cookielove · 13/07/2014 19:23

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 10th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

There is a stats thread here but its a zombie thread so enter at your own risk....... eeeeek

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 26th outing!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, Pm me!

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

Oh god popz that does sound stressful. Fx that it wasn't a wasted effort and that they can see you're perfect for the job!

Nessa I've just been chatting to you about pushchairs on another thread and didn't realise it was you! Anyway it's inspired me to get ready and go to the pram shop to find out about converting my pushchair.

wilmabedrock · 10/08/2014 11:16

Sorry popz, forgot to answer question. I'm 17 weeks. About 2 behind you I think?

Horace we haven't actually changed to a duvet yet! Keep meaning to but she sleeps so well I'm scared to jinx it! I think she may be ok with the duvet but she hates pillows.

cookielove · 10/08/2014 11:48

wil does she need a pillow?

OP posts:
wilmabedrock · 10/08/2014 14:30

No I'm sure she doesn't. Should really buy a duvet. Buggy was a no go so think I'll just do buggy board and sling.

RPopz · 10/08/2014 14:34

What do they sleep on/ in now?? #novice

RPopz · 10/08/2014 14:38

I'm worried this One Thing After Another situation I seem to be in lately is going to extend to the 20 week scan on Friday.... Sad Confused.

wilmabedrock · 10/08/2014 14:52

No it is not popz, positive thoughts. You're just getting it all out the way before the scan. MiniWil sleeps in a baby sleeping bag. They're great for babies over a month or so, especially in the winter as they can't kick them off. Also stop risk of smothering by blankets.

JuniDD · 10/08/2014 15:41

Hugs to you rpopz, agree with wil, just getting the stress out of the way before a wonderful scan. Sorry about the dog too, hope you can find someone new/decent asap.

Sorry about the pain cookie and ness Sad. Hope you can get some relief soon.

I keep getting really scared about the labour/birth bit, particularly when I'm tired. Had a dream about it so had a little cry this morning and have tried to move on today. I've got ten weeks!

Hope you're all having nice Sundays. I'm about to go into the office to clear all of my crap out before my last day. Which has been moved forward to tomorrow, hurrah!

wilmabedrock · 10/08/2014 16:14

Hurrah on last day Juni! Try not to focus on the birth. I'm not the best person to advise on such matters but the majority of people really do have a straight forward time of it. And even if they don't, they still get through it ok. I had a crap time and I'm still willing to go through it again!

I think prepare yourself with all the knowledge you'll need and then just try to go with the flow and not be too rigid in decision making as things can go wildly different from what you expect (in a good or a bad way). I would say I wasn't actually scared at any point even though it was fairly torturous!

HungryHorace · 10/08/2014 17:27

DD is also in a sleeping bag, but I refuse to fork out for new, 18-36 month ones and she'll be growing out of her current ones soon. She also stands up in her cot bed and trips herself up, banging her head on the way down, so they aren't ideal for her now either.

I might go back to sheet and blanket for now and hope it's a good transition to the duvet. So complicated!

Juni, last day tomorrow? That's come round quickly. Lucky you! Do you have anything planned to fill your mat leave with?

JuniDD · 10/08/2014 18:08

My psycho colleague decided that a week before I leave was the ideal time to step up the bullying so management suggested I just go asap. Possibly not the ideal way to deal with it but I'm happy! Just feel sorry for my nice colleague who will now be in the firing line Sad

I'm going to see my friends! Haven't hardly seen anyone for ages, see my family, potter about at home. If I get really bored I'll look at the next year of my course, try not to buy too much stuff for the baby, do my exercises etc. I'll possibly be on here a bit more Wink.

Just chatted to MrJuni about the birth thing and we've agreed to try for a home birth...feel a lot better about it all now. Who knows what will happen but it's good to feel we're on the same page at least! I must stop reading these threads on here and focus on my Birth Skills books and so on to get more positive.

I have a real block with sheets/bedding. My mum asked me if I had pram sheets and I was like "pram you-what-now?!". Luckily my SIL was there and said she'd sort me out. Something to be said for ending up being the last to get there instead of the first!

RPopz · 10/08/2014 19:17

Bloody hell Juni what's she been doing?? Exciting that you only have one day left though!! Doesn't seem two minutes since it was still a secret Smile

I always thought I'd love a homebirth but probably not a great idea loving in a tiny mid terrace... Hmm

Took the pup out earlier with a pocket full of cheese and carrot... managed to make a bit of progress with him so hopefully all is not lost. It's looking like we'll have to leave him with the sitter at least one more time tho as we're going to a wedding next weekend and its too short notice to find anyone else... Confused

Can feel babypopz bubbling away in there a lot this week Grin

RPopz · 10/08/2014 19:17

*living!!

wilmabedrock · 10/08/2014 19:23

Haha freudian slip popz!

Juni that's awful. Do you plan on going back to work after having the baby and if so will the nasty cow still be there?

RPopz · 10/08/2014 19:56

Haha well we obviously didn't mind loving in a tiny mid terrace Wink Grin

JuniDD · 10/08/2014 20:55

Hehe, nice slip there!

Comments are being made about things being different this time next year so guess I'll see if she's still there! I intend to look for a new job around May time though.

There's been loads of stuff - lying about me, ignoring, snidey comments etc The end of the road for me was sitting in a team meeting with colleagues & manager and she starting verbally laying into me for about ten minutes going on and on haranguing me, about nothing really. The funny thing is that she's shit at her job and I do everything! I just thought, I've got a week to go, can't she just keep her neck wound in for 5 bloody days?! I asked to jig my leave around so I could do my last week when she's on holiday and they said I may as well just go when I want. Not worth the stress. So here we are!

Does anyone else forget they are pregnant then go to get up or move or something and remember cos it's difficult? Tee hee!

wilmabedrock · 10/08/2014 21:01

Constantly forget I'm pregnant. I'm still not convinced that I am.

Did noone say anything to her in the meeting? I do not understand how people grow up to think this is acceptable behaviour.

Nessalina · 10/08/2014 23:07

Hey all Smile
Juni - I totally sympathise, why can't people just wind their necks in when you're only about for a few days more?! Crazy. It's also pretty weird that your management seem well aware that she's bullying you but haven't taken any action Hmm
I'm back in work tomorrow after a lovely week off! In with my personal work demon, but she's off for two weeks come next week, so I reckon I can hold out. I've only got 29 more working days Grin and only 16 of them with her, so hopefully we can muddle along together without her finding any other random issues to complain about. I'd love to go off a bit earlier, so fed up with work now, but I don't want to lose the leave at the other end Sad
As Wil saw already, I've been on a pushchair mission this weekend! Think we've got it narrowed down, but it's so hard! Went to John Lewis who were absolutely lovely - a chap spent over 30mins with us answering a million questions and showing me everything I needed to know on about 4 different travel systems, he was fab Smile
Hellos to everyone else Smile, sorry to hear everyone seems to either have nausea or random pains! Shock My weird ligament pain has not returned thank fuck and other than a bit of weird lightheaded ness I've been feeling pretty ok.
Ooh, I bought a hypno birthing book! I'm learning how to breathe Grin

ZylaB · 11/08/2014 02:54

Just woken up to find this, guess he found some tissue and then wore himself out with it, aahhhh. Problem is, it's 2.55am and I can't get back to sleep!!

ZylaB · 11/08/2014 02:55

Am 10 weeks today, got scan and bloods for nifty test today hopefully.

ZylaB · 11/08/2014 02:57

ness what pushchairs have you narrowed it down to? Pushchairs are like porn for me atm hehe

And sorry for 3 posts straight after one another, I'm rubbish at reading/thinking everything all in one go!

RPopz · 11/08/2014 08:04

Ooh pushchairs! What you getting Ness?? Ours is still sitting in the Mothercare delivery room while we figure out what the heck to do with it til January... DH is adamant it's not allowed in the house... Angry Glad the pain has let up anyway. Isn't it weird how its out of this world one day and then you wake up the next and its gone!!

Haha Zyla I can't see the pic but I guess it's a naughty animal of some description... I feel your pain Wink

wilmabedrock · 11/08/2014 08:14

Isn't he going to have to get used to it being in the house popz, assuming you don't have a garage? Once you get the nursery decorated you could just bung it in there for time being? We normally keep ours in the car boot.

Can't see picture either zyla, do you have a million bits of white tissue all over the house?

ZylaB · 11/08/2014 09:23

No, it's not too bad, just a chewed bit of paper being clutched in a tired kitten's paws :) :)

cookielove · 11/08/2014 09:56

Hello all,

How is everyone!
