Here is an interesting article about morning sickness for all those suffering. Sounds like magnesium might help?

FoscarC · 02/08/2014 07:59

eatscake so glad you're back. I was beginning to worry.

chat I'm so so sorry. I hope you are ok and being looked after.

I am doing ok. Just so so tired. Had a melt down last night and just cried and cried at dh whilst saying 'I'm just so tired and don't know what to do'. The problem is that as much as I sleep I'm still knackered the next day because I'm just not sleeping well. And then I feel quilty for complaining because I really have everything I could wish for.

KeeperOfTheZoo · 02/08/2014 08:00

Morning all. Been awake so many times during the night it's untrue, and DS actually slept through for a change so my one chance for a good night's sleep gone! (As I've no doubt he'll be back to waking up again tonight).

mer how are things with you this morning?

woodlandwanderwoman · 02/08/2014 08:18

So sorry to wake up to your sad news chat, my thoughts are with you all and your family at this terribly difficult time.

Lovely to see cake and and few more names back again, can believe we are almost on thread 3. Lots of catch up on. Hope you're all feeling ok and get some help and rest now it's the weekend.

I know what you all mean about the tummy upsets as well as ms. I find if I eat too much on an empty stomach I get the most agonising stomach pains a few hours later, mostly colicky... I will try to remember how it feels when lo comes and cries from sore tummy. Still doesn't stop me scoffing cake!!

I also had the most horrendous bout of ms this week which saw me at the doctors I was so completely debilitated, couldn't drink, move, totally dizzy, 48h non stop then it went after forcing down pizza, lucozade and a good nights sleep. Now feeling oddly ok. 9.5w today, clocking up the days!

I hope I haven't been premature but have picked up some fantastic maternity clothes (specifically jeans and trousers) in the sale. There are still some good prices to be had (can I mention the website??). I still have some from last time but can't resist a bargain.

Take care all and have restful weekends

FoscarC · 02/08/2014 08:20

woodland I get the same. Alternate between constipation and really strong tummy cramps with diarheoa.

persepolis123 · 02/08/2014 08:22

Scan this morning. I'm so nervous. Good luck to notoasthere too.

persepolis123 · 02/08/2014 08:22

Does anyone know if I need a full bladder?

notoasthere · 02/08/2014 08:24

Yes P - full bladder so start drinking a bottle of water now

Good luck with the scans this morning ladies.

I've been feeling like I'm being stretched from within. Not really bad enough to be cramping but like permanent womb ache. Was so worried last night I went to bed really early. This is normal though isn't it?

eatscakefornoreasonwhatsoever · 02/08/2014 09:04

Ooh yes mention the website. I've banned myself vying baby things yet but reckon mat clothes would be pool. And cheer me up a bit.

Though I just ate a small bacon sandwich which was yummy. Think I need the salt. Can feel stomach gurgling away already though.

FoscarC · 02/08/2014 09:12

pickled yes I get that and mentioned it to the midwife at my booking in appointment and she said it was my round ligaments stretching and was normal.

Good luck to everyone for scans today. I've just taken dh to the train station as he's off for a stag weekend. So I have a weekend of sleep and rest. And maybe some shopping. Going to get a bandeau thing so I can undo my trousers and still wear them.

PickledPorcupine · 02/08/2014 09:37

Thanks Foscar you've made me feel much better!

Rainbow555 · 02/08/2014 10:00

Yep I get the pains too got some very sharp ones today and freaked out but all seems ok
Also agree with the changing between constipation, colic, bloating, hunger and stomach upsets!! It can't make up its mind!
So far sleeping well tho, sorry to those who are not, but still unbearably tired how is that possible??
Good luck to those with scans today!

PickledPorcupine · 02/08/2014 10:17

I wake every day at about 4am, throw up which wakes up dh and then we play scrabble on the iPad for an hour. It's becoming a very fixed routine now.

notoasthere · 02/08/2014 10:20

All fine with my scan - bean measuring 8+1, lovely strong heartbeat :)

Thanks for the link surfsup, will try supplements. Though gotta say the author referring to her 'winter solstice water birth' set my teeth on edge. What would she have called it if it was just a random Tuesday? I might start naming my births now. The last one was the 'Summers Day Visit to Hell and Back'

MGFM · 02/08/2014 10:36

notoast great news. Do you have a photo??

coastergirl · 02/08/2014 10:40

congrats on the scan notoast!

I'm a bit fed up this morning. I'm spotting again. Trying not to panic because it's happened a lot and all was OK at my scan. Roll on the 19th so we can see if things are continuing in the right direction. I also seem to be full of a cold again.

Woodland I'd love to know what website it was!

Surfsup1 · 02/08/2014 10:43

Bahah! Spirals I clearly didn't read the article all the way though - just skimmed the major points! I think some of these birth bloggers are a bit like cricket commentators in that there's a lot of space to fill so they end up waffling about absolute bs!

ChristinaYang · 02/08/2014 10:56

MotherToInsomniac thank you for replying and reassuring me! I think that maybe because our breast are already prepared for breastfeeding then they don't be sore, I'll try not to panic x

amac36 · 02/08/2014 11:07

The main symptom I have so far is sore boobs. They have got a bit bigger too. No MS yet. My mum didn't have any with me and my brother so maybe I take after her. Heres hoping. So apart from boobs and tiredness I could be not pregnant. Apart from no wine that is. I go on hol 3 weeks on Monday and it'll be a dry one for me.
Lovely to see all the scan pics. I can't wait.

MotherOfInsomniacToddlers · 02/08/2014 11:08

That's what I figure Christina :-) glad to be of assistance!

ohfourfoxache · 02/08/2014 11:13

Morning all!

Just wanted to pop in and say hi really

Chats I'm so sorry sweetheart xx

Coaster

Congrats notoast!

Eats that is adorable! Sounds like he is going to be a fabulous brother!

Yy to feeling exhausted despite sleep. Do you think the sleep isn't actually proper restful sleep? I don't know about anyone else but I find that I'm dreaming really vivid dreams several times a night Sad -they generally ain't good ones

amac36 · 02/08/2014 11:22

Apparently I had nightmares last week. Screaming and whimpering. I had no clue.

FoscarC · 02/08/2014 11:35

sp1rals ha! That made me laugh. Some bloggers are a bit over the top.

notoast that is great news. Do you have a picture? I can't wait for my scan now. 2 weeks on Wednesday! Sooooo far away!!

ohfour I think that's exactly the problem. I am going to sleep at night but having dodgy vivid dreams. Waking loads to pee. And generally spending a lot of time awake. I just decided to go back to bed now in a completely empty house and have slept solidly for 2 hours. Woke naturally and feel
Great. (For now anyway).
