MW said to keep an eye on swelling, seeing as its only 1 foot and not going down much overnight. Baby is still transverse so bump is wide not round. Have been wondering what body part was poking out the past week (it was the bum!)
I wish I didn't still have 8 full weeks left to work Sad
Right off in search of ice cream, hehe

JellyBeansHaveNoAgeLimit · 11/07/2014 15:03

Good luck to your sister bump, must be an awful worry. Will she be going for further testing?

Definitely feeling the need for bigger pants, currently washing my 2 maternity pairs as quickly as i can so i don't have to wear the cutting in ones!

Just got back from a lovely lunch with DH & DS and i am SOOO full, thank god i have the baby bump otherwise i would have a rather sizable food bump! Still planning on eating the huge slice of cheesecake we got to take away though Grin

mrsb87 · 11/07/2014 16:42

Omg so so tired. Off to sunny Wales tomorrow for a week by the sea side! I have just over 6 weeks til my mat leave starts, we have another sale and launch to plan, stock take and our assistant manager is having major surgery on her foot in 2 weeks so I will be covering for her til I leave. Thank goodness I have a week off now!
I haven't packed a thing yet and I have the whole house to clean yet too. I just want to have a sleep first Sad

fedupofrainydays · 11/07/2014 17:59

I have two sets of maternity clothes - stuff that fits til about 32 weeks then enormous stuff for the end. I just get so broad both in the back and in the hips! I'm one of those that doesn't just get a big bump - I get big everywhere!

Pregnantagain7 · 11/07/2014 18:08

Whoop whoop I passed the gtt!! Was not expecting that at all my levels were slightly higher than previous gtts I've had but still within the normal range, so pleased celebrated with magnum!!
pusscous don't be jealous I had a finger prick and a proper blood test for fasting blood sugar!
Hope everyone's feeling good ok today, I'm really relieved that I don't have gd yet and desperately trying to ignore the piles sticking out of my bumBlushGrin

Someone please come & make me dinner? Long day at work & DH & DD have deserted me this evening for a visit to my MIL, positive consequence is no 5am wake up call tomorrow but downside, have to get butt off sofa & make own dinner!

Pregnantagain7 · 11/07/2014 18:44

cj call a takeaway! Or ice cream is considered a totally acceptable evening meal in this house! :)

ExcitedCJ · 11/07/2014 18:48

Pregnant I was nearly lured by the temptation of the Cornetto stash, however I managed to fling something at the oven! :)
Ice cream for after & then to bed with a good book.

Bumpforme2014 · 11/07/2014 20:30

Thanks for comments everyone, yes she is waiting for further blood test results due in two weeks but I am thinking positive thoughts.

My bump is quite high even though baby's head is low down, I also do not like the feeling of my boobs resting on my bump, glad to know it's not just me! Bump is still quite soft to squish and started to get sore sides and ribs when sat at my desk today!

No plans this weekend either other than trying to catch that damn mouse.

fedupofrainydays · 11/07/2014 20:38

Just ordered pizza takeaway Grin

cabster · 11/07/2014 20:50

I spent a very uncomfortable 15 minutes at my desk with either a leg or an arm wedged under my ribcage, cheers Boris!

Having an empire-line bump doesn't help, envious of all of you with a gap between your boobs and bumps.

Never mind! Am about to get my revenge on the poor little sod. Frozen yoghurt here I come Grin

sazzlehopes · 11/07/2014 21:11

I too have the boob on bump/bump on thigh thingy which is odd when I'm normally flat chested!
I'm 29 weeks tomorrow and the kicks I'm feeling are quite vicious! Sometimes I'm actually yelping! I'm sure if I looked down I'd be able to see an actual hand or foot...speaking of movements how do you all know which way your baby is facing? I've got no idea where mine is really relative to movement!

MundayCakes85 · 11/07/2014 21:48

My MW told me what way baby was lying- had an idea as I keep getting a hard lump on one side. Kicking not as bad recently, more pushing and rolling movement.
In actual pain after Indian takeaway tonight- think my stomach is getting smaller Confused

Oh good luck buggarlugs we had ours last weekend, try to have a full bladder, they didn't tell me too and I went to loo just before which lead to me having to go away and have a drink before coming back later! It's amazing having the DVD to watch afterwards because you can't take it all in during the scan.

ExcitedCJ · 11/07/2014 22:02

Holy good moly! I'm getting kicked to bits tonight! He must have been having a growth spurt this week as this is the most lively he has been since Sunday.

Kirstipops · 11/07/2014 23:12

Sazzle I'm the same, yelped a few times after being volleyed in my sides this week! Either that or just big jerky movements that seem to make my whole torso judder! Today was a new experience, the sensation of a jerking hiccupy baby down near my knicker region Grin, kicks are all in my right side today, assuming wee one's head is facing the same direction.
Hope you get a fab pic tomorrow Lugs :)

Back at my parents after a lovely week away. My sister is here and giving me the rage about her stupid wedding though Angry. She has no concept of real life! I have also realised that all the money we had marked for nursery furniture is now going to have to be spent on going to her wedding in petrol, accommodation, making her cake and new dress/ suit for DH and I so am in a REALLY bad mood this morning!

On brighter news I only have 4 full weeks of work left then 3 weeks of 3 days Grin

Knicker wise I am now in size 20 from Tescos, normally 12 - 14 but the big ones are soooo comfortable. I was told by a few people that big pants are as good as maternity ones. Mine were 2 for 4 pairs so if they get messy post birth I can just bin them.

mrsb87 · 12/07/2014 10:32

So hot.....so so hot. Trying to pack to go away today isn't going well. The heat just keeps overwhelming me and I have to sit down. Luckily dh is being very helpful. Don't know what I'd do without him sometimes.
I won myself a changing bag on ebay, £33 all in. Should be £80 new so quite chuffed Smile

Kirstipops · 12/07/2014 10:44

Bargain Mrsb! I can be a bit fussy over buying a normal bag so I think a changing bag is gonna be a 'mare now I have to think function as well! I hung up a load of washing and put another away, then did a vague kitchen tidy-up, it's crazy how knackering it is!?

mum2kiss · 12/07/2014 11:42

Went to an nct sale this morning...very disappointing :( the hall was tiny, crowded and the items for sale were way over priced! One lady was selling a cotton padded pram suit That had seen better days! It had bobbling all over it so had clearly been through the wash a number of times and she wanted £10 for it! I didn't see anything that could be considered nearly new...

Now we're off to the outlaws...yay!!!

binks are you having to make and pay for the wedding cake!?

mum2 I always think the NCT ones are hell! And don't find much at those. Some of the 'cherished' ones are much better and less hectic. Got loads of bargains for ds at one of those when he was about 6 months.

Really think this baby is a boy now - going to be shocked if it's a girl!! But exciting whatever and I love the guessing game!
