Hello, realised I haven't posted on the new thread yet. Don't have much to say. Four weeks of work left, feeling a bit unmotivated but what can you do? Fed up of the heat though as the air con is broken at work, and if it's 26 outside it's more like 30 degrees inside and my poor ankles can't take it.

Feeling quite a lot of shifting movement - think baby's bum is at the top of my bump so I feel more rolls than kicks. Still feel a bit paranoid about being too small but hopefully just silly paranoia, I was fine at the last check up.

Hope everyone's well x

I've been having trouble getting to & staying asleep, reckon I got about 3 hours in a row last night, the rest was waking up every hour to turn/pee/stare at the ceiling! No advice fatpony but now I REALLY want a packet of pickled onion monster munch! Might have to convince DH its a craving and to get me some on his way home Grin

fatpony · 30/07/2014 15:34

Jellybeans - Budgens had a multipack for a pound! Who can resist that? Seriously I haven't eaten monster munch in such quantity since the summer I was 12 when getting them past my mother was a major challenge :)

mrsb87 · 30/07/2014 15:38

My goodness what a day! Member of staff showed up for work over an hour late!! Sent her home, not putting up with that crap. Covered the afternoon and I was meant to get relief at 2pm to get to my appointment with the midwife.....He shows up 20 minutes late so missed my appointment! Stress stress stress!

We also have friends coming over tonight and I have food to prepare and a kitchen to clean Sad I just want to go to sleep

Also a monster munch lover here. One of the few foods I could stomach in early preg!

ohthegoats · 30/07/2014 18:00

Monster Munch quite popular here - along with those really cheap Alien crisps, and Wotsits. Shit crisps basically!

misskipper · 30/07/2014 18:03

Hi there.

FTM Edd 4th Oct. Had my mw app yesterday and consistently measuring 1 week ahead throughout. Could he/she be a bigger baby.....or maybe could it be more in line with my original dates and come a few days early? Is that wishful thinking?!!

P.s. have only just found the Oct club! Nice to join in :)

porcito · 30/07/2014 18:12

AAARGH I would literally kill for a packet of Monster Munch right now. vile jalapeno flavoured crisps just don't cut it.

I'm also in the no sleep brigade. I don't even have internet/TV in the new house to sit up and watch rubbish to send me back to sleep. DP is good if I ask, but I hate being the nagging old witch who's always asking him to do something new. He works long 13 hour days, and then just wants to sleep but does everything on Sunday on day off. Pointed out that a new baby might not want to fit into his working schedule in terms of mess!

mum2kiss · 30/07/2014 18:26

Oooh a nice bag of beef monster munch would go down quite nicely right now!

Dp doesn't like Indian food - I love it! So I've just roped my mum into sharing a takeaway with me ;)

Welcome kipper :)

gunwalloe · 30/07/2014 18:35

oooooh I would kill for a bag of any crisps, before the GD I discovered tangy toms in The Range there not exactly the same as when I was at school but still yummy

Bumpforme2014 · 30/07/2014 18:44

Mmmmm crisps, I loved them anyway but difficult to avoid eating them everyday whilst pregnant.

My sleep in second trimester was amazing, I'm usually bad sleeper. Now it's crap as waking after two hours back to sleep for another two then wide awake and starving. My problem is stomach has got smaller now so dinner makes me uncomfortably full all night then wake starving in middle of night.

Ah well, 6 weeks left at work so glad decided to finish early don't think could handle much more of this heat.

fedupofrainydays · 30/07/2014 19:27

Vile jalapeño flavoured crisps Dragon yuk!

Just realised as I'm wfh tomorrow I've technically got 3 weeks left of work.... Hurrah!!!!!!!! Somehow got to juggle getting a lot done in that time and being a hobo!

Glad you went to hospital sparkle and all is well :)
Got booked up for my 2 week driving course today, starting Monday then I only have 3 weeks of work after that, whoop!! 2 weeks off work, ahhh....bisto.
We should have shares in Monster Munch, we just bought a multi pack of them yesterday haha!!

mum2kiss · 30/07/2014 20:49

Glad you went in sparkle! If you're lucky you may just have the most chilled out baby in the world! I'm pretty sure I'm not that lucky!

YellowWellies · 30/07/2014 20:50

I want Monster Munch... but am in my Jammies. it would probably be mean to rope DH (who's currently painting the dining room) into going out and getting me some Blush.

MundayCakes85 · 30/07/2014 21:19

Just been to my NHS antenatal class. Mainly involved discussing pain relief options(only gas and air offered in my chosen midwife unit) and talked about the stages of labour. DH seems to have learnt a few things though so not all bad!

Kirstipops · 30/07/2014 21:25

Yellow I'm probably one of the nearest ones to you, shall I send a few packets up in a taxi Grin?

Bumpforme2014 · 30/07/2014 21:40

Sparkle that's one chilled out baby you got there, I actually love taste of lucozade.

puppythedog · 31/07/2014 05:28

An example of Dad to be pregnancy brain here. We got 21/2 hours towards the peak district when I realised I had not brought the key to the hut we would be staying in yesterday. Had to drive home (via mothercare Grin) and we're going to try again today.

Regarding not doing enough in the house partners, have a conversation about it. mrsthedog and I had all the usual disagreements about it, one of us likes keeping things tidy, one doesn't, one is very good at deep cleans, the other and general cleanliness. It became such a big deal, one not doing what the other wanted began to equal not valuing them (or that's how we viewed it). One resolution was a cleaner and mrsthedog becoming a teacher, she was so busy with her planning and marking that sometimes it would come mostly down to me and (thank goodness) the cleaner.

Good luck with it though, I have to admit to being rubbish at seeing dirt and great at seeing untidiness. Mrsthedog can spend a few minutes in a room and make it look amazing but I get bogged down in sorting out where things need to go.
