I haven't had anything from my HR department either. I should probably ring them or something... another thing to add to my list for this week.

ExcitedCJ · 22/07/2014 03:08

Ahhhhh... Leg cramp! :(

BingoBango85 · 22/07/2014 07:37

I've pre washed (& pre washed again) all my new totsbots which are out on the line & look very cute. Trying to resist washing all my little outfits too....not sure how long that one will lastWink

mrsb87 · 22/07/2014 07:43

Hmm I haven't heard from my hr either. My manager has been dealing with everything do do with my mat leave. Should I have heard from them?

queenasanti3 · 22/07/2014 08:13

Last year I didnt hear anything about my maternity till about 4 weeks before my maternity began, although we are supposed to get the form filled in by a certain date, they dont seem to be in any rush to get back in touch.

mrsb87 · 22/07/2014 08:19

It's 4 and a half weeks til my mat leave starts. Should I start questioning it? Bit worried now!

Me23 · 22/07/2014 08:31

sazzle luckily there hasn't been anything too bad on here about mws but mumsnet as a whole can make my eyes roll sometimes. If course there are some terrible midwives out there but also there are women who will never be happy with what you do/say and expect to be spoon fed everything.

I also have to break down tasks very simple tasks like unloading washing machine and sorting clothes for tumble dryer/line, I need a break in between each step. I saw a thread yesterday on here where a pregnant women had hired a cleaner and I felt so jealous. We may have to consider one once baby is here as I can't see how we can cope with all the washing/cleaning plus work and looking after 3 kids though many people do cope I'm not superwoman and I hate cleaning!

captain hope you're feeling Better today.

Me23 · 22/07/2014 08:33

I haven't heard anything from HR but didn't get any paperwork last time either and get paid correctly so I think that's just how they do things where I am?

mrsb87 · 22/07/2014 08:36

Thanks for kind wishes. Still can't keep fluids down and have lost 7lbs in 24 hours. Now vomiting (blue?!) bile. Sorry if tmi. How long to give it until I contact someone? 48 hours maybe? Everything I've read says it shouldn't be harming baby. I'm still feeling movement and fairly sure it's not listeria. Really sucks though, I can't lie down comfortably as heartburn so bad and sitting up is too exhausting.

Captainmcgraw · 22/07/2014 09:21

Bump photos cheering me up though. Think I'll avoid one in my current state though!

Me23 · 22/07/2014 09:41

captain call your triage/mat unit as you are not able to keep down fluids they may want you in for IV fluids.
Your poor thing I hope you are on the mend soon please call though.

Missus2ndwife · 22/07/2014 09:44

Morning ladies,
Captain I think you should call your doctor. Vomming is not good and you're preggers too.

Anyone else constantly ravenous? I've been told to watch my weight as bordering obese and put on 3kgs. I'm trying to be healthy but constantly hungry. Any ideas what I can fill up on?

tak1ngchances · 22/07/2014 09:59

Golly captain that sounds really hard. Agree on the contacting the midwife or GP to see what you should do. It's far too hot to be missing fluids, you could dehydrate quickly.

missus how about any of these:

  • Veg crudites with little pot of hummous
  • Fresh fruit salad with low-fat greek yoghurt
  • apple cut up with peanut butter to dip
  • oatcakes or rice cakes with banana mashed on
Happytimes31 · 22/07/2014 10:03

Captain please call them, I had similar early on and had to go into a&e and have IV anti vomiting drugs (which really worked) and fluids. They were lovely and said v common in pregnant women as we suffer more in order to protect the baby.

bumpbangbump · 22/07/2014 10:27

No where near what youre suffering captain, but I just lost breakfast in a most spectacular fashion!

Ms is supposed to bugger off after he first trimester... Mine didn't get the memo! Shame I can't stay in bed for the next 10 weeks!!!

ohthegoats · 22/07/2014 10:46

missus - eat protein - fills you up for longer.

I've been testing it. Breakfast of ham, avocado, tomatoes and a boiled egg fills me up for about 4 hours, breakfast of cereal about 30 minutes, breakfast of loads of fruit with yoghurt about 90 minutes.

Same at lunch time - I had a burger with loads of homemade coleslaw yesterday (no bread, but that's a personal intolerance thing for me), sweetcorn, salad etc, piece of dark chocolate... filled me up for 6 hours. Didn't even think about food in between. When I was at school I was trying to eat sandwiches at lunch time, but I'd be starving by 3 having eaten at 12.30.

LondonJen · 22/07/2014 11:24

Yes let's Sazzle! My goal today is to find my camera so I can at least pretend I am going to take work photos.

Goats I bet we would all enjoy your browsing history (sounds a bit stalkerish!)

Thanks ladies, h&m's finest Smile

lol excited I can not get do interested in a carrier at all. He has now started saying that he'd like to sort the baby's room in advance though. I work in there currently and as baby won't be in there for 6 months or so I was trying to be restrained but I must admit I got excited at the thought! Fuck it, let's buy a cot!!

Oh Captain I really feel for you, hope you can see someone soon.

LondonJen · 22/07/2014 11:25

I just love these bump pics (goes with the baby obsession nicely!)

Really want a a hard boiled egg now.

sazzlehopes · 22/07/2014 12:13

Oh Captain you poor thing, hope you've taken me23 advice and rung in. You shouldn't be vomming that much.

London hope you've made an excellent effort to find that camera...my job is mainly glorified colouring in, so really it shouldn't be that hard for me to get a bit done today!

Thank you for the tips ladies. They're all great ideas.

I have been trying extra protein but think I need to up it more. Today's brekkie of two slices of Biona Rye, half an avo and tomato haven't touched sides. I am starving already.

I'm off to the shops shortly and will definitely stock up on items suggested. Thank you xx

queenasanti3 · 22/07/2014 13:25

Was hoping to upload a pic of 3d scan but the place cancelled on me , got to go Friday night, so not in the best mood today Angry
So thought I would join in with the bumps photos instead.
So heres mine 29 + 1 Smile ?
