Had a sneaky scan this aft, managed to book somewhere that does scans for non diagnostic purposes only, had a bit of a cry when I worked that out. Decided to go ahead anyway, and all looks fine, good heartbeat and only one in there! Roll on 12 weeks!

Still feeling horrible today, almost puked in the car so many times :(

Hope everyone has a good weekend x

Hi all!

Well, I finally made it back from France in one piece (just) though my morning sickness has kicked up a gear big time!! I've been signed off for another week to rest and try different anti sickness tablets.

Is anyone else suffering from severe morning sickness and on tablets to control nausea and vomiting?? I am just so exhausted from being sick all the time!

CrispsAndChoc · 01/08/2014 17:05

Hi everyone. Today was the worst day for morning sickness-I'm hoping it will stop soon! pint of milk I also have no idea why it's called morning sickness-it's lasting all day! My mum has recommended anti sickness bands and I'm willing to give anything a go!
I've had my booking appointment and scan through-my appointment isn't until I'm 11 weeks with the scan a few days later. Does this seem really late to you for the booking appointment?

CrispsAndChoc · 01/08/2014 17:06

durham red your sickness sounds awful, hope it eases soon. Good luck with the tablets.

notoasthere · 01/08/2014 17:14

crisps if you have a scan date booked, 11 weeks is fine as usually you have to book in to get your scan referral done. For those mums who perhaps aren't so well educated in pregnancy, then yes, 11 weeks is late - some women don't know about folic acid, what food to avoid etc and the fa boat has sailed by then

Thanks Crisps I just want to feel better so I can enjoy my pregnancy, at the moment I just feel so crap :-(

I've had morning sickness since week 3 (I'm now 7+1 weeks) and am hoping it starts to ease off soon! Going to try and book a private early scan to see if all is OK with baby.

CrispsAndChoc · 01/08/2014 17:20

Thanks notoasthere. I've read every article I can so hope I'm doing everything right! Been taking folic acid since January so definitely for long enough!

persepolis123 · 01/08/2014 17:21

crisps my midwife won't see anyone until 10 weeks and I don't get the scan date through until after that.

After two weeks of horrendous sickness I feel much better today. I'm a bit concerned that it means something is wrong.

CrispsAndChoc · 01/08/2014 17:25

Thanks persepolis. I've also had days where my sickness has disappeared and been so worried for it to only be back with a vengeance the next day. Hopefully that's the case for you-though It feels strange to be wishing morning sickness on someone! And it must get better at some point so maybe you've got through that stage?

M27J5M · 01/08/2014 17:28

Crisps - I was away camping at weekend and was a lot of driving involved, I get car sick so was wearing travel bands the full day and didn't feel sick at all really, just the odd wee niggle so I'd say they defo do work, even my partner commented that I hadn't mentioned feeling yucky etc for most of our time away! I'd be wearing these bands constantly if I could easily hide them but unless I constantly wear long tops they're on show

CrispsAndChoc · 01/08/2014 17:44

That's good to know M27J5M. I'll be getting those off my mum ASAP!

ZebraZeebra · 01/08/2014 17:49

notoast that's what I did with bfing in public - the two vest trick! As it'll be going into spring/ summer with us lot I think you get away with a loose top and vest underneath so it's less layers. Could not get on with the faff of a shawl or scarf or anything. Plus as DS got older he'd just pull it down anyway.

crisps my MS has gone away in the last 24 hours and like a knob, I'm now worrying. Actually took a hpt this afternoon - strong positve immediately. The I started thinking about how the hormone levels can stay for ages and it didn't reassure me. I can't stand this. I didn't worry like this the first time.

ZebraZeebra · 01/08/2014 17:50

Sorry that was to persepolis too, about worrying sour not being sick anymore.

KeeperOfTheZoo · 01/08/2014 17:51

mer I hope you're ok

Sorry to those who are really suffering with sickness. Mine is still quite low level on the whole although I have had a few bad days.

Really lazy afternoon here with DS - watching cbeebies, playing withtrains and nearly having a heart attack watching the women's hockey semi final in the Commonwealth Games! Worth it though.

M27J5M · 01/08/2014 17:51

I've got the normal wee material band 1s but was in pound land the other day as ds NEEDED a fan he seen in window lol and seen they had adjustable 1s that Velcro closed so you can wear them tight and if they get irritating or wrist swells with heat etc you can loosen them off a little

ZebraZeebra · 01/08/2014 17:51

Sour?? Sick.

Wtf is wrong with me! Also forgot to add - for that unquenchable thirst, flavoured sparkling water is where it's at!

ChatEnOeuf · 01/08/2014 18:50

I'll be leaving you lovely ladies, my little beans are sadly no longer with us. Woke up with almighty pain and bit of bleeding. Scanned today and there's no HBs. Very best of luck to you all, I'm going to pour myself a very large glass of Wine :(

smokeandglitter · 01/08/2014 18:52

Oh chat, I am so so sorry. I hope you've got lots of support. Sending you lots of love.

fourmonthstogo · 01/08/2014 18:53

Today I'm cross because I got home fancying a big lump of the yarg cheese I had in the fridge, only to find it was going a little mouldy and I've only had it a few days. Grr.. pre pregnancy I'd just have trimmed it off and pressed on but I feel that may be unwise now!
Also, whilst being unwise, I cleaned up the cat poo as dh is out til late and I couldn't live with the smell.
Hope everyone has a good weekend, good to see all the little scan pics!

fourmonthstogo · 01/08/2014 18:55
