Anyone else really struggling to exercise? Don't think the heat is helping but every time I do I get cramps and scare myself and get a stitch so easily. I usually exercise for 40 mins to 2 hours a day but can now barely manage half an hour broken into two fifteen minutes (not out of breath just cramps). So annoying as I want to stay fit and because of health problems I lose fitness very quickly.

PintOfTea · 23/07/2014 17:26

Thank you smoke Grin

I struggle to exercise at the best of times, but I have made an effort these last few months and started a weekly zumba class and dragged my carcass out running a few times a week. Doctor advised that because running was relatively new, totally knackers me, and high impact to give that a miss but I'm going to replace with swimming (much more civilized!). Zumba teacher on holiday for a fortnight now, but I'm determined to continue for a while if poss- but goodness I'm worried about my current non-existant energy levels and whether my good work so far will count for nothing. I'm sure that listening to your own body is the best you can do, and hopefully you'll experience a wonderful second trimester energy boost and glow!... Maybe?

tannyLoo · 23/07/2014 17:27

I've just caught up with an old TTC after MC thread and it looks like Broodylicious had a false positive, and won't be staying with us Sad .
Can someone update the list when they add other newbies please? I must get on my computer sometime soon so I can take a turn!

ZylaB · 23/07/2014 17:38

Hey ladies, hope you're all coping in the heat!

Been to the hospital, saw baby and a heartbeat (yay), they agree with me at 7+2 and they're also so happy with my diabetes control that they don't want to see me for another 5 weeks, so for the standard 12 week scan.

All I've got to do in the meantime is go for a photo of my eyes, cos pregnancy can affect a diabetic's eyes, and book in with the community midwife.

I feel like a massive weight has lifted

FoscarC · 23/07/2014 18:23

zyla that is fantastic news and must be such a relief.

A false positive! Oh no. How on earth does that happen. Poor love.

smoke I used to exercise twice a day, eat no carbs at all and very limited fruit due to the high sugar content (what a weirdo), and since getting pregnant I can't do anything. I haven't exercised in weeks and eat crap all day long. And I am now a right fatty!! Discussed this with the midwife and it's quite normal due to lack of energy but I hope to get back into it in a few weeks once I'm over the worst of it. I'm just listening to my body which is mainly saying 'eat chicken dippers and lay down'.

tannyLoo · 23/07/2014 18:30

Foscar what a coincidence! Mine is saying the same thing!

I know, a false positive is really shit! I saw the photo and I could see a line, but it was a duff test. Don't do Superdrug own brand!

My heart is beating so bloody fast I don't need to do any exercise, it would probably kill me. 98bpm. Normally a very unhealthy 80...

Dinnerfor1 · 23/07/2014 18:48

I'm really struggling to do any exercise with the heat and tiredness! But I really need to, as I am already quite overweight. I put on so much weight during my last pregnancy and never lost any. I really can't afford to do the same again. I'm a teacher and on summer holiday at the moment, so I'm going to make sure I go for at least one walk each day.

fourmonthstogo · 23/07/2014 18:56

Now I want chicken dippers FoscarC!

Congratulations zyla, that's fantastic.

I'm doing okay with exercise,as long as I do it in the morning. Actually,I find it helps me feel less sick. Come the end of the day I'm done for though. My three mile walk home last night made me right grumpy!

Are any of you others on 2nd or later babies finding this one so much harder to hide? I know we've touched on this before but I really have no idea how I'm going to get away with this for another 5 weeks!

M27J5M · 23/07/2014 18:58

Persepolis I got an early scan last time bcos I'd had 2 mc's previously, I just asked and the doc said he was gonna advise it anyways so I'm hoping the same will apply this time but will need to wait another 2 weeks to ask :0 if not then depending on how I'm feeling I'll look into going private

PickledPorcupine · 23/07/2014 19:02

I've been worried in overdoing it with exercise. Still cycling about 15 miles a day but making sure I'm keeping well hydrated. I also play a lot of netball but I'm going to stop at 8 weeks (only because I'm worried about other players bumping into me and it's making me paranoid).

life you need a piss pot!!

PickledPorcupine · 23/07/2014 19:03

*worried I'm

M27J5M · 23/07/2014 19:03

I'm on my 2nd fourmonths and defo finding it harder to hide to the extent a very close client (been doing her hair for years) asked me last night if I was preg lol I was a little shocked she could tell and fessed up

PickledPorcupine · 23/07/2014 19:07

I can't believe she asked M27!

FoscarC · 23/07/2014 19:08

I think Alsop blood pressure, currently 85/55, also means I may pass out if I do too much. I am still doing weekly yoga. And walking when I can be bothered. I work from 8am until 5pm daily and don't generally get a lunch time so I'm too shattered to do exercise during the week at the moment. I need to make sure I use my lunch properly and do exercise then.

FoscarC · 23/07/2014 19:09

Also, not Alsop!

NotAQueef · 23/07/2014 19:12

Yes to finding this pg harder to hide was in my jeans til 31 weeks last time and didn't spend so much of my day gagging when talking to people and unable to even talk about food.

got a letter from hospital today to say my named midwife would call soon to arrange home visit booking in. v happy about that, so much nicer than waiting amongst the masses of pg wonen at King's last time. clearly some benefits to moving to the sticks Colchester

nothing tastes the same anymore so much so that haven't eaten any chocolate for more than 4 weeks Shock

going shopping on sat with ny sis for a dress to wear to 2 weddings. I can already tell nothing will fit my mammoth boobs and skim over my stomach without looking like a maternity dress!

Welcome to the new joiners, still can't believe how many of us there are!

sending dp up to the loft to dig out my pg pillow - I neeeed it back in my lifeSmile

headlesschicken247 · 23/07/2014 19:26

It's crazy I'm finding it really hard to hide already and I'm only 5 weeks. People are bound to guess soon. I guess 2nd time round it's going to show earlier

ohfourfoxache · 23/07/2014 19:32

I'm 7+1 and I feel like I'm the size of a house Sad

Even DH has noticed Sad

And my boobs are enormous and sore Sad

Sorry - just a general whinge

M27J5M · 23/07/2014 19:33

Oh she was nice when she asked, she just said I had that preg look, I'm naturally very thin and said she could see my body changing and my boobs have got massive! She is actually the 1 person I really didn't mind asking, she knows me so well

mrsa hiya, I'm 7+3, ds is 3 and the result of 8 yrs ttc and 3rd round IVF. gave up trying for number 2 then remembered I was on aspirin for my ivf meds (among many others!!) so thought I'd give it a go..... Faint positive in dec that didn't stick (1st cycle on aspirin) pregnancy in jan that mc'd then 3 months on steroids, soon as they stopped I fell immediately for this one! Doctor was surprised! I'm 42 so time is running out!

fourmonths yep! been there long enough to get SMP, and going to postpone telling them until after probationary period passed. Just hoping that they'll still like me enough to hire me back after maternity... Grin If not, not sure how we'll manage on one income!

Rainbow555 · 23/07/2014 20:52

notaqueef I have not eaten chocolate for weeks either!! Or anything much that is sweet. Just want savoury carbs all the time!
Not loving breakfast this morning, I just about got it down but not sure if it will stay there!

Hi to all newbies :)

I didn't do much exercise before but do lots of Pilates and really struggled this week, just no energy to do it and what with feeling sick blurgh!

Skyped with my mum last night and her friend was ther too and they both said how well (?!) I was looking and that I was all bouncy and glowing....no I am just super tired and nauseas all the time no one knows yet so that was a bit weird!
