08/2014 08:38

I'm the same BigHairy and Silver, total rave up one night, then nothing for days.

htbftm · 15/08/2014 09:41

Love the birth announcement Sasseh! Made me cry lol! What lovely mugs :-) I too have active days and non active days! She does seem to be more active when I eat chocolate, especially chocolate crispy crème doughnuts lol! :-D I did think in the night I should check when we should start counting kicks as mine still feel too irregular to count. Id worry myself sick if I tried that at the moment lol. Good luck with the 2nd 20wk scan MrsW! I had my second part on Monday, and it went fine! Meant I got to see my likkle princesses face more clearly! :-)

MrsW27 · 15/08/2014 09:53

Thanks ladies, I did manage to drift off to sleep at about 5:30 so at least I got about 4 hrs sleep - good practice for when my little man arrives Wink

I didn't really realise that I was nervous as we've had no indication of anything being wrong so I'm sure everything will be fine but then I've always been a worrier so I probably shouldn't be surprised Grin . Can't wait to see him again though, barely got to see anything at the last scan

Danibogs · 15/08/2014 10:26

Hello all, do you mind if I join? I'm a FTM due 22nd Dec. (21w4) I'd been avoiding forums as in my first 12 weeks I was getting freaked out reading about everything! Turns out I'm more of a worrier than I thought! I have a second 20 week scan next week too MrsW, but for me it's because baby's head was measuring small. They're confident it's a measurement error rather than anything being wrong, thank goodness, so not feeling too worried, and means I get to see bubs again :-) Good luck to you MrsW

Hope you all don't mind me joining at this lateish stage Smile

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 15/08/2014 10:30

Of course we don't mind Dani!

freyaW2014 · 15/08/2014 10:39

Bighairy I didn't feel baby move daily until about a week ago now it's about 6 times a day or more! If you're busy it's less noticeable though and baby sleeps because of all the movement. I'm 21 weeks

Danibogs · 15/08/2014 10:39

Thank you peace Smile

freyaW2014 · 15/08/2014 10:40

Welcome dani :)
