Poor your MrsB, i feel very sorry for any ladies still getting sickness! Glad you managed to save your sarnie though!

Just thought i would share my bump pic from today, this is me at 28 weeks. I compared it to my 30 week pic from last time & its about the same size! I am going with the theory that its bigger because its already been stretched out once & not because i have a 12 pounder growing in there!

Anyone else want to share a bump pic?

Bednest collected and all looks good! Excited to try setting it up in our room now.

I'm another one who has sickness returned. It goes for about 10 weeks - week 16 to 26 and then back. With ds I was sick quite a fair bit in third trimester

Same happened to me with my favourite boys name - someone who is due in August was telling me what they will call their boy (they know sex) and it was that name. Annoying!

MrsDinoRawr · 20/07/2014 19:50

Hey everyone.

tak1ng I am def having clumsy moments - forever hitting doors etc with arms. I have bumped into a few children at school with my bump, boobs or bum... highly embarrassing but they seem to stick out further than I realise!!

So we have broken up for the summer holidays!!! I am going back for three weeks in September and then official maternity leave will start. I decided to start a blog - not that anyone will prob ever read it or find it interesting. I hope to do lots of fun crafts and activities with the baby once it is old enough. If any of you fancy checking it out here is the link playathometeacher.blogspot.co.uk/

Obviously baby is still inside my bump so it is very much a maternity blog for the time being...

ohthegoats · 20/07/2014 20:13

Isn't it lovely to be off though Dino? I can't believe how much better I feel this evening compared to any other work day evening. No heart burn, no leg ache, no bump ache... yet I've swum 80 lengths, walked on the coastal path, done two yoga sessions and been to do a food shop. I've eaten burgers, cheese, some chocolate and normal other stuff that makes me feel dreadful, but nothing. Just no hassle to any of it.

Despite fighting for a return to work in September, I'm now regretting it a bit and already dreading it!! It's only 10 actual days in class though, 4 of those team teaching with my replacement (where he does all the work and I just watch), so probably bearable.

tak1ngchances · 20/07/2014 20:16

Great bump jellybeans!

Glad other people are clumsy and it's not just me!

MrsDinoRawr · 20/07/2014 20:33

Yeah it's so nice knowing there are no school jobs that need doing by certain date. I need to go into school this week to finish emptying my classroom for the nqt. So happy - no more planning or marking for some time. Bring on the dirty nappies and sleepless nights!

Goats did you say you were in Cornwall? So jealous - I love it there. Hope you are having good weather. We have had lot of storms and rain here

bumpbangbump · 20/07/2014 20:35

A friend at work once shouted out to me, as I bumped my UMP onto a door while opening it, oh hove lost you whiskers!! Apparently if a cat loses it's whiskers is stops having an sense of spaces they can for through... We have all lost our whiskers ladies.

I had a Moses basket last time and found it a pain. Ds often ended up in with me. This time a friend is lending me her bad nest so hoping that is better for the in and outness during the night.

I'm also being sick again, every bloody morning! It's so very boring now.

MrsDinoRawr · 20/07/2014 20:37

Haha lost whiskers makes perfect sense! Anyone else find it's easy getting into public toilets but not so easy getting out?

fedupofrainydays · 20/07/2014 20:39

Uh oh, ds thinks bed nest is his new bed!!

goats maybe be off sick for those 10 days - then you don't have to face it and mat leave just starts 10 days earlier

YellowWellies · 20/07/2014 20:41

Moses baskets creak, squeak and crunch - you wouldn't believe how noisy an inanimate object can be until its 4am and you're desperately trying to noiselessly transfer a newborn you've finally got to sleep into a creaky Moses basket - so you can get your first couple of hours sleep all night. Torture devices!

ExcitedCJ · 20/07/2014 20:48

Fedup no Bednests on EBay or Gumtree anywhere near me. Had thought about renting, will keep an eye out for another few weeks & may rent (although DH hates the idea of renting as he reckons we will damage it & have to pay for it anyway!)
Jellybeans posted a pic to keep you company, 28 wks tomorrow. :)

STIGZ · 20/07/2014 21:04

Did anyone watch "9 months later" on sky living channel ?

It was actually very good and brought back all the emotions of having a newborn! ... Eleated, deflated, excited, exhausted, extreme love, extreme dislike(dp) haha(",) .... It all begins again .... Arrrghaaaaa im so nervous but so excited at the same time !!!

ohthegoats · 20/07/2014 23:01

Yep Dino, I've agreed with my Head that I'll go in for the first two TD days, no matter what (I'm running one of them), then if I don't feel up to actually doing a job in class, I'll go off sick. He's fine for me to do that, and the NQT guy we've got covering me is on call for that to happen too.

I just had an hour on the phone with my aunt, who has three children, giving me the full on run down of all of her labours/births. Then her daughter in laws labour/birth.

She was quite funny about saying when they put her first son onto her stomach, she looked at him and felt really strange - all she could see was her brother's face, and it felt almost incestuous or something. Weird.

mum2kiss · 20/07/2014 23:11

Lol @ incestuous!

I love people being honest about their experiences

fedupofrainydays · 21/07/2014 06:47

Ds shouting at 5 am.. "Mummeeeeeeeeee you are AWAKE"

Well I am now! And broken.

binkybunny · 21/07/2014 07:00

Just popping in to say hi. Crazy busy at work as our new website goes live this week (thankfully I'm not working on!) and our rebrand, pop up shop and big event the week after- all of which I'm doing! So jealous of those of you on hols right now!

We had more practice of night feeds this weekend as our house bunny is sick so we've had to syringe feed her every four hours. Its not happened for a year and had forgotten how like the walking dead I feel. I also realised when I nearly drifted off to sleep that this is how I'll spend most days feeling come October Shock

For cots/moses baskets etc we bought a swing crib the weekend of our BFP which will be going in our room. Its small enough to fit near the bed and only cost 50. The brand new airflow mattress was 35 so a cheaper option than the bed nest thingys. She wont be attached to the bed but close enough.

Right better get to work. 3 full weeks and a few part time weeks left and counting Grin

puppythedog · 21/07/2014 07:57

Morning all. Loving not having to take mrsthedog to work today #oneextrahourinbedatleast.

ohthegoats · 21/07/2014 09:57

Today when looking down I can see my bump sticking out from behind my boobs - first time. Crikey.

mum2kiss · 21/07/2014 10:15

Got my official maternity leave letter from my employer this morning which states that the latest I can return to work is 28th September 2015!!! Oh if only we could afford for me to be off that long!

Pregnantagain7 · 21/07/2014 12:14

Hi all, just back from my growth scan baby is huge off the scale so looks like another 10lb+ for me!! Consultant said they wouldn't induce me just because baby is big, what's the point of doing growth scans then?! Confused trying not to think about it too much they said they will review around due date and see how I'm getting on so might push for it then. I just don't want to be left to go two weeks over and end up with an eleven pound baby!
After talking to people on here I decided to find out the sex and..... it's a boy!!!!! So so pleased a brother for my Ds, two of each now feeling very very blessed :)
Now I just need to keep it a secret for the next 12 weeks Grin

sazzlehopes · 21/07/2014 12:21

Pregnant, my friend was worried about another big baby and her midwife didn't mind giving her a sweep before her due date...she went into labour naturally after that and all was good! Maybe you could chat to your midwife about options?
And you are very blessed indeed, 2 of each is amazing!

That would be nice Mum2 that seems ages away!

I love that grey bed thingy oooo wish we could afford one.

I am SO pmt style clumsy. I keep saying to dp he has to move things out of the way and he says stuff is not in the way. But it is because I can't walk in a straight line and tend to bounce off the walls esp when heading to the loo in the night! I nearly fell over trying to sit down on the sofa yest, that was embarrasing as we had guests!

Also got massive stretching/round ligament pains like not had since late 1st/early 2nd trimester. Keep forgetting I need to go back to getting up slowly.

That's so cute Fedup apart from the hour it happened!

Pregnantagain7 · 21/07/2014 12:26

sazzle will def have a chat next time I see her I would take anything on offer! Not had any success with sweeps in the past but would definitely give it a go.

LondonJen · 21/07/2014 12:28

Yey Pregnant! Smile I take it that is what you were expecting? Nice to not be the only one with a secret ha ha! That's really interesting that they wouldn't induce based on size. I would've expected otherwise. Hopefully baby will want to meet you bang on time!

ohthegoats · 21/07/2014 12:33

Interesting about size.

In normal type circumstances, do babies tend to stay in their 'centile' even through the last couple of months? Or is that when things tend to go a bit random?

Mine has been just under 50% all along, apart from its legs, which are quite a bit over. I've got another scan in a fortnight - because they thought it was going to be small. I'm wondering if its growth might now slow down a bit.
