cookielove · 13/07/2014 19:23

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 10th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

There is a stats thread here but its a zombie thread so enter at your own risk....... eeeeek

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 26th outing!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, Pm me!

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

Good work cookie! We still have that job to do .

Is the Juju (?) book good Juni? I saw people talking about in on here somewhere and wondered if that is what I need.

popz I am totally feeling your pain. Don't remember it being so sore last time. Probably just selective memory though. I think you're right about cot. May have to rethink things as I get fatter and can't lean over the sides though.

JuniDD · 02/08/2014 20:27

The Juju book is pretty good, I think. It chimes in with Lazy Daisy about repetition helping you remember stuff so when you get to labour it's second nature. There's a bit of a homework element which I am shit at doing but hoping to form a bit of a timetable for preparation once I'm on maternity leave (in TWO WEEKS. WHOOP!).

We've started on the junk clearance but as a hoardy mchoaderperson, it's gonna take a while, particularly as I can't bend and keep needing lie downs...

cookielove · 02/08/2014 21:28

Juni you are on maternity before me!!

It's a bit Shock, but I'm going as soon as legally possible due to psycho colleague who stresses me out so much. It's a pretty stressful job anyway without people lying and back-stabbing. Sad It's a shame as I really like my other colleague but gotta put me & Thumper first.

Has mini-cookie been back to normal today?

cookielove · 02/08/2014 22:56

Yup he is back to being crazy baby!

I'm jealous, I wish I was leaving earlier but want to take a year so trying to get paid for as long as possible. At least 6 weeks to go!

ah, glad mini-cookie is back on good form. Mini-Juni has been a bit quiet today but perking up as I head to bed...how did it get to midnight?! ARGH!

wil, Here's a thread on Juju you might be interested in. Ignore the AIBU bit, only lasts a couple of posts! Wink

wilmabedrock · 03/08/2014 07:44

Thanks juni, it sounds really good, think I'll try it. Had no control over anything last time.

Well I may have broken my shopping rule and sorted out a cot. But only because a friend was selling one. This poor baby is already getting everything second hand.

Nessalina · 03/08/2014 09:55

Testing to see if my app is letting me post...

Nessalina · 03/08/2014 09:56

Grrr, it works on here, but I've been trying to add a post on another thread for aaaaages and it won't work!

RPopz · 03/08/2014 10:07

Careful Ness ... I thought that once and then ended up posting the same message about 57 times!! Blush

RPopz · 03/08/2014 10:21

OMG I'M DYING.... MIL has text this morning.... Apparently it's Forgiveness day on Steve Wright's Sunday love songs.... Hmm "so how about we call a truce?"

(In other words, I've realised what a massive ass I've been AGAIN, but I'm not going to actually apologise... and I can't send anymore nasty emails since you didn't rise to my last one...)
Hmmm....

Nessalina · 03/08/2014 10:41

Oooooh! That's tricky Rpopz... I'd be sorely tempted to continue ignoring, but it makes it so much harder when she's making peace. Not sure I'd be able to resist replying with a 'Glad you can see that you were being unreasonable, we forgive you' Grin
Silly cow!

Figured it out - MN Local thread, you have to set yourself up with a nickname on it before you can post on the app! Done it, and it let me lost then Smile

ZylaB · 03/08/2014 10:44

Lol rpopz

Sorry I shouldn't laugh, but really... Forgiveness day? Ask her if that means she's admitting she's behaved in a way that needs you to forgive her? ;)

wilmabedrock · 03/08/2014 11:56

God she really is a one popz! Imagine how she's going to react when baby is here and she'll be a step further down the priority list.

RPopz · 03/08/2014 14:26

I think we're going to have to respond in some way. If we ignore then it's like we're prolonging the argument... But I'm def keeping her at arms length. Not going to forget her delightful little threat in a hurry!

Nessalina · 03/08/2014 15:21

My mother has just told me that both me and my brother were a week early!! Good grief. I was counting on being late!

RPopz · 03/08/2014 15:25

My "first babies are always late" theory is always thwarted by my bf whose first born was 3 weeks early! She had one day of mat leave before going into labour!!

wilmabedrock · 03/08/2014 15:43

I think it's true based on completely anecdotal evidence of me and my friends that you have a labour like your mum. So you had best get yourself ready early Ness!

Nessalina · 03/08/2014 17:17

My only consolation is that 30yrs ago they didn't do dating scans so maybe her dates weren't right?!
My mum laughed at me when I said that the baby was going to be sleeping in our room for 6 months because that was what was recommended! She was like 'nah, you'll have him out before the month is out' Hmm I need to see if there's some sort of Baby Book for out-of-date Grandmas!

wilmabedrock · 03/08/2014 17:28

Hahahaha in fairness she may have a point. Think we lasted 4 1/2 months. They're not as quiet as you think they'll be and when they get a bit bigger some babies prefer the space of a cot.

Pisghetti · 03/08/2014 17:43

That book looks interesting - thanks Juni

Sounds like a sensible approach Popz accept the olive branch while it is there but keep at arms length hereafter.

DS was two weeks late, DP was apparently four weeks late (!!!!) but I was one of the few born on my due date. My mum swears she willed me out because she was going to be induced and she's petrified of needles.

We told DS on Friday. After dinner I produced an IC and a cup of wee (he didn't know what either was) and declared we were going to do a cool science trick. We got the double line, I showed him the back of the pack and he agreed that meant the special chemical we were looking for was there then I turned the pack around to show him what it was for and he sobbed on my shoulder for a good ten minutes. He swears he'll keep it a secret but he's over the moon with excitement Grin

RPopz · 03/08/2014 18:09

Awww Pis that's brilliant!! Bless him for being so excited at an age when enthusiasm for anything is terminally uncool Wink

The thing about this Mum thing is which Labour do you get!?! I was naughty and feet first and caesareaned... my sister flew out in about 20 minutes!!

wilmabedrock · 03/08/2014 18:53

Oh haha I don't know in that case Popz! Maybe it means you'll have an easy labour so long as baby is in the right position?! clutching at straws and refusing to admit theory doesn't work. My mum had two crap labours so I'm not holding out much hope Grin .

wilmabedrock · 03/08/2014 18:54

Oh also meant to say, that is so sweet Pis, bless him.

JuniDD · 03/08/2014 19:22

Ahh, I had a thread "will my labour be like my mum's" and most people said no! Can link if you like. It was when my mum was trying to scare me and it really helped brave me up.

I feel like poop today. Hope it improves for work tomorrow!
