Hi is it OK if I join please? I'm due dd2 on the 6th November. Excited but very nervous as had bad luck in past.
Another fan for lactulose.

weeonion · 16/07/2014 07:18

Hey picklebum!!

blamber · 16/07/2014 10:48

I do feel kicks all over and can see my belly move despite of the placenta being in the way. I don't feel many other movements, except sometimes a pressure and swirling low down.

I'm going to keep track of times he kicks to see if there's a pattern even though I'm only 22 weeks. So far I've felt him at least once every half hour since half eight or so.

Hi Picklebum and all the other ladies

I lover that we're still getting newbies in the group Grin

I'm a little upset as I've just discovered I have to sell my beloved Smart Car. Apparently you can't use a car seat in it unless it's a stupidly expensive Mercedes branded one AND you then to pay them to disable the airbag. No point as it expensive and will only work in this car. So it has to go and I have to get a sensible car - sniff! Confused

TwigletFiend · 16/07/2014 13:23

Hi Picklebum, welcome to the thread!

I'm a member of the anterior placenta brigade too. I can definitely feel movement now and can sometimes see my belly 'pulse' at the site where Bean kicks, but only really feel movement along my sides or, occasionally, very low down, just above my pubic bone. Nothing in the middle at all really, and even the things I do feel tend to be quite faint and fluttery - sort of like an internal flick, rather than a strong poke. Have had one or two good thumps in the past 10 days maybe. Ditto for when I'm lying down/in the evening - definitely more noticeable then.

Brand, I also have to sell my car Sad I drive a Suzuki Jimny with a soft top, which I absolutely adore. But it's only two door and has literally no boot with the back seats up - practical for mud/snow when trying to get to various fields full of horses, not so much for transporting child and associated paraphernalia around. Waah!

BrandSnob · 16/07/2014 14:43

Sorry if I upset anyone

Just got really upset after seeing a FB post about the Radford Family (16 Kids and Counting), whose baby boy due in November was born sleeping recently. I know it's not new news, but I only saw the post about the funeral today. Thanks

Positive thoughts for the rest of us and making it through to the finish line with happy and healthy babies! Thanks

flowersinthegarden · 16/07/2014 14:54

Hello, can I join please? Been lurking for a long while but too scared to join in case I jinxed things! I'm expecting my first, due 17th November :-)

Strawberryfield12 · 16/07/2014 15:21

flowersinthegarden welcome!

moggle · 16/07/2014 15:22

Hi flowers! Same here! Do you know what you're having?

flowersinthegarden · 16/07/2014 15:38

Hi Strawberry, moggle we found out that we're expecting a boy, how about you?

TwigletFiend · 16/07/2014 15:43

Hi flowers, another due-date buddy here too. Welcome to the thread, and congratulations on your DS! Is it your first?

flowersinthegarden · 16/07/2014 16:03

Hi Twiglet, yes this is our first, excited and terrified in equal amounts here I think!

blamber · 16/07/2014 16:30

Hello new joiners and welcome! Please add your due date to the list. I will send a link when I get home and can get on the laptop!

picklebum2011 · 16/07/2014 17:17

Thanks for welcome. I too have anterior placenta been using one of dd`s old rattles in the evening which generally makes her move more. Such an amazing feeling.
How is everyone feeling in the heat? I normally love it but finding it a bit hard going trying to keep dd entertained all day and not melt.
Has anyone else got a DC starting school in September? my dd has had a couple of transition mornings and cried which made me feel terrible. I know I'm going to be a wreck in September!!

picklebum2011 · 16/07/2014 17:18

Hi blamber my due date is 6th November.
Hi flowers

bunnykitten · 16/07/2014 17:21

Hi flowers and picklebum - welcome!

ladydolly · 16/07/2014 18:35

brandsnob me too! Smart car gone, now have a very boring focus. I was away when DP sold the smart car so he filmed it being driven away and I'm not ashamed to say I cried!

Also in the anterior gang but loads of movement down low and really high, under my boobs, she must just be swimming around in there (might explain why I'm ginormous). Nothing at the front though.

Petal26 · 16/07/2014 20:17

Survived my 10 hour day at school with parent's evenings all done for another year!
Have been getting thumped all day, he's reminding me that he's there :-) Mines an anterior placenta too, I feel most things quite low down, very low down at the front!
Only 1 and a half days left of school until I get to have a rest :-)

blamber · 16/07/2014 20:30

Can the new joiners and those who haven't been able to do it yet add their due dates to the list? It's been updated with those who gave their details in the thread because they couldn't access it.

Linky

Petal26 · 16/07/2014 21:14

Crying in the first 5 minutes of OBEM tonight, I'm a tired hormonal mess!

CraziesTogether · 16/07/2014 21:16

Hi ladies,

Glad to hear everyone is progressing well.

I can't edit on my phone.

Please can someone add me to the list DC1, baby girl due 1st Nov.
Thanks :)

PopcornFrenzy · 16/07/2014 21:20

Petal you're not alone, the man shouting help had me Grin

Petal26 · 16/07/2014 21:30

Popcorn, I know second labours are apparently faster, I hope I don't have baby in the car park!

PopcornFrenzy · 16/07/2014 21:34

I'm going for a home birth so hopefully I won't be getting in any cars! This is my second too...
