Haha Keep - did it make a reappearance?? I nicked a bit of DH's doner meat the other week... I knew pretty much instantaneously it was a bad idea... Envy lol!!

Just had my hair done at home as my hairdressers salon has shut down. Total faffage! But no more roots at least Smile

Off to a bbq later but looking as tho me, DH and the pupster will be the only guests so feel a bit bad for the hosts... x

Loobyloo893 · 12/07/2014 12:17

Haha keep. The only meat I can stomach at the moment is chicken. The thought of any other meat makes me sick.
We're off for a walk by the river and ice cream this afternoon. And tomorrow DH is taking DS swimming and for lunch so I can have a few hours to myself Grin

blizy · 12/07/2014 13:34

Looby, I've been off meat too. I can't walk down the meat aisle in tesco without boaking!

Nothing exciting for me this weekend dh is at T in the park , so it's just me! the cat and tv remote for the weekend. May go to the shop later for some ice cream.

ViviPru · 12/07/2014 14:38

RPopz must be a relief to get your hair sorted - I'm desparate for a haircut/root job, I'm about 2 months overdue but not been able to find the time. My friend took a photo of me from the back though and it looks horrendous so it's now High Priority...

We're about to exit the M1 for M25 hell... joy...

Went to a sweet shop and asked for their sourest sweet. They told me to try one as they are "horrible". It burnt my mouth but I couldn't taste any sourness. DH tried one and spat it straight out it was so sour. I'm currently eating a lemonBlush

made Thinking of you.

This week end seems to be dragging. I have to keep reminding myself it's not Sunday! Time seems to be going very slowly waiting for my next hospital appointment! That said, DS has friends over = a house full of 11 year old boys. I wen't to go and keep out of their way in my room and catch up on some paperwork. Next thing I know two hours have passed and I had fallen asleep. Thankfully the house is still intact. Now about to make dinner for them all and try to force myself to stay awake.

Minibagel · 12/07/2014 17:25

looby that's so funny, our tastebuds obviously go through hell with pg. I still don't fancy much food. Have a taste for steak today though, tempted to follow the advice in my nhs purple pregnancy book from ds1 last year and have it pink as long as the outside is well cooked. I know the advice changes all the time but I'm so desperate. And its from a good butchers etc. Can anyone remember what the risk with red meat is? Is it salmonella? Resident medical expert??

Scoobsmam13 · 12/07/2014 17:28

Catching up. So sorry to read the sad post from MadeG and sending best wishes.

RPopz · 12/07/2014 17:35

I think steak is ok (I always have mine pink anyway!)

Minibagel · 12/07/2014 17:45

Oh no it says they are researching the risk of toxoplasmosis. Thats the one that can seriously affect the foetus.

RPopz · 12/07/2014 17:58

You have cats tho don't you? I've always had pets so I'm already riddled Wink

cheshirem2b · 12/07/2014 18:00

RPopz great thinking! Might have steak tomorrow! Dads home made lasagne tonight! :-)

Minibagel · 12/07/2014 18:15

I don't have a cat myself. I think they say if you have a cat you're probably already immune to toxoplasmosis, but the baby isn't? Might be wrong though.

I just looked up perineal massage to try and avoid a tear this time. Blimey.

I'll ask my yoga teacher, she is a big fan of it. My friend is a midwife though and said that just because you have a tear first birth doesn't mean you will again, because of all the stretching (what a lovely thought!)

If you're immune to something, baby by default is. All antibodies etc come from you. x

RPopz · 12/07/2014 18:51

Until its born obvs! But then breastmilk etc. Is my understanding.

LulusMiniEgg · 12/07/2014 19:16

Ooh DH came home from his parents with a bouncy chair and cot left from his niece and nephew, this is all starting to feel a bit real. Scary...

I'm going to do done kind of prawn in tomato sauce with pasta. Made a cake today as well. Third cake in 3 weeks, what the hell is happening to me?! I never bake!

Camsie30 · 12/07/2014 19:38

Can someone remind me of the name of the app that tracks your bump growth? Decided that I probably should document it!

Went to a pg yoga class this morning, it was NOT for me. Way too plinky, visualise a flower, namaste etc for my liking. Think I'll stick with Pilates.

Made, I think you're amazing. What a terrible decision to have to make. I would do exactly the same in your situation. I hope that you have lots of support and love around you xx

KatnissEvermean · 12/07/2014 19:57

I went with my parents today for them to put the deposit on the pushchair for me. It's so nice of them to buy it! They said it has to live at their house until after the baby arrives as they're superstitious!

Also bought some wall stickers for the nursery. They were reduced and the last ones left in the shop, so I couldn't resist. Leaves and cats and dogs. It's my first baby purchase.

I've been thinking about baby's first teddy bear. I feel like that is THE important purchase, because it's the one thing they'll probably keep forever. I'm thinking of getting a Steiff Knuffi because they're so cute.

Lulu, you're becoming a domestic goddess! Since being pregnant I have mostly lazed on the sofa, I need to take a page from your book.

BethsBaba · 12/07/2014 19:57
