haha TannyLoo

I have to second all of your advice!
The only 'good' days for me are ones where I eat non-stop. So now I'm making a conscious effort to lay off the tea cakes, and stick to the fruit!

I had my booking in yesterday pink have you had yours yet?
Midwife says I'm 8+3 and confirmed my expected EDD of 10th March.

It's been a manic couple of weeks as I am a contractor between roles, so I need to find another contract that will see me through to as close to EDD as I can get away with!

I have an interview this afternoon so fingers crossed

Really glad that last night was the first night of uninterrupted sleep for a few weeks - not drinking anything in the evening might have helped with that

Foscar Thank you so much for the giggles, I really hope that no matter what 'choices' you get, that they are comfortable for you.

Zebra Any idea where you can get maternity swimwear? I've got a leaflet for Aquanatal and really want to go once I'm far enough along :)

Brummie Sympathies with the bump, I go up and down like a balloon all day, it's not fun! But when you are able to tell people it will be nice to show off :)

Rainbow555 · 29/07/2014 10:40

Just read the thread too amelia and hoping like hell I do get some relief from things in second tri! even I don't get the glow and have a wonderful time....never realised how awful it can be for some ladies!

ZebraZeebra · 29/07/2014 10:48

madasacatter Mothercare and Mamas and Papas definitely do them but I refused to pay £20 last time for something I'd only need for five months or so. This is the one I got last time: www.sportsdirect.com/slazenger-maternity-swimsuit-ladies-354207

Wow this thread moves fast Grin

Congrats to all with the early scans!

I haven't even seen the Dr yet to confirm it all/get referral. I have an appointment on Monday though. I'm not actually sure when my last period was - my last "bleed" was mid June but it was very light and only last a couple of days. I'm guessing from that, that I'm around 6 weeks but I don't want to have to wait another 6 weeks to find out for sure...

samza10 · 29/07/2014 11:15

foscar thats my mate Suzy in the army frock! I think she wrote an article to accompany it saying how out of touch the army uniform is…not sure the navy is any better!

pinkandstripey · 29/07/2014 12:07

Yay to all the early scans :) so exciting!!

mad yes! I had a blood appointment last Tuesday and booking in last Thursday. Midwife is lovely and a bit mad! Give me a yell if you fancy that coffee and good luck with interview :)

This thread moves so fast!

Hi everyone, not great news from early scan today. Embryo showed 6w5d (by my measurement 7w6d) plus the heartbeat was very slow at only 68bpm. Dr very politely told me to prepare for the worst. DH and I are feeling very rough right now.

madasacatter · 29/07/2014 12:22

Oh charlie big hugs - I just don't know what to say

pink Sincere apologies for not arranging with you sooner, I thought I had a role to start this week, but it fell through. I'll be in touch as soon as I know the outcome of this afternoon's interview :)

Thanks for the luck!

notoasthere · 29/07/2014 12:25

Oh I'm sorry charlie - are they re scanning you or just waiting now?

charlieis30 · 29/07/2014 12:33

mad and nottoast thanks both. Going back for follow up next friday. DH is away on a work trip most of next week and morning sickness is still really bad so I'm not looking forward to being on my own.

smokeandglitter · 29/07/2014 12:42

Charlie I'm so sorry. Thinking of you and DH, hope you've got support. What a difficult time. Can you ask a close friend/parent to come with you?

Butterpuff · 29/07/2014 12:48

Charlie I'm so sorry, I don't know what to say but hope that you have lots of support around you.

KeeperOfTheZoo · 29/07/2014 12:50

So sorry Charlie, hope they're re scanning you soon so you can get some answers.

Foscar if there's a free handbag included then it has to be the dress all the way! Grin

MGFM · 29/07/2014 12:58

Just had my scan! A good heartbeat and measured at 7 weeks and 1 day! Very happy! Although my due date is getting closer and closer to my birthday! Now the 16th of march.

charlieis30 · 29/07/2014 12:58

Sorry I wasn't clear - DH will be back by the scan. I'm just scared now that I'm going to MC while he's away next week. I suppose I've been through it once before, I was abroad though.

Thanks for everyone's thoughts, we both appreciate it.

PickledPorcupine · 29/07/2014 13:05

Oh charlie I'm so sorry xxx

ApplebyMennym · 29/07/2014 13:06

So sorry to hear that charlie sending good thoughts your way.

oliveobsessed · 29/07/2014 13:35

MrsAmelia - peppermint tea could be your friend for bloating or if it is painful then Dr may prescribe Apercap peppermint oil tablets I believe are pregnancy safe. Just make sure you are somewhere private about 20 minutes later for the 'release or pressure'

Charlie - so sorry xx

pinkandstripey · 29/07/2014 13:47

Charlie, sending good vibes and wishes your way xx

m33r · 29/07/2014 14:15

coastergirl · 29/07/2014 14:46

muchostinky · 29/07/2014 14:56

So sorry to hear this Charlie xx

FoscarC · 29/07/2014 14:57

Oh charlie I am so sorry for you and your dh and little bean. I don't know what else to say but fingers crossed it all works out ok. And that this week isn't too awful on your own.

mrse tmi coming, but my bloating wind seems to have suddenly decided to come out. And it is hideous!!! I have just had to escape from my office as I have made it smell so bad and I'm worried someone will come in to ask me something. It's awful!!! And we only have stupid tiny windows. But my tummy feels better and my trousers less tight! I went for a short 15 mins cycle at lunch time and that is what seems to have triggered it all off.

FoscarC · 29/07/2014 14:58

Sorry, that was for mrsamelia who I thinking also suffering for bloat. Not mrse

fourmonthstogo · 29/07/2014 14:58

So sorry charlie, thinking of you.
