normally i would eat nothing for breakfast. occasionally have lunch. big meal at tea time and then eat a bit of junk at night. but now i eat breakfast lunch and tea and eat ham out the packet in the fridge and pick throughout the day at whatever happens to be in the fridge and then i eat junk at night Blush im going to look pregnant even after baby is born if i carry on like i have the last week

m33r · 25/07/2014 21:26

Thanks smoke. I'm def going to try to not to anymore.

theone I'm feel like I'm more hungry more often. Can I count that as a symptom [desperately tried to 'evidence' pregnancy]

mario that's the down side to the early scans. It's got you thinking and I bet there's a perfectly lovely little bundle in there doing exactly as it should. Hope you're feeling more relaxed!

Sp1rals · 25/07/2014 21:28

I am so frickin sick, I am in hell. Have not even had a five minute break today from it. Very low. Glad to hear some of you have escaped. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.

PickledPorcupine · 25/07/2014 21:42

8 hour car journey today, I struggled! I actually had to beg dh to stop breaking, turning or changing lanes!

northdownmummy · 25/07/2014 21:48

I'm another grazer, but mostly cause I've learnt from experience that if I let myself get hungry or tired, that's when the nausea is at it's worst.

goatsocks · 25/07/2014 21:58

Hi everyone, new on this thread... I'm due March 14 according to MN calculator. It's my first, and very much unplanned and a total horrible shock surprise - spent the last couple of weeks since I found out in a massive panic but just starting to accept it now. Self-referred to local maternity hospital today and the midwife on the phone was lovely but sounded a bit concerned that I wasn't taking preg vitamins (didn't know that was necessary!) Good thing I didn't tell her about all the wine I drank before I knew I was pregnant! Blush Blush

Er, anyway, got the vitamins now. Looking forward to talking to you all and starting to feel more positive about the fact that life is going to change forever Smile though I feel like I know NOTHING about what's to come...

Oh and as I am something like 7 and a half weeks I am fully in the gross morning sickness zone. Sympathy to all fellow sufferers. I feel like I'm constantly on a boat in a storm. Even the thought of all my formerly favourite foods makes me want to hurl Sad

FoscarC · 25/07/2014 22:02

northdown me too. Always grazing. Can't eat too big meal either as it gives me tummy ache.

mario try not to worry (easier said than done I'm sure). If the scan people weren't too worried then you should try not to be. How early are you at the moment? I know early scans can be a bit hit and miss. Try not to worry. Sending big hugs.

theonewiththenoisychild · 25/07/2014 22:05

m33r ive just been googling and it seems its very common to eat loads in early pregnancy Grin so maybe it can be counted as one

Rainbow555 · 25/07/2014 22:23

sp1rals so sorry you are in hell Thanks wish there wa something to ease it for all of us!
I am still in bed, yay for the weekend, I have mama fed so breakfast and now just lying here so not to set any sickness off! Last night was evil, I hate being turned off all good but still being hungry and needing to eat.

Got Pilates this morning, I emailed my instructor to let her know, so we are going to talk about my 'back problem' in class so I have an excuse for why I might do some exercises differently. She said should be ok but to avoid prone extension for a bit just in case-it also tells her why I am not doing so well as usual... Otherwise I know she would have asked what was up!

Anyone else really grumpy or irritated with the nausea? Port DH is like um we have how many more months of you like this? I told him it will hopefully improve soon but I have very little patience at all and house is a bomb site as I really don't feel like cleaning it! pulls duvet over head and hides

Rainbow555 · 25/07/2014 22:24

Gah that was full of typos stupid iPad!

kettlepot · 25/07/2014 22:44

Hi goat! Welcome Smile I'm in exactly same boat... Totally shocked and taken a good few days to get used to it! Am a couple of weeks behind you though, so no sickness yet - hope you start to feel better soon!

mariomadmum · 25/07/2014 23:39

thank you foscar. when I saw the midwife on tuesday she gave me an edd of 16/3/15 which would make me 6+3? but through some googling It is possible (I think) for me to only maybe 5+4? I have confused myself so much tonight with dates and numbers lol. I'm going to do my best not to worry and just wait and see what happens on the 4th of august.
how is everyone doing with this heat? I'm finding nights uncomfortably hot! so not sleeping great, neither is ds.

goatsocks · 25/07/2014 23:53

hi kettle! Glad to know I'm not the only one dealing with this out of the blue!

nihatsgirl · 26/07/2014 02:47

Turn out I may have spoken too soon. I woke up at 2 am and nausea and vomiting is definately back. My sympathies to everyone who is suffering. I hope it's typical and lasts only 12/14 weeks

sleepingflower · 26/07/2014 06:15

I'm only 5+1 but so far my symptoms are insomnia - every blinking day since I got my bfp I've woken up needing the loo at 5am ish and despite being exhausted I can't go back to sleep - so frustrating! Normally I can sleep on a washing line and I need at least 8 hours! I don't remember this from last time.

Needing to go to the loo a lot is another in remember from last time but not so,early.

I've been having loads of nose bleeds which is odd and may be unconnected?!

And nausea, up until, yesterday it was ok then got a huge wave of it. I still had my seabands from last year and wore them all day so it was ok. Last time it kicked in big time at about 6-7'weeks which will be when I'm on holiday - o joy!

sleepingflower · 26/07/2014 06:16

Last time not last,year

pinkandstripey · 26/07/2014 07:47

Welcome goat and congratulations! The only pregnancy vitamins you need is folic acid, the pregnacare etc ones are nice to have but are stupidly expensive! If you find you are only eating biscuits or something then vitamins may be an idea, but don't beat yourself up about not taking them :) (and most people get drunk before we they know ;)) x

smokeandglitter · 26/07/2014 08:14

Yes, I coudn't afford pregnacare but got a higher dose of folic acid prescribed by the dr and am taking extra calcium and Vitamin D. And don't worry - I drunk a bottle of cava the night before my BFP and had been to a house party the weekend before. Dr said very common and not to worry, just stop drinking now. Smile

Gosh I'm exhausted already. Might go back to bed.

smokeandglitter · 26/07/2014 08:15

Oh and updated list with everyone in order - if you avoid ticking it as 'completed' as when ticked it moves to the bottom so you can't see who's due when you are. Smile The Marvellous March Bunch's EDDs

FoscarC · 26/07/2014 08:45

rainbow I'm exactly the same. My poor dh is being so kind and loving but I am just being super grumpy with him. He is really overly in love with me (keeps telling be how beautiful and glowing I am, I am not. I am greasy and spotty and bloated and grumpy) and keeps wanting to kiss me and touch me and I just want him to leave me alone. I feel awful for being so mean but just feel too yuk. And he is so wonderful that when I tell him he is being so understanding and that makes me feel worse. I think he is just very happy that I'm pregnant and it's making him all emotional and loving. He cried last night when I was talking about the birth (he never cries, ever!).

fishfingerSarnies · 26/07/2014 08:54

Ha ha foscar I'm the same with my poor dh, poor bloke cant do anything right if he's loving I'm grumpy because I don't want to be touched if he gives me space I feel like he doesn't love me because I'm fat and minging. Everything is annoying me! Though he's taken my little girl to ballet this morning so I'm getting some much needed sitting around feeling queezy and sorry for myself time, which I am grateful for.

Can't bring myself to take my pregnancy vits these days feeling too sick, should force them down though. I'm taking boots own ones which I took when we were ttc as they were cheaper than the actual ttc ones and had the same stuff in!

Hope everyone has a nice weekend it's supposed to cool down a bit.

ZebraZeebra · 26/07/2014 09:12

Morning everyone :)

Still in first trimester hell. I've cried to MIL and she's going to use some annual leave to have half days at work next week to come and help me with DS. I'm on the verge of throwing up ALL DAY. Being sick would be blessed relief. Not helped by sweet little DS mixing water into his yoghurt and trying to feed me while saying "MMMMMM!"

Anyone else feel really breathless/short of breath? I googled it and apparently it's the increased blood supply to baby and oxygen but it's not pleasant!

Oh tip for the unquenchable thirst - real fruit slushies! Got some frozen berries and blitzed with some water and ice cubes - oh so satisfying!!

lavender20 · 26/07/2014 09:21

Also been a bit breathless, associated it with low energy. And so thirsty!!

Was also thinking about pregnacare vits, had a mild panic last night that I was only taking folic acid but I'm trying to eat lots of fruit, but maybe get some in the next couple of days.

fishfingerSarnies · 26/07/2014 09:33

I wouldn't worry lavender if your eating healthy you'll be fine I'm sure most vitamins are a money making thing. Listen to any cravings you have, your body will tell you what you need and the baby will take what it needs from you.

goatsocks · 26/07/2014 09:53

Phew, I feel very reassured about the drinking and vitamins situation now! Midwife I spoke to said that the baby will take what it needs out of your system whether you take vitamins or not, but YOU might feel more crap if you don't take them because your own stores will be depleted - especially if you're so sick you can only eat biscuits.

Yesterday I ate: breadsticks. Today so far I can eat: shortbread. I do have some plain crackers in the cupboard just to liven things up Sad
