Bugger... Just reading your posts about tops for breast feeding. Will be buying more clothes then as I was just planning on wearing my lovely jersey dresses but had forgotten about the need of ease to get my boobs out!!! Either that or I'll be living in the one maternity jumper that is also a nursing top.

YellowWellies · 21/07/2014 20:11

Binky I went to a wedding sans enfant in one such dress when J was 7 months. I didn't think it through. When we were reunited in the car he was so desperate for a feed I had to hitch my dress up to free a boob, parked beside a busy road in Glasgow haha Grin .

Goats you could be back in normal clothes super quick. I just looooove my comfy stretchy cosy mat jeans.

mrsb87 · 21/07/2014 20:11

Loving the fat face tunic there goats (eurgh how sad am I!?)
I have a few blousey type tops with buttons so I'm thinking those will be good for easy access.

JellyBeansHaveNoAgeLimit · 21/07/2014 20:13

Definitely been more emotional with this pregnancy, DH was surprised how normal i was last time, don't think he'll say the same this time! I have days where i am in a foul mood for absolutely no reason! I usually give dh a warning text on those days lol.

Lovely to see the other bumps, we all look so different!

fedupofrainydays · 21/07/2014 20:13

I found wearing two vest tops works - one you can pull down to expose boob and the other you lift up. Means belly is still covered and don't need fancy pants nursing clothes. That or v neck things you can pull aside.
I have a few dresses I can't wear this winter as can't pull to the side / down! Oh well, there's next winter. Doubt would get my huge bf boobs in them if I tried anyway!

fedupofrainydays · 21/07/2014 20:17

Ps the boden autumn catalogue just landed on my door mat. Don't usually like the clothes for women, just the kids stuff but I do like a few things in there this time!

ohthegoats · 21/07/2014 20:20

Haha, I thought you'd recognise it Mrsb - it's been one of my favourites, as has another FF tunic from a few years ago. It was £20 in the sale, so bargain too. I'm going in tomorrow to see if I can find anything a bit more colourful that'll stretch around me.

Another friend told me to do maternity vest top under any other top - one down, one up with a potential for covering a little, especially through the winter.

I have three dresses from Jojos that have the wrap bit around the boob, with holes underneath for BF. I didn't like them to begin with, but they were AMAZING for work. They'll do me until Christmas at least. Might get one other if any appear in the sale. Leggings under, boots on and cardis.. alright for winter.

Me23 you must do so many eye rolls at our helpful comments about what "our friends midwives" have apparently done/said!! I forget you are on here, I should really leave all the medical stuff for you to answer and not get involved Grin

Sorry to hear that Captain, hope it passes

Welcome Missus and Clops

Clops I am just coming up on 29 weeks and last week mentioned to the midwife I'd been crying for no reason most of the week (not nonstop! Just random bursts) but assumed it was usual. She said yes it was but could be made a lot worse if you're tired. I've felt better this week, whether just from more sleep I don't know.

I also can not conentrate on anything. I work for myself and should be making big plans to get the money in before and even after baby arrives but I don't do anything about it I just can't find the motivation. Tonight I just wanted to sort the baby stuff into the storage system, which I have done. Not going to help financially but made me happy!

I would add that when I do concentrate for a bit it really takes it out of me, like when you have a cold and you try to work and just using brain power makes you tired. Basically I am all for napping!

Love all the bump snaps Smile

sazzlehopes · 21/07/2014 21:40

I got bf vest tops last time from h&m in white and black, excellent value and meant I could wear pretty much whatever and just pull up without exposing my belly....

London I too work for myself freelancing, and my brain literally switched off the moment I got my long awaited bfp. I've forced myself to keep going but all I want to do is get baby clothes out of loft and sort and wash and best. I'm going to try and keep going until mid September, but I find it so hard to work and not google baby things half the day!!!

LondonJen · 21/07/2014 21:48

Sazzle, exactly, it's so hard!! Is it some kind of primeaval thing, your brain only wanting to think about the baby and preparing for it's arrival or what?! Any excuse for online perusing

ohthegoats · 21/07/2014 22:00

My internet search history is the most boring search history in the whole of time. I've been googling baby stuff since the very beginning, obsessively almost. At school I had my random search crap open on my tablet the whole time.. and before anyone knew about it, I was posting on here during class time. Honestly it's ridiculous. I hate it when all my friends go obsessed, but I know that I am too - I can only think that's it's biologically meant to happen. It took me a long time to get into the whole idea of a baby, I had to do lots of reading and research for my own mental health too. I feel sorry for the boyf, I know he's not as interested in all this as I am, but almost every conversation comes round to baby related stuff... he doesn't sigh, but I expect he wants to!

In all, pregnancy has made me not myself!

sazzlehopes · 21/07/2014 22:01

Maybe London...no one is going to pay me when I'm off so I really do need to earn the cash now! Oh well let's muddle through together!

fedupofrainydays · 21/07/2014 22:12

I'm also in the 'I can't be arsed' camp. It's really hard to motivate myself to do anything. However I have the nesting thing so do want to clean and sort. Just don't want to do any work or my study (am doing qualification on the side and need to complete next bit by 16 aug - eeek) and just want to choose curtains and paint instead of living in a bloody building site!

queenasanti3 · 21/07/2014 22:12

Had my whopping cough vaccine today, arm feeling slightly achy, 17 working days left spread over 7 weeks so some nice short weeks ahead which iam very thankful for, due to this heat.
This baby is hoing crazy as I type really distinctive pokes all over, having my 3d scan again tomorrow so going to check the weight with her again as it was well ovrr 2 lb last week but she did say it was quit long.
Decided to buy a little light thin soft fleece pramsuit to come home in as not sure what the weather will be like, I bought 0-3 but now debating whether to change it for first size, any opinions ? Confused

fedupofrainydays · 21/07/2014 22:13

Cool dress london!

queenasanti3 · 21/07/2014 22:14

Ignore my stupid spelling, this phone writes what it wants x

fedupofrainydays · 21/07/2014 22:21

Probably newborn queen if you want it specifically for leaving hospital.

Although thought of something fleecy in this heat makes me feel a bit ill!!

queenasanti3 · 21/07/2014 22:42

Its not really fleecy more just soft touch, yes it is to come home in as it might be a little cold ?

ExcitedCJ · 21/07/2014 22:43

Thank goodness it's not only me! All I'm interested in is baby, shopping for baby or preparation for baby. Basically something that makes me feel like I am moving closer to meeting the baby! I feel like a total boring nutter! I could talk about slings or sleeping arrangements for hours.
Thanks for all bump pics, London your dress is indeed very cute.

queenasanti3 · 21/07/2014 22:52

Iam just getting obessed with what to bring him/her home in. I got a great bottle starter pack from asda the other day just in case the baby doesnt take to breast,
It was a tommee tippee set: x2 150ml bottle x2 260ml bottles, med flow teats x2 soothers and a bottle brush for £15 should be £30, so that got the ball rolling ended up get all kinds of stuff, want to hang fire with clothing till its born and i know the sex x

ExcitedCJ · 21/07/2014 22:56

My Boba 4G arrived today & some lovely silk & merino breast pads. I'm so excited to use my new carrier, I had my DH walking round the room modelling it earlier. :)

queenasanti3 · 21/07/2014 23:00

Haha i bet he was impressed having to do that Grin
