I bought some mat knickers and they're much lower and more comfy than my old ones.
Anyone else getting swollen feet? I've had a hippo foot all day, just the left one, and it's sore and annoying Sad

ohthegoats · 10/07/2014 22:41

I'm still in my normal pants - but only the low rise shorts things. Having said that, they were up my bum all day today and being really annoying, so I think it's time to bite the bullet and go up a size (cry).

It's now that I'm going to start being careful about what I eat. Not dieting or anything, just not eating loads of crap. Caught sight of myself in a window at school today and had minor panic. Arse cannot get bigger.

STIGZ · 10/07/2014 23:05

Think my trapped wind is a lot do with how my bump is sitting.,. Its sitting so high!! And i can hear all the wind moving around the top & sides !! I was the same last time & never dropped as she was breech and never turned !! ... Wonder if this wee one has the same sense of direction as her sister (",)

How is everyone elses bump sitting ?

I have tried wind eaze, rennies & rennie deflatine, pepper mint tea, hot water, hot water & sugar, hot water & lemon, soda water( going to purchase hot water bottle & try that)., doctor says that there is nothing she can prescribe due to pregnancy... Im open to all suggestions but think i have tried everything suggested by DR google :(

Kirstipops · 10/07/2014 23:26

Sorry to hear about your worrying day Bump

cJ same thing happened to me earlier in the week, really uncomfortable! I've been doing these positions and think I've moved baby back to head down! Google the "inversion" (headstandy) one to make sure it's OK for you to do it tho.

I've had slightly swollen feet for the last 4 weeks or so, it's never sore, just doesnt look pretty! I just make sure to put them up in the evenings.
I'm 29 weeks on Saturday and still in my usual undercrackers, think I'll get some new bigger ones too though as I am noticing too that I'm getting more wedgies lately :P

Ah ffs sorry! It said the post hadn't worked with picture attachments so I deleted them and reworded the post... Gah...bedtime for me

ExcitedCJ · 10/07/2014 23:36

Your 4 posts are much appreciated Kirsti :) I'll look them up tomorrow. X

fedupofrainydays · 10/07/2014 23:55

I need bigger pants really - my hips have got wider. So it's all tighter. But not quite ready for the enormous size I bought last time!!

Been working til now. Ugh. BUT only 18 days left at to go!

ExcitedCJ · 11/07/2014 06:38

Fedup 18 days?? I have 40 days. Am I due in a different year?

fedupofrainydays · 11/07/2014 06:45

Ugh. Awake at 5.30 with horrendous leg cramps!!didnt get these last successful pregnancy but they are so painful!!

I work 3 days a week so it's 6 weeks. Finishing end of aug and one week is holiday. So 18 actual days at work!!

ohthegoats · 11/07/2014 06:52

Because of school holidays, I've got 17 and a half days left at work. 4 and a half next week, 13 in September - but that takes me up to almost my due date, so if it's early at all, then less than that. What a nice thought, frankly it's exhausting me at the moment.

ExcitedCJ · 11/07/2014 07:07

Goats & Fedup lucky lucky ducks. I am exhausted & the thought of 8 more weeks is enough to make me cry after another 5:30am toddler start!
Fedup I get the leg cramps too, nothing much seems to work to keep them at bay, although on days when mega hydrated don't seem to get them. I feel your pain, I've been writhing around on the floor massaging my calfs and thinking I'm about to pass out! I'm hoping I get them instead of pre-eclampsia, I'd be happy with that trade.

MrsDinoRawr · 11/07/2014 07:14

Goats I teach and only have 20 working days left but I can loose 4 of those to ppa and inset days!

Gtt was surprisingly ok yesterday. Never had anyone find it easy to get blood out of me until yesterday. Perhaps because she listened and went for my hand the first time then between my knuckles (ouch) the second time and didn't even try my arms. The drink tasted like some awful squash and made me feel sick. Couldn't wait to eat my lunch and sat on a bench outside the hospital and ate it in the sun while I waited for my husband to pick me up. Slept all the way home. Then threw all my lunch up as soon as I walked in. Then slept until 5pm... So glad I had supply booked all day and didn't go back in. Just waiting on results now.

Pregnancy has obviously made me a slacker. Just asked my teaching assistant if I could have a lift as car is in the garage and she lives close by. She said do you want me to leave later than usual to give you more time... Yes my TA gets to school before I drag my huge pregnant ass in most days - oops.

Someone I was talking to couldn't believe I wasn't wearing maternity knickers. I am just on my normal m&s bikini style knickers. I was to embarrassed to ask at the time but as you guys are all so friendly... What's special about maternity knickers? Does anyone get that feeling in a dress that the bottom of your bump sticks to the top of your legs when you are sat down on hot days? Or is that just me? Will maternity knickers stop that???

Last thing... How is it Friday again!!! The weeks are flying by!!!

Bumpforme2014 · 11/07/2014 07:17

Thanks guys, we are just going to think positive and hopefully it will all be fine. In other news I have woken up to mouse poo in my living room (sigh) I've had them on and off continually since I lived here. My neighbours are nasty and don't clean their houses on both sides so they are invested and I get the odd one and two, not good for a pregnant woman though. This week sucks!

fedupofrainydays · 11/07/2014 07:22

bump I used to get mice in an old flat, it was a nightmare. So really feel your pain. Understand it's not what you would want when preg.

Sitting like a zombie on the sofa - thank god I don't have to work today! Got a new work phone and struggling to work out how to turn it on to silent and stop it making noises when email arrives. Anyone got a samsung galaxy? Think it's a 4s or similar. Not really the phone type but it's big if that gives a clue!

pinkfizzsparkles · 11/07/2014 07:47

Sorry to all those who've endured the GTT - sounds awful. Think I've escaped that test.

8 working days till maternity leave for me! Woo hoo! Another teacher and I work 4 days a week. I've got next week and I'm doing the first week back in September (just covering which will be great). That gives me 3 weeks at home if it comes when it's due. I sympathize with those of you with longer, I'm exhausted and would struggle.

Had the whooping cough jab yesterday. My arm is so achy today. I'd read on another thread that it makes your arm feel like lead. I can vouch for that. I tend to turn over in bed every few hours because my pelvis aches but struggled to do that last night as I couldn't lie on it.

mrsdino i upgraded to big pants about a month ago. My normal pants were digging in at the tops of my expanding thighs. They're unsightly but comfortable, it kind of tucks everything in if you know what I mean?! I don't like the feeling of my boobs sitting on top of my bump, I'm normally small in that department and don't have that normally so it feels really wierd having my boobs perched on my bump!

Thank god it's Friday!!

Kirstipops · 11/07/2014 08:05

8 weeks today til mat leave for me, whoop! And it's only actually 35 working days as one of those weeks I have as annual leave. I'm envious of the teachers who have less but also glad I haven't had to teach classes of kids for the last 7 months so you ladies have definitely earned it!
Dino yep I feel like my bump touches my thighs when I'm sitting on the floor! Also weird is having sweaty under-boob regions if I'm pottering about the house with no bra on. I had small pre-preggo mamms so it's weird now to actually be well endowed enough to droop Grin.
Ahhh Friday, I have zero plans this weekend too, yass!

MundayCakes85 · 11/07/2014 08:59

28 week appt today- am going to mention the trotter feet and the under-boob rib ache. I'm sure it's all normal but good to ask.
I'm off to Majorca for a week tomorrow. Can't wait to get in a swimming pool and drink mocktails Grin And at least the hotel has aircon!

I've got 15 weeks (if I get to term) of 3 day weeks. So 45 days. Physically its easier than full time childcare though so I'm not complaining!

AnnoyedByAlfieBear · 11/07/2014 10:30

I've saved my annual leave so I'm going off at the end of Aug. But I only work 2 days a week anyway so not long for me! Although having said that, ds was 5 and a half weeks early so if this little munchkin is the same then I could be having her at the end of august anyway. The consultants are even giving me steroids at 28 weeks to help her lungs just in case.

I've not had swollen feet (yet) but they have been feeling like they are on fire by the evening. It's awful! Lots of leg and foot cramps too.

No c-section scar pain though. Maybe mention it at your next appt.

mum2kiss · 11/07/2014 11:10

Just checked my calendar and I have 34 working days to go...not too bad I guess!

I am.am still having back pain at work so I'm getting an assessment done of my workstation to try and make it more comfortable! 34 days of backache does not sound appealing!

munday I believe the under boob rib pain is where your ribs are expanding to accommodate your growing womb! I get it too and it's a very annoying pain! For me it's a cross between a bruised and an aching feeling!

Headed to the outlaws tomorrow...They want to discuss the buggy...oh joy! There's an nct nearly new sale in the morning which I'm looking forward to though!

bump a friend of mine had a low ratio with her first and all turned out to be fine. Your sis must be very worried though, understandably.

LondonJen · 11/07/2014 12:35

Buggerlugs after my bump seemed to change last week and got kicks in different places I got the tape measure out and had put an inch on round my hips in a week! No wonder knickers were digging in!! Am 27 weeks. Don't know if it's just baby moved or have grown or both but will be buying size up pants this weekend if I can haul my lazy bum to the shops.

My bump is very much to the front. And it's like an egg shape (pointy end down)!! My boobs have also started to sit on my bump which I find to be a horrible feeling.

I have to say that the need for bigger pants is making me wonder whether my current mat clothes will fit me for the next 3 months Hmm

Sorry your sis has had that worry bump I can understand that making you sad. Second Yellow re the statistics.

I haven't had swollen ankles but my calves really hurt after an evening out on Weds. Think my legs are used to being up in the evening and that must help but I know it's not feasible for everyone to be as lazy as me!

So so tired this week. My brain is like sludge, trying to concentrate I can feel the cogs creaking!
