P.S. I've been using the Natal Hypnotherapy CD and really like it, I definitely don't think it'd be too late to start now :)

ohthegoats · 14/08/2014 19:55

I'm another one who should be on September, but I'm reckoning on 14th October in reality. I NEEEEEED 14th October so we've actually got a bathroom. Had a minor meltdown this morning about it potentially being ready to be out in 3 weeks (especially since my friend who is 37 weeks and has almost the same health issues as me is being induced on Sunday). We need at least 5 weeks to have a decent comfortable upstairs.

ohthegoats · 14/08/2014 19:56

Oh, and yes to the natal CD. I fall asleep almost within 5 minutes of starting it every time, so it does something. Never heard it the whole way through.

Heartburn has been spectacular today. Even the Rennies gave me heartburn. FFS.

fedupofrainydays · 14/08/2014 20:18

Ladies you need to be more committal here... This thread or September or November - you can't flit andess us all about Grin

fedupofrainydays · 14/08/2014 20:18

*and mess

ohthegoats · 14/08/2014 20:27

I sometimes read the September thread, but I've not posted there. I'm monogamous when it comes to posting on this here interwebs Wink

I do post on pregnancy and childbirth a bit though.

pusscous · 14/08/2014 20:31

Me- glad to hear that you are home and hope things start improving for you
Pregnant hope all tests/ scans come back clear.

I'm still have a slightly achy bump after the weekend. But can I ask those in the know what Brixton hicks really feel like? Bump get feeling tight last night, felt short of breath but what really annoyed was getting really hot.

pusscous · 14/08/2014 20:42

Despite above starting to feel more normal again, even my all my pre existing join pains have come back; have old injuries in both knees and one hip. Seemed to have abbiated in second tri but now aching and normal control of symptoms can't resume properly until eviction. Actually shouldn't moan too much because I was a prime candidate as a result of joint issues for ppg...

Looking longingly at my wardrobe and clothes I want to wear in October. Fed up of limited selection, far too many stripes. And can't stand anything floaty, beds to be fitted otherwise I feel like Humpty Dumpty! Actually not the case keep being stopped by strangers not realising I'm pregnant - in a "I love your dress.... oh it's maternity, didn't realise you were pregnant until saw you side on"!!! Hilarious but a compliment I'll take. It's the people who walk into bump or side of that really irritate "hello, don't mind me here, I'm just pregnant " the ones with kids are the worst or old but not infirm. I will only move out if your way if you are struggling more than me so move

Shirehobbit · 14/08/2014 20:56

FWIW babies on the October13 bus have birthdays ranging from August to November Smile

fatpony · 14/08/2014 21:02

Sooo relieved - for the past couple of months I've been getting lots of 'are you sure you are pregnant' etc and at the MW appointment this morning I was 2-3 weeks under on the belly measurement but DH and I had booked a growth scan for this evening anyway and turns out he is right where he should be for 31 weeks. In fact he is 3lbs 7 ounces already! And they confirmed he is a boy (the balls seem so oversized!).

STIGZ · 14/08/2014 21:12

goats my heartburn has been horrendous recently.., it was actually coming into my mouth, my mum gave me a rantinadin tablet last nite and it worked wonders literally straight away & have had no heartburn at all today. Im sure i read on here someone else saying it was a lifesaver:)

SweetPeaPods · 14/08/2014 21:20

Stigz yes ranitidine is great stuff. You can buy it too , tesco sell Zantac which is same thing but dr prescribed me double the strength of Zantac and told me to take 2 a day. It's much better than gaviscon etc which make me retch. Tablets are the way to go!!

sazzlehopes · 14/08/2014 21:25

Carebear, could never forget your excellent name! So happy for you - thanks for coming in to tell us your news. May the next 9 months go well, please do keep us updated rom time to time xx

Me glad your home, and hope all is well with you soon and you get answers and good results.

Had my 34 week appointment today...(I'm another sneaky end sept person) but in my mind the baby is coming out Oct 3rd and they have their dates wrong, not me!!! Anyway midwife wasn't sure on where the baby was but wasn't worried so at the 36 week appointment she'll check again and if not sure I'll go for a scan. I'm more nervous now about baby being the wrong way up...and therefore I'll end up with an elcs....oh well we will see in 2 weeks time. I'm off to check out all this spinning baby stuff you ladies chat about!!

Sparkle my date is 20th if that counts? Though according to
Lmp should be 13th. Had a 4d scan in uk --and was measured a week ahead of where I was ie was 26+3 at scan and was dated to 27+2, her legs were measured at 28 weeks. Her estimated birth weight to be between 6.5 lbs and 7lbs. Looking to be long and skinny

pebble82 · 14/08/2014 21:38

Aw carebear that's lovely news. So happy for you. X

Georgebythesea · 14/08/2014 21:40

Carebear That's great news..Congratulations,Really pleased for you :)
Everyone Just wanted to say thanks for this thread..even though I haven't posted much at all due to using my phone as a computer/sickness/etc I have read every post and I've found loads of it really really useful. We have just hired a doula,(really can't afford but I've had a lot of anxiety because of being so sick)and she came over today and went through birth with us and Mary my partner is busy breastpumping away as she is going to try breastfeeding as
well, will let you know if it works..will be so great if it does!! We have a city mini Gt buggy and lots of little clothes that people have given us,slowly getting prepared for his arrival! And think will hire an NCT bed nest.Seriously you guys have given me soooooo much info and useful tips,it's been amazing,I'm sorry not to have been able to be more engaged!

Kirstipops · 14/08/2014 22:12

Glad you can still get something out of the thread though George even if you've been too burst to post much yourself!
I'm not sure if I have some sort of acid reflux going on this evening, never really had heartburn much and definitely no reflux before (I know, I'm a jammy sod to have avoided it til now!), feels like a hot uncomfortable lump in my throat that comes and goes in varying degrees of unpleasantness, I feel it more when I lean forward or lie on my side so it's putting me off going to bed! DH has Omeprazole, he also has mint Gaviscon but that made me gag horrendously the one time I tried it! Could I try a cheeky Omeprazole dya think or should I suck it up and have the over-the-counter-minty-vom shampoo?

Lulu298 · 14/08/2014 22:21

I'm due on the 27 Oct (my mum's birthday) sparkle - waves!

Congratulations carebear and glad to hear you're ok me.

I'm another on Zantac (one a day) but still getting reflux - yuck. I had acid reflux before I was pregnant but had managed to wean myself off Lanzaprozole so wasn't surprised it's back...with a vengeance!

Bumpforme2014 · 14/08/2014 22:44

Hi everyone, glad to hear of others who have companies that haven't replaced them yet. I am starting to feel bad seeing everyone in my office run around like headless chickens being so busy when I am winding down with four weeks to go. They are now desperately trying to recruit for my replacement despite having months to do so. I don't like how others are making me feel bad constantly going on about how stressful it is now let alone when I go..... It's not my problem is it?

Carebear I often think about you could not be happier for ya, I will send you a PM if you don't mind.

pebble82 · 14/08/2014 23:07

I'm currently sifting through CVs for my replacement. We put the request to recruit in well over a month ago but our HR system is stupidly slow so it's taken until now. Handover plan is out of the window now. I've been so shocked by the blatant unsuitability of candidates applying. It's laughable how some people think marketing is just something anyone can have a bash at with no experience. At this rate I'll be on mat leave before any interviews are done. Oh well, not my problem I suppose. Although I don't want to come back to a mess next year!

binkybunny · 15/08/2014 00:10

pebble isn't marketing just colouring in and making things pretty?! I've had that comment soooo many times, especially from my techie Dad and Finance sister Hmm

I'm really glad I'm off work tomorrow. absolutely wide awake now at ten past midnight Confused.
