Very dizzy here too!

Mer93 · 01/08/2014 11:19

Had a pretty bad day yesterday. Woke up and immediately threw up, then went to the loo because I had a funny feeling in my stomach. Found some blood. Then for the rest of the day yesterday I had period cramps and bleeding. Woke up this morning still bleeding (darker in colour) and cramps aren't as bad. So I phoned the midwifes at my local hospital, they've told me to rest and if it gets worse to go to A&E. I'm really worried, I've never been through this before so I don't know how much pain is too much or what the blood should look like. Thankfully my BF is staying at mine for the weekend, he should make me feel better..

MGFM · 01/08/2014 11:28

Mer93 fingers crossed for you. Try not to worry ! probably easier said than done.

M27J5M · 01/08/2014 11:28

Aww mer93 I hope everything's ok, hope you feel better today!

I'm having an awful morning today, was at a wedding last night and I actually feel hungover this morning :( despite not touching alcohol, felling dizzy and sick and extremely grumpy, feel so bad cos I feel like I'm taking it all out on DS!

smokeandglitter · 01/08/2014 11:32

Thinking of you Mer23.

bouncesky · 01/08/2014 11:41

Hi all! Sorry I haven't been around much, have been trying to keep up with the thread though! I am now 9+3. Have been feeling a lot better this week, still tired though. I didn't realise that you could upload pictures, I have added our scan pic which was taken last week at 8+2.
I think I read that another poster is getting married in September or October.....but I can't remember their name. I am getting married middle of September! They were having to alter my dress a lot as it was too big, but they have now halted all alterations and will do last minute ones based on how big I am nearer the time. I will be just over 16 weeks when I get married and am then heading to Dubai and Mauritius for honeymoon. Had planned a drunken fun filled honeymoon.....think it will be a little different to the plan!
Welcome to all the newbies and congratulations to everyone who has had good scans and to those who have had twin news!!!

Due March 2015 - on the way to booking in, scans and morning sickness ahoy!
smokeandglitter · 01/08/2014 11:48

MGFM · 01/08/2014 12:10

Might aswell join in and add my scan. Just looks like a blob. Haha
bounce sounds like a wonderful honeymoon even I'd you can't drink.

bouncesky · 01/08/2014 12:45

Thanks smoke! How far along were you MGFM?

Lifeisabeach · 01/08/2014 13:16

Congrats to smokeandglitter, MGFM and bouncesky on your scans, so lovely to see pics of your little beans.

And congrats to Chat on the twins!

Mer93, fingers crossed for you, I hope everything is ok.

mariomadmum same here re the dizziness - I keep feeling really dizzy and lightheaded.

Hello to all the newbies. I can't keep up with this thread but am reading all the posts. Been feeling knackered and by the time I've summoned up the energy to reply, the thread has moved on!

I'm 6+3 today, almost the exact stage I started miscarrying last time. I know it doesn't mean anything really, but I'll be glad to get to 7 weeks, it will feel like a milestone.

I rang the GP surgery today and was pleased to be told I don't need to see a doctor. The receptionist took my details to pass on to the midwife, who will call me to arrange an appointment.

The nausea has ramped up a bit in the last couple of days, worst first thing in the morning and when I haven't eaten for a while. So I'm eating all the time - I'm going to be huge!

Brummiegirl15 · 01/08/2014 13:28

Lovely to see all the scan pics!! V jealous. Mine is next Saturday.

Big hugs to Mer I really hope your little bean is ok. If the bleeding carries on then just go to A&E - my sis delivers babies as a doc at Royal Worcestershire and has told me I'd I'm worried at all and bleeding, just go to A&E.

She regularly scanned women in A& E - some tried it on as they just wanted a scan but she was always happy to scan anyone who was bleeding.
Thinking of you

MGFM · 01/08/2014 13:56

bounce I was 7 +5. The blob measured 1 cm with heartbeat which put me at 7 +1 but I am sticking with my original dates until dating scan in September. And according to my app the blob is now technically a foetus!

Popsicle30 · 01/08/2014 14:18

Aww all the lovely scan pics ladies!

Mer93 I hope everything goes ok and as the MW said try and relax. Big hugs.

As usual the thread has moved on big time so apologies that I don't respond to everyone. Just hope that things are moving on well for you all.

I got my scan date today!!! 19th August at 8.45am so I think I'll be one of the first appointments of the day. I'll either be 12+2 or 11+6 depending on whether my edd or the MWs edd is right. Excited and nervous all rolled in to one!

notoasthere · 01/08/2014 14:25

I'm a baby wearer - still wore ds till v recently. I had a moby for the newborn stage, then alternated between using the manduca carrier and a wrap. Baby bjorns are ok, but there are far comfier options for both you and baby that can be bought from the likes of the nct online shop or john lewis, so you don't have to look too hard to find them!
Hello to all the beautiful wee babies in their scan pictures!

Foscar - I still reminisce over a very saucy dream I had when pregnant with ds, unfortunately this time round so far I've just had v vivid weird ones

Scan tomorrow - eeep!

It's lovely to see people's scan pictures Smile Hopefully I will have one tomorrow, fingers crossed! notoasthere what time is your scan? Mine's at 9.30am

NotAQueef · 01/08/2014 14:57

Lovely to see all the little beans Smile another 19 days til my scan. whoop.

Ugh I feel so yuk weak and shaky at work. Just don’t want to be here Sad
Ended up telling my manager this week as am struggling without fresh air (have an internal office that has now window of its own. He is trying to sort me another office with real actual oxygen but will probably be another week.

Roll on 5pm.

Brummiegirl15 · 01/08/2014 15:41

I'm interested in thought of wearing a sling definitely. I like the idea of fabric wrap one that is more kangaroo style than a more constructed one if that makes sense.

I think the moby ones are a bit like that.

Also have people ever used breast feeding apron or shawl / scarf?

Mamaoosh have a breastfeeding scarf with a rigid neckline and Seraphine sells a breastfeedinh shawl. And John Lewis sell the breastfeedinh apron.

Do they work or waste of time? I want to fb but I hate idea of bf'ing in front of in-laws. It really bothers me.

Bf'ing in Costa? Doesn't bother me in slightest ironically!!!

Brummiegirl15 · 01/08/2014 15:41

I clearly can't spell breastfeeding either. Bloody iPhones!!

coastergirl · 01/08/2014 15:59

Hello!

Hope everyone is ok and congrats on the scans. I didn't get a picture of mine, but have another at 8+4 so will ask then.

Mer93 I hope everything is ok. I had a bit of bleeding and the scan really reassured me. The nurse at the hospital said they're not worried about a bit, just enough to soak a pad or with sudden onset of severe pain. They were happy to scan me though.

I'm exactly 6 weeks today (again haha, after finding out I'm much earlier than thought). My boobs are killing and I seem to be emotional today! I've just been watching Say Yes to the Dress and kept tearing up. Every time I teared up, I got goosebumps which made my nipples hurt lol.

Got my appointments through the post yesterday. Booking in on 22nd August and 12 week scan on 3rd September. I'm going to try and change the scan though. It's the second day of term so I'd rather not take time off so soon, plus I'll only actually be 10+5.

MGFM · 01/08/2014 16:02

brummie a friend of mine has just given birth and she is BF and has some sort of shawl. It is like a massive square cloth that she folds into triangle and ties round her neck then drapes over the baby. I'm probably not describing very well but she loves them. I have also seen some thing That ties onto bra and just hangs over the baby. Both very light weight. Don't know the names of either lol

notoasthere · 01/08/2014 16:04

Honestly? Breastfeeding covers are faffy, annoying, make you and baby hot and draw more attention to the fact your breastfeeding. Wear a vest under your normal top - pull top up, vest down, latch baby on - you see no boob at all and you can always drape a muslin over your shoulder/babies head for cover if needed (handy when they get to the nosy stage and pop on and off for a look around) ;)

My scan is 920 tomorrow perspolis

persepolis123 · 01/08/2014 16:06

oooh we're scan buddies notoasthere. Good luck!

kettlepot · 01/08/2014 16:11

bounce I'm the one getting married in October... Very glad I got the slightly bigger dress in the end... But I cannot stop eating so fully expecting it to need more alterations! I think I'll be about 17 weeks... We were going to book a last minute honeymoon to Mexico but now thinking might just stay in Europe.

mer93 I hope everything is okay. I'd definitely go to A&E.

pintofmilk · 01/08/2014 16:37

mer93 How you feeling now? Has the bleeding stopped?
When I had my booking appointment the MW told me if there was any beeding to go to hospital. Hope you are ok.

pintofmilk · 01/08/2014 16:47

Well I've been off the radar the last couple of weeks. Been completely knackered. Glad it is half term now-no alarm clock for 6 weeks-well 5 now!

Don't know why they call it morning sickness. I am not too bad in the morning, as long as I nibble. Get to 4:30pm when I should start thinking about food for the kids and I just cannot stand the thought/sight/smell of it.

Had my booking in appointment and an early scan which bought my EDD forward to 3/3/15 so should be 9+3 today. Smile
